One sunny day on Donguri Island, Twinbee & Winbee are buzzing about on patrol when suddenly they receive a message. It is Madoka from Dandelion Town calling for help. She is being chased and threatened by soldiers from the evil Donguri Army, who have been sent by her grandfather, Professor Mardock. The mad Professor had an accident (he banged his head on a pole) which changed him into an evil scientist, planning to take control of the world.
Twinbee & Winbee about turn and set off to destroy the Donguri soldiers. After 7 thrilling levels they finally arrive at the Mad Professor's headquarters, which they must destroy in order to save the world.
Collect the bell power ups. If you shoot a cloud, a bell appears. Keep shooting the bell and it changes colour and different colours give you different power ups. Use your special weaponry to shoot, punch and bomb enemies as you fly through 7 cute, colourful stages such as Dandelion town, with evil fruit and vegetables and Aqua Park with it's awful acid-spitting fish.
Two player simultaneous action! Use a swing-your-partner attack, share a life or play together in couple mode for even greater enjoyment.

Pop'n Twinbee!Ahh Pop'n Twinbee an excellent example of a unique Shmup ( Shoot-em up ).
Konami really out did themselves here with the creation of another great Twinbee game,
Twinbee being one of my favorite shmups out there which also includes parodius ;D
Now to spare the rambling lets get going!
Game-play:The game-play of Twinbee in itself is a unique experience. Shooting clouds never really seemed logical before playing Twinbee... never mind the use of bells to obtain power-ups... this was a unique experience. One that stays in your mind as you blast your way through the stages.

Starting with the simple character design which would be easy to distinguish from other shooter vehicles such as the space ships from the Gradius Franchise. Not to forget some of the lovely level designs!

Sound : 8/10
Lets face the fact that for most shmups the sounds can be very... over powering, shoots being constantly fired and so on...
But in twinbee the music keeps its ground making me personally wanting to play more! The sound track is one of my favourite SNES sound tracks and I don't think that is going to change anytime soon!
Story : 6 /10
The story is a simple mad scientist... (who wasn't mad until he hit his head on a pole) who wants to take over the world... Pretty generic but still tones of fun with the wacky style of Twinbee.
Depth : 8 /10
It feels like it goes on forever... but alas that isn't true although it can take a while to beat you do have to stop once you've won.
Addictiveness : 10/10
Yup... nothing to say but this is my favorite twinbee ever... Especially if you get a second player over net-play!
I won't stop playing until I've mastered every little movement to maximize potential.. And as soon as I've done that I won't use cheats xD..

Difficulty : 10/10
The first two-three stages are easy... but once you get to the last few stages you can really tell how much the difficulty increased.
You need to move fast, shoot and bomb before you yourself get wiped out. Specially since you have limited chibi attacks.
Even playing with two people can be even more challenging as you have to share a life meter!
Overall : 10/10
In conclusion Twinbee is one of the funniest and most wackiest games I have ever played, I found it fun to beat and even funnier to share my experiences over net-play in fact due to how much I like the game I believe this has been my biggest review yet, excluding my Harvest Moon FOMT review.
Overall I must saying Pop'n Twinbee is a must play for any shmup player, or even those who don't play shoot-em ups should consider playing it, I mean since the first level lets you get to grips with the controls I think it would be an ideal game for first time shoot-em uppers
I can't wait to get back to playing so I'm going to end of my review here. Thank you for reading my review, please give me any tips for future reviews below thanks!
