Some people may know about this and some may not, but I'm in the middle of testing out an awesome project for Vizzed that is essentially a group streaming service for things like videos, TV shows, and music, that is essentially like Twitch, where a bunch of members can sit in the same chat room and watch or listen to the same video/song at the same time and talk about. I've tested it out with some users earlier today where we alternated between various videos and songs for hours and the results were overwhelmingly positive, even from users who couldn't enter but heard what it's about.

I plan on opening up a Vizzed channel for a trial run and could use a few mods to help run the channel. The mods would be the ones who watch over the users and are the ones who can add clips, take requests, and set up schedules and events. If you want to be a part of this, send me a PM saying how often you would be on and what kinds of videos and songs you would like to add yourself.

Anyone can apply and ill look at everyone but priority would be given to those who have tested the service.




What is the job?


Mods will be the ones who add videos to the playlist. As long as there's no set schedule, users can request stuff and if its accepted, the mods can slide them into the playlist.
Mods can set up schedules and events. Lets say there's gonna be a Friday Night anime, a mod needs to put together the playlist a couple hours before and needs to be on when the event starts to play it. For schedules, at any given time, a mod can put their own videos and songs as long as they are appropriate as well as from the request roster and they can make a playlist to be played during a time where most mods wouldn't be on, like overnight.

Mods would be in charge of managing the users, they can mute and kick if they need to (kicks aren't for long unless by me), and need to manage user names. All users in the rooms must be using their vizzed name. They don't have to sign up, but need to at least sign in as a guest with their vizzed name. If they don't, they need to be muted until they do.

I'm not in for modding this. I currently cannot dedicate enough time to it to be active enough. I prefer to be a simple spectator coming whenever he has the time for it.

Looks like an interesting format, and I'll be glad to pass by whenever there's a big event like that Friday Night anime you mention. Schedules will be difficult for me due to the timezone difference, but I can still make it if it's during the weekends.

I'm interested in modding this. Although I can't always promise to be available for every possible streaming session.

But I could do stuff like an anime night, some video game music jam sessions, or something like that.

I don't think it would be a good idea to apply to this. I have a lot of stuff going on in my life right now and with all the treatments that I have coming up I never know what tomorrow might bring. 

I like the idea though and I'll make sure to stop by at any major events that might interest me.

I don't like the thought of having planned an event or something and then it turns out I have a sudden doctors appointment. Basically all of my waking time is spent in the hospital, talking to doctors on the phone, planning and studying so right now I have way to much going on. Being in the chat is just something I am while taking care of all the other stuff.

I'm that kind of person who likes to go all in on projects I sign up for. :3

We have a couple ideas for how this is going to work, and vanelan put up a few suggestions as well, however..... there's a chance that every now and then we could do FULL MOVIES.

We're gonna test movies tomorrow afternoon. If it doesn't work, then we won't be able to play it, but if it does work, we can watch the whole movie and we would be able to watch movies in the future as well.

Right now, we're gonna do a vote for which movie we want to test, here's a lit of movies that are avaiable, and of the ones that have the most votes, I'll pick the one I like the most, and the test will start at 3PM Server time.

So...how is streaming a full movie going to work? Do you have digital copies or something? Anyhoo, my vote is for The LEGO Movie.

Zander, keep me off of this. I'm certainly not up to watch a full movie, even less watch it in a language I don't use outside the internet.

I'll check the progress of this idea by myself, no need to summon me everytime. I'm only up for short videos and only if I'm into its theme.

EX Palen : You wouldn't have to see the full thing duh, it's just tests to see if they work and to see if all the browers and stuff run them, and if it does work, movies would be added when the thing launches which wouldnt be for another week. There are going to be random tests all through out the week if you want to stop by for those and heck out a video or a song.

I vote The Incredibles. It's one of my favorite Pixar movies.

Can I abstain from voting? I know like none of these. If I had to vote, I'd bandwagon and go with the Lego movie

Well this is a bit late but if you need more mods I'd be willing to help out from time to time. You've already seen a few examples of videos I've added (though obviously I'll keep it on the PG side). If you already have enough that's great, just thought I'd offer.

Anyway out of those I'd probably second user on The Incredibles or The Lego Movie, I also wouldn't mind The Martian though I haven't seen it myself, I've heard a lot of good things about it.
