So guys what was your first final fantasy game that you played from a very young age? Mine would be final fantasy 7 or 10 I think I can't remember too much as it is a little blurry for me. But I do know either those where my first. Back in the day I rinsed the games as it shown I really enjoyed playing them. But with final fantasy 10 I completed the game and vowed to never complete it again because...of...the..feels...yes the feels part at the end. I don't play much final fantasy games nowadays but I do when I have a free time to remind me to never forget the awesomeness of a final fantasy game.

Eniitan : What was my first final fantasy game as a gamer, well my first final fantasy game as a gamer was Final Fantasy 13. I was 18 when I first got into Final Fantasy and only decided to give it a try due to the box art (loved the box art of Final Fantasy 13 Lightning looked amazing and bad ass) but sadly I was cheated by gamestop because Final Fantasy 13 is a 3 disc game (the game stretches over the course of 3 discs) and sadly I only had one of those 3 discs I was suppose to get for the game which was the first disc which only covered up to chapter 5 so I never got to see how the game ended but I will say the graphics and animations are simply beautiful and the locations in Final Fantasy are simply breath taking, great visuals , and a very interactive world. After I got Final Fantasy 13 (and felt cheated) I went to the actual store (Target) and got Final Fantasy 13-2 because I thought it would be the second part for Final Fantasy 13 (I didn't know all the Final Fantasy's are a different story altogether), but I enjoyed Final Fantasy 13-2 and felt it was even better than FF13 and took the best mechanics and core features from FF13 and incorporated them into the new FF13-2 while adding some great new features.

My first Final Fantasy game was the first one on the Nintendo.  I still remember watching my dad play it, and he was so into those types of games that he would physically draw and map out every single dungeon, where each treasure was, what the treasure was, what boss was at the end, what it's weakness was, what was in the towns like magic and items and who you had to talk with to progress the story.  No internet to print out maps like we can today, or read the walk through.  Watching him play those games really got me into gaming and especially the Final Fantasy series.  I have played them all except the online ones and the newest one.  I have played them all up to Final Fantasy thirteen

lordbelial669 : I remember doing stuff like that myself as a kid. No internet to help. You had to investigate a dungeon and quite often die in it a few times before you had it all figured out in order to beat it properly. Couldn't just walk in with a walkthrough in hand and know exactly where to go and how to beat every monster in the dungeon. I miss those days.

FF1 was my first as well. I had an NES growing up so I was able to play the early ones as soon as they came to North America.

I've played basically all of them from 1-7 but after 7 I stopped playing. I didn't like any of the ones after that enough to bother playing them.

My first Final Fantasy game was Final Fantasy III for the DS. I'd heard so many amazing things about the series before I played it, and I wasn't dissapointed. Of course, I've played far better games in the series since then, but I still enjoy playing III every once in awhile.

If we're talking past childhood, my first FF was IV on the DS. That's what really got me into the series. I had played a little bit of VIII when I was like 6 or 7, but I had no idea what I was doing. IV's what really got me into the series though. After IV, I actually played VIII now as a 15 year old, and I loved it. Since then, I've played every FF from start to finish except III, XI, and XIV.

The first FF game I ever played was Final Fantasy XII. I borrowed it from my friend back in 2010. I was pretty bad at it at the time because I was used to playing games that took virtually no brains to play such as Need for Speed: Carbon, Guitar Hero and the like. It wasn't until a few years later that I started to mature as a gamer and get into strategy gaming like Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem, the latter I'm still bad at to this day. The first FF game I ever actually owned and beat was Final Fantasy X when my brother found it in a swap shop for less than $5. While some argue that it's far from the best, and I am somewhat compelled to agree, it was an absolutely fantastic story and a great primer for the other titles in the series that use far more fast paced game play. I am a generally unemotional person, but toward the end of the game, for only a moment, I was actually saddened. The characters had so much personality and individuality that they almost seemed like people.

Mine was Final Fantasy 6 (FF3 in the States.) This is back when Nintendo and Square Soft (Now Square Enix) got along. I think their first stumble was FF8,I think the read most kind of dislike it because it was too different. FF9 was great and was in a way,the end of the traditional FF series. FF10 was okay but kind of different. FF10-2 sucked,it was too campy and was a bit like the Charlie's Angels of the FF universe. That was I stopped caring for the series.

I would have replied sooner but I didn't want to post too much yesterday for some reason.

Celestial Knight : That's nice there wasn't much love for that game though. Only for the soundtracks and the gameplay. That's the only thing I liked about final fantasy 13. And when the second part came out I didn't like the game at all...it felt so wrong for me. The only thing I liked about was noel that looked like tidus. '-'

lordbelial669 : That's really cool to watch your dad play the game and stuff so that you can learn. Yeah back in those days you have to do that lol. I did the same when I was younger I always watched my brother play games so that I would gain an understanding of what to do and how to play the game. Once I knew what I had to do I asked and he would let me play.

geeogree : yep that's pretty much true and I can agree with you on that. @.@

gamerforlifeforever2 : Final fantasy 3 was a good game in its own way. That ones I didn't play as much though.

Juliaisme1233: Oh so that was your first? I remember that one was pretty random to me as well. Yeah final fantasy 7 was the one that most people loved to play and to replay it again. lol. Not all of us were able to complete all final fantasy games around young age so that is fine. We would come back later to play it then to complete it at a reasonable older age.

m0ssb3rg935 : Oh....final fantasy 12. Now I did like the game when I first started it. Then I realized that the story mode didn't make sense at all. I only played for the gameplay and that was it. I played it on my ps2. The music was ok but the only thing I liked about it was the gameplay and that was it. '-'

Oldschool777 : That was another amazing game to play. Final fantasy 8 wasn't that bad the only thing that made me not to play the game was too many options upon more to get to places in the menu place and that really confused the heck out of me. I loved final  fantasy no doubt. I would have to agree with the part two the only thing I liked about it was the storyline and the music the rest was crappy.. '-'

I don't remember which one it was because it was so long ago but it was for the PSX and I hated it because it was so hard.

My first Final Fantasy game was Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest. I heard it was the best to start with, and I beat it in a few days. My first real one was Final Fantasy IV, which still sits as my favorite Final Fantasy game ever.

It must have been Final Fantasy VI, when I first got my Super Nintendo in mid 1995. At that time I was already in awe with RPGs, having plyaing the Shining Force and Phantasy Stars of the Sega Genesis. I was fairly impressed with the soundtrack, although the graphics were sometimes lagging behind Phantasy Star IV.

I would have to say Final Fantasy 13. That's the game that made me try out all the others. I guess I was more late than trying out a final fantasy game than others . :3

janus : Nice . I think that was most people first play of playing a final fantasy game. As for phantasy star I didn't like much f that game sadly. '-'

Bintsy : Nice very nice because the game is great the only thing I didn't like was the storyline.

My first and only one I've played is the very first Final Fantasy. I was kind of young, but I remember how annoyingly tedious it was to grind through everything. Maybe it was just inexperience; I should try it again.
