Six NES classics FTW. Azul Fria
Note: I would give the difficulty a 1 because of the rewind feature but I decided to bump it up to a 3 because you can't use that feature in Time Attack and Boss Rush plus you get a trophy for beating at least one game without rewinding.
WARNING: This game only has 21 trophies and they are all bronze so if you are looking for higher quality trophies, then do not buy it unless you are playing this game for the fun of it like I am.
OVERVIEW
Disney and Capcom have teamed together once again to re-release some of their classic NES games onto modern consoles. You will not find Little Mermaid or Little Nemo: The Dream Master in this compilation because the games in this compilation started off as after-school cartoon shows when my mother was still a kid. Little Mermaid did get its own cartoon but it was a game first. The six games in this cartoon are: Chip N' Dale Rangers 1 & 2, Ducktales 1 & 2, Darkwing Duck, and Tale Spin. Out of all of the cartoon shows that they spawned from, only Darkwing Duck featured original characters as the other shows characters were based on existing characters (Tale Spin features Jungle Book characters).
GRAPHICS - A
The user interfaces are all modernized but as for the gameplay itself, each game is featured in all of its 8-bit glory with everything smooth down in 1080p form to keep it from being all pixelated just like Capcom has done with Mega Man 9 and 10. All the forest levels, city levels, etc.. are as great as they were when you first played them.
CONTROLS - B
As a whole, the controls are still a little bit of a let down. The worse offenders is Darkwing Duck. Have fun getting past the very first boss as you will probably have a hard time navigating up and down because Darkwing will sometimes go where you do not want him to go. Other games are fairly decent and still easy to adjust too except for maybe Tale Spin as you sometimes have to turn around to attack foes from behind which is bad if you are surrounded by enemies.
GAMEPLAY - A+
Aside from what you are familiar with in the past, the added Boss Rush and Time Attack give you good practice before you try out the real thing. There is also a leader-board to compete with others for the fastest time. Do not bother with trying to get the top score as some of the people on that list pull off ridiculous moves to achieve their place in the hall of fame. The actual gameplay that matters is the main game where you are playing the actual NES game. This time around it is friendly to people of all ages thanks to the good old, rewind feature which lets you backtrack to a point of your choosing just like in Rare Replay for the XBox One.
SOUND/MUSIC - A
A cool feature in this game is you can also listen to the soundtrack without playing the game but the coolest music are the remix mashup of each game's music in their respective menus.
REPLAYABILITY - A
Technically, just playing a game in this compilation is considered replaying its NES counterpart if you played the latter before. The game is good if you are having fun as the Bronze only trophies should not deter you playing it. Trophies are not everything. XBox One players should not have a problem as Achievements have little to no value as Trophies.
OVERALL - A
Six great NES games for the price of one is definitely worth the money to spend on this game. Ducktales and Rescue Rangers 1 will always be my favorite of the bunch.
