yellow has been a little more contested lately, though I'm not certain if it's been intentional or accidental on the parts of some. Still, it's been interesting seeing things shaken up, and definitely fun.

Part of me is enjoying this immensely, and part of me wants it to end so I can get back to some semblance of a normal life. xD I'm spending all of my time on here, and admittedly neglecting some other things that I should be doing first. My Life RPG app is screaming at me. lol


This will almost certainly be my last TdV that I actively compete in for various reasons, so I really want to take yellow, but that's taking a lot of effort.
Here's to trying though!

It feels like déjà vu all over again! It also feels like we are stuck in an Endless Eight loop... XD (Bonus points to whoever knows that reference. lol) After that, all of the screenshot descriptions changed into 1's... oO;; When we see everything else change into 0's, then we'll know that we're really stuck in the Matrix (and stuck in an Endless Eight loop while we're at it!). lol

Yuna1000 : The results have been mostly the same for nearly a week straight now as to why I haven't even bothered changing the title.

Heheh... Can't believe I finally got onto the Tour de Vizzed leader board, and with my first Jersey, too!

Now, I need to be careful about when I post the walkthrough which I am working on, because if I remember right, I need to make sure it doesn't take up more than a certain percentage of my words, is that right?

You just have to make sure that more than 50% of your words for that day are not posted in the last hour, meaning from 11 PM to 12 AM server time ( which is Central US time zone ). Also, make sure to read over the Game Guide Forum's rules if you haven't already, just to be safe. The requirements aren't anything over the top, but that way you don't have to worry about it not earning what you hope it will lol. 

So if you post 500 words before 11 PM, you cannot post 501+ words from 11 - 12, or else you will be DQ'd from Yellow. This prevents users from saving up work and submitting it all at the last minute, which is unfair to others who don't have that opportunity ( and kind of cheap in general ). 

(Hope I made that clear enough. Let me know if there's any confusion lol. ^^ ) 

Yeah, that's a good point. You don't want to be Greninja'd at the last minute by someone making a very huge post during the final few minutes.

Although first, I need to finish the guide. I'm still missing a few bits which needs filling in...

The yellow jersey is just based on word count, right? I'm not intentionally trying to win anything. I just like writing in-depth answers that are more than, "My favorite color is blue, what's yours?"

And I also wrote a quick story in Yuna's story-telling thread. That bumped the count, I'm certain.

But it's not to win a jersey. I won a white jersey when I first started but that was only due to participating, not an extended effort to get on the board.

Yay me!

Well, this is my first time actually competing after getting my first Jersey. So I'm going to give it my all and maybe cause a surprise upset.

Davideo7 : we'll see if today will have a bit of a shakeup when a newcomer to the TdV (although not to Vizzed) drops a bomb in the form of his guide.

Is it just me or interest for Tour de Vizzed has sharply declined? Notwithstanding people posting guides or reviews, red and yellow jerseys don't seem to have that much competition. And for blue, it seems "too" easy to win - my jersey last week was won with like 15 posts.

janus : the site is on it's last leg. Ever since Nintendo issued the DMCA, traffic has greatly reduced. If David is wanting to raise site activity, he's going to have to do something soon. But, with him working, there's not much time to invest into the site.

You cannot have your cake and eat it too. You cannot simultaneously brag about doing something, then act as if you didn't play any role in something.

I don't give a s*** what you did 500000 years ago (since that's what it's felt like), because guess what, people make s***ty mistakes, and those s***ty mistakes aren't what defines us, it's how we respond to those s***ty mistakes.

When I went through my own "s***ty mistake" phase with Vizzed (which culminated in me admitting to playing with people's lives, f***ing everyone over, and being a general dick, something that drove away a decent amount of Vizzed's traffic during the single greatest period of activity the site has ever had (in terms of post count, anyways), I owned up to my mistake, took six months off of the site, and the majority of the internet, went on a life quest, found my center, and my conscience.

When I returned, I became a much more mellow person to 99% of people, mainly, people who had done nothing wrong. These people and I have even become friends since then. Or at least casual acquaintances, it's still not "easy" to become a "friend" of mine, for personal reasons.

Upon returning, you acted as if you'd never done anything wrong, and quickly re-established yourself as a negative person to the majority of the site, showing us that very little had in fact changed between the time of your ban, and the time of your return.

I'm only telling you this, because I know you are capable of being a better person than you have shown throughout your time on Vizzed, we've played Overwatch together, and you are fully capable of being a reasonable, decent (if a bit annoying at times) person. What you are doing right now, really isn't reasonable "or" decent, because regardless of your intent, you did do something, and it is rather plausible that it is either a direct or indirect cause for a lot of the issues Vizzed has had since the initial incident.

I'm not really privy as to everything regarding Nintendo, because let's be honest, I'm not a huge fan of the RGR, I prefer the boards. But one thing is clear. You sent a report to Nintendo. Nintendo hit Vizzed with a DMCA. Whether you were responsible for the DMCA or not is unimportant at that stage, because, you in essence, declared war on Vizzed with your report.

If I take a swing at someone, regardless of whether or not it makes contact, it starts a fight. If you knock on somebody's door, and leave a flaming bag of s***, regardless of whether or not they stomped on the s***, you are responsible.

I am not asking you to do anything as asinine as apologize, because again, being honest, it means jack s***. What I want you to do, is own up to your mistake/intent, and move on, and be a better person for it. Regardless of said intent, however, you "did" in essence declare war on David, and you are extremely fortunate that he was forgiving enough to bring you back.

I think we have been getting off topic here. What happened in the past stays in the past.

Although I need to say something about it before we draw a line on this.
thing1 : It could had been that Davideo7 mistook what you said about you 'threatening to go to Nintendo' as that, and not what you actually meant.


Anyways, with that out of the way, let's talk about the Tour de Vizzed which this thread is about, and...

Well, would you look at that. A triple Jersey win, of which one I had double what second place had... And one where I had four times what second place had. The Red was close, though. And... I'm glad I placed in all four Jerseys, and making the top 10.

Although how does the extra points work for first if they have such a big lead?

If 1st place has Double or more than what 2nd place has, you get 7 points for that color Jersey instead of 5. So if 1st has 20 posts, and 2nd has 10 or less, it's a 7-pointer, but if it was 20 and 11+, you would only get 5 points for it. This applies to all 4 Jerseys individually, so a 7-pointer in Blue does not effect your score for any other color, unless you also doubled 2nd in that Jersey as well.

It was nice to finally get something of a break for once. I didn't have to do hardly anything the last few hours of the night, and got a chance to relax just watching some anime. I'm loving every minute of it I can get, as the breaks seem few and far between over this last week lol.
