Hi! I have a bunny for a 4-H project. I made a poster last year about caring for my bunny, an almost 1 year old Mini Rex. It showed lots of things like what she eats, where she lives and plays, toys she likes to play with, how to keep her cool in the summer. Most rabbits eat the same diet whether they are pets/show or wild. For example, mine loves dandelion greens/yellow flowers and chewing on certain types of wood like they do in the wild. They also like hay/dried grass like prairie hay or timothy, some fruits like berries or apples, vegetables like celery, carrots or a little romaine lettuce. I feed her a little bit of all of these twice a day plus unlimited pellet food called Nutrena. Her favorite chew sticks are cottonwood, willow and pecan twigs. I hope some of that helps with your project.
There are a lot of sites out there with information. I will copy a few for you that we have saved for when we need help with something or just some information. There is a magazine called Rabbits USA, which the 2016 edition had a section on wild vs domestic life and diets. ARBA members get a magazine called Domestic Rabbits every couple of months with their paid membership. I don't think it's available to buy elsewhere though so that's probably not helpful sorry. 4-H has a curriculum series about rabbit project available through the 4-H Mall website. I only have book 1 right now since it's my first year but will order the next one soon. YouTube has a lot of cute videos on everything from just playing, teaching them tricks, wearing costumes, or caring for them.
I don't know if it's allowed to put direct links so I will tell you name of site and maybe you can Google it to find the homepages:
BinkyBunny , House Rabbit Society, The Rabbit House, Fuzzy-Rabbit, Bunny Proof, Pet Helpful Rabbits section.
Hope some of this helps and good luck on your project.
