Here's some criticism from someone who is certified in graphical design...

Not eye-catching enough. Most logos are not minimalist for a reason. You want a logo that pops out and is particularly noticeable in a crowd.

Logos should be unique. You don't want just a box or circle that says "VIzzed Board." You want a logo that is easily distinguishable from others. Take the current logo, for example. You have the lightning and flares that make it more unique than just a word in a shape.

A logo should have some meaning to it that symbolizes your company's name or what they stand for. Logos should represent your company in some way. Take McDonald's for example. Their golden arches represent french fries. Wendy's logo has this imaginary girl named Wendy. Apple's logo is, well, an apple. Keep in mind that not all logos need to be this way. Take Wal-Mart for example.

I know these are supposed to be rough ideas, but MSPaint isn't the right program for this. A logo should look professional.


As it stands right now, the current Vizzed Board logo could use a little touching up but is otherwise not too bad. I think the Retro Game Room logo is a great example of what a logo/banner should look like.
