Fable III
A game with a lot of expectations that didn't quite live up to what I had hoped personally. I had enjoyed my first time going through the first fable, playing as a good guy then going on a bloody rampage through Oak vale near the end for the fun of it. The first game for me almost felt like I was finally able to do whatever I wanted, be whoever I felt like and just enjoy being the master of the world. Fable 2 was kind of the same way(though that one is a bit forgettable), I felt free to roam around and discover my own way of doing things. But in this latest edition I didn't see that, it felt too story driven, which would be fine if I had been looking for that kind of game.

This game looked fine, like most Xbox 360 titles it looks nice, and I don't even remember there being any big graphical glitches, it was well polished and nice, my only complaint is the people. They just didn't look right to me (especially the princess character you could be, she just looked like the prince in a dress), I much preferred the people in fable 2.
Sound: 9
Nothing amazing about the music, though the voice acting was well done.
Addictiveness: 6
It just wasn't all that fun to play through more than once, I even tried to get back into it before this review and quickly lost interest. If anything you would play again for the ending but all that would take to see is a good save point where you can get more money before the end.
Story: 8
The story was a bit of a change up with a deeper and darker evil at the end than you expect at the beginning, but it did feel to me like the main evil, the darkness, was just thrown on at the last minute as a device to get the old guy killed off for some emotional reaction from the player. I would have preferred to have the game go a bit deeper into the story of the brothers fighting over the throne, but even with my complaining I did enjoy it the first time through.
Depth: 6
This game isn't all that deep, other than the filler quests and some extra little tidbits everything felt somewhat superficial to me, I felt like I was playing a game that was on rails that kept me on the only path that didn't lead to a dead end.
Difficulty: 7
The difficulty was moderate at best, the controls where easy to learn and the battles where sometimes big ordeals that you had to overcome but those where few and far between, everything else was easy as lightning bolt here, chop up that guy, shoot that explosive crate and wipe the chunks of bad guy off your nice princely clothes, or chicken suit whichever you prefer.

This game just didn't impress me like the original did, and I would have liked it more if I had been prepared for what it was. I would still say that if you like the fable series for its choice of right and wrong and the combat system you should pick this game up, but just keep in mind that the story isn't what you have seen in the other two installments of this great series.

Fable III - Good or Rubbish? GamingMonkey
Fable was one of my favourite games.Then fable II came and I was pleased.But lets see if it is really good?Graphics 8 : Well, the graphics are the same as fable II and fable II graphics were awesome for a 2008 game.But this game was made in 2010.Were we supposed to expect more from the graphics?The graphics were still great though.
Sound 9 : The sound is extraordinary but they are not as good as fable the lost chapters themes.TLC had themes that expanded the mythical feeling.Don't get me wrong the sound is fantastic.Addictiveness 6 : This is when the review starts saying the bad things about the game.The addictiveness, this is a important thing in games.The game was addicting before you became king.Making your journey to find the rebellion and doing awesome side quests.But when you become king, the quests just got bland and stupid.There was barely any side quests and the side quests sometimes go away when you don't do them before the battle.And if you live in bowerstone when you are at the siege.Your family dies!How stupid is that!Wasn't there supposed to be a warning or anything indicating that your family will get killed?If we knew that we would take them to a temporary place to live!Not to let them die!So the game was boring when you became the king.Story 7 : The story is kinda dope but there was good things about it.You are the younger brother of king Logan, as your dad died.But he is doing evil deeds but this helps the city become better and have more defences (no spoilers why he is actually doing this)The main bad guy comes out of no where though.There was no explanation for the main villain.And no, Logan is not the main villain.You can make him join you when you become king.Which is better then killing him since his men help you when you do so.Depth 7 : The side quests were awesome to be honest and when you become king, you get more money for doing evil choices.But less when you do good choices. I mean, you can turn an orphanage into a brothel!Well I prefer adopting kids.I need a family on this game.But there are some things you can not decide.You can't save Walter! (One of the major characters in this game)So the depth and choices could of been improved.The dialogues were kind of cheesy though.Also, when you interact with someone.You either dance with them or do pattycake with them!Even with a male if you choose the male character!This is why I only interact with females in this game.Difficulty 5 : The difficulty is not really hard.The controls are very easy and you can easily kill enemies.The bad thing is that when you die, you don't re spawn, you just get up and lose some mana.This was also a bad thing about Fable II as well.So the game was not really hard when you look at it.Overall 7 : This game is decent.Lots of bad things about it though.This game could be improved and dialogue could of been better.And please, they need to fix the thing for the gender differences!Males don't want to dance with males!Or at least let us choose our interactions.I want to make friends!Not marry men!So this can be improved a lot.This is my review.Hoped you liked it.
