Eniitan : Of course, but I didnt care; If I had to freeze to death to enjoy the snow I gladly would lol.

We do not want anyone getting hurt or dead this winter.

Snow before Christmas = Winter Wonderland
Snow after Christmas = Freezing Frenzy

On the plus side, the pot holes that normally take over during the summer, are filled in during the winter.

plasticinsanity : Yeah that's how snow is with winter. First its wonderful then afterwards its straight up freezing lol.

Eniitan : it depends on how heavy it snows,if it,s a light snow I don,t mind it much but if it snows very heavy to the point when it becomes a blizzard it can be pretty bad,and if it snows on top of ice it can make it pretty dangerous for both driving or walking,I had an aunt one year who was living in the country and when she was driving one winter her car hit hit some black ice and slid off the highway into a farmer,s field but luckily she was not hurt

no 8120 : Yeah I know. No one likes it when it snows to the point it becomes a blizzard, that it would become very dangerous to drive and to walk as well. Thank goodness your aunt wasn't hurt from that accident.

I  have never experience snow  I want to though! I want to go to New York for Christmas...You know that movie Home Alone? I'd like to go to a town/city like that for Christmas with a big tree and tons of decorations and old toy stores! I'd love it. But, I have experienced hail and they hurt very bad when they hit you on your head lol. They are basically a rock of ice dropping from the sky at a very fast speed  very scary lol.

jlove92 : Aww sorry to hear you haven't experienced snow before. I wish you can in any way. Yes I do know Home Slone movie. All 3 as a matter of fact, since it was my childhood movie to watch that I grew up with. The Snowman wasn't the only one that I grew up with when I was young. I remember how pretty it looked in the movie seeing New York lit up and being so pretty and also covered in snow as well. Oh the hail are the worse ones its the ones you have to avoid at all costs.

This thread is relevant to my life because we just got a dusting of snow followed by a bunch of heavy rain.

Snow in Michigan is something no one really enjoys unless you have nowhere to go and something to sip on. It's nice hearing the snow hit the ground, watching it pile up, and knowing you are inside the house for the next 48 hours with not a responsibility in the world. Driving can be dangerous, shoveling causes heart attacks, and my kids have fun running around in the snow. They get wiped out and take monster naps after a morning slogging through a few inches of the white stuff.

If I belong somewhere, snow is a nightmare. I drive on a major freeway for 30 minutes and people are maniacs or stupid and can't drive to save their lives. I used to count cars in the ditches on my way to a different job because everyone would end up there. I'm lucky in that I have never had a serious accident due to the weather. I'm a good, conscientious driver and I know what I'm doing when it gets slippery.

I'll take snow while looking at it from inside a house, under some blankets with the dog.

Otherwise I'll pass.

Snow is only good if it is a dusting,is not on the roads and only if  you do not have to travel in it or shovel it.

I personally prefer it when it's snowing. Seeing the snow falling on the ground is why I like winter (and late fall/early spring).
