So I married myself last night. I invited no one and they came. I also had a kid who I named after myself and I. It's lovely really.

So for those who don't know (because I'm almost thirty on a site with mostly teens and preteens so I feel old. Thanks guys) Dennis Rodman was a basketball player in the nineties who always went to ridiculous lengths to get attention. Whether he was dying his hair purple, green, pink, or even rainbow colors, or marrying himself, he always had to have attention, or that's how I see it personally.

But yes, this man married himself and my unfortunate child self saw the event on television (something I'll never forgive MTV for. Lol). And if you're curious, Dennis Rodman made an ugly bride, which is what he showed up at his wedding dressed as. My eyes...


But now, thanks to Koei Tecmo and their game Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires, I too have married myself. :| It isn't my fault though, I was minding my own business when suddenly I came up to me and proposed. I couldn't say no and hurt my feelings line that, ya know? Rodman had no excuse. He was just a weirdo.


But to make this actually make sense, allow me to explain:
I always start off a Warriors game by making custom officers. This time I made four characters before even beginning my first round, two of which were remakes of characters I made in DW5: Empires, and two were new: one was a guy made to look like me (it's no small feat making a guy that looks like me - a pale red headed Irishman - using parts and features of Chinese men), and one girl who I made to look like...I dunno...some woman that I'd really like to meet one day. Don't judge. Lol

So yeah I was playing as the girl I remade based on the one I made in DW5: Empires, and I ran into myself (or the character that looked like me and was named Eirinn Cath, the "Cath" being based on another username I used to use sometimes in MMOs) and recruited me: spoiler alert - I'm awesome. Surprising...said no one. B) And so it's going well and we're kicking butt and conquering China...then I propose and things get weird and I decided to make a thread about it and include run on sentences that make no sense because it's me also I love pudding and this game is fun.

So there you have it. I'm married to myself and have a baby with me. I'll totally post pictures of the kid as soon as I actually get to see him by the way.

Huh.... Y'know, I'm starting to think that customizible characters in videogames wind up reflecting the player even unintentionally. For example, your game managed to act out your signature silly sense of humor almost perfectly, whereas my sense of humor is more self-deprecating, and for some reason, I find it almost infinitely hilarious to beat myself up in games like the Tony Hawk's Underground series. Does that make me Adam Sandler?
