Yes, Sega CD is working properly at last! However, why is the game ALWAYS downloading the rom even though I have had it for some time with files saved? This is annoying.

skyboy3004 :    I'm not entirely sure as mine is a different type but um the normal features of those buttons require you to press Fn and the F whatever buttons. So the plugin simply requires say F2 to savestate or F6 I think for screen shot.

faing : Netplay could potentially be made a little better. Game files may also be faster to download with the Game Accelerator.

Davideo7 : I'm not sure if it's just Eniitan and I that are having issues; however, neither one of us can seem to get Sega Saturn games to load up in any terms? Know you had stated that all CD systems are supposed to work now so I just found that strange that both of us are having issues still?

(Although my normal computer broke down, and am resorting to an older one so maybe it's just my hardware? Idk) I know that I'm testing the Saturn games and wanted to make sure I could do as much as possible with this remaining month and figured I'd bring this issue up. It might just be us 2 that have the issues; but, still thought it was a point I should put to your attention.

faing : Handheld netplay just isn't possible at the moment. Maybe someday when I have a huge budget. The Game Accelerator is only going to make the download speed faster, it's not going to actually make the games run faster. It's possible that the game downloads will be a lot faster after all of my work is done.


EX Palen : If I had the budget I would get a netplay server that was located in Europe but I just don't have the budget for that at the moment. If you wanted, you could always host netplay sessions from your own computer. That would not only make it incredibly fast for you but it'd also make it fast for whoever joined you since the connection doesn't have as far to go.

When you use your own computer as the netplay server, it decreases the lag and here's why.

Here's how far a connection has to go when using a server that you're not hosting:
Player A --- Netplay Server --- Player B

Here's how far a connection has to go when hosting your own server:
Player A --- Player B

As you can see, it has a more direct connection and therefore reduces the lag by quite a bit.

Davideo7 : From what she told me on her side and what I've experienced. We both try to load up any Saturn games and they load the emulator up properly; however, it never pops up with the normal "Sega Saturn" or "SEGA" logo. It just stays at a black screen after loading the plugin for the game up.

Well, considering the percentages of European users and American users, it's not like we need that server urgently. But now that you've said that, I'll have to test out hosting my own server for upcoming netplay competitions, matches or possibly streams. 

It's great that the CD-based systems were transferred over to the new server. I just notice a strange bug though. Out of all of the cd systems in the rgr, it's just with psx and pc-fx. tthe 3rd screenshot isn't displaying on the game pages for those 2.

After these I reinstall the new version but the probem is not fixed, Due to frustration I give up trying to avail your ps games then proceed playing my old pokemon gba. games but a pop up message appear that I haven't installed the latest rgr plug in.

Davideo7 : I forget the exact wording, but it kept saying something like Error: Failed to download ROM file or something like that. I tried it again, and now it's redownloading the whole game again, even though I downloaded it already before a long time ago. I don't understand what's going on.

EDIT: It's finally working again. Too bad it took so long to load, I was hoping to play a little bit of it before going to bed.

I was able to accomplish quite a bit today! (well technically yesterday)


Chat Rooms Back Up
The Chat Rooms are back up which also includes the netplay lobby. Unfortunately I was unable to transfer the files from the old server to the new server for some reason. I invested a few hours into this with no luck. This basically means that all of the chat room settings have been reset and all user chat room stats have been reset. The accumulated chat room minutes on your profile are still the same.

The staff are in the process of trying to get the chat room back to how it was. We'll be trying to adjust the settings to match the old settings over the next few days and we'll also be adding back some of the old rooms. The chat room may run better now and be more stable.


Vizzed Minecraft Server Back Up
The Vizzed Minecraft Server is up and running again. Nothing was lost and the server should definitely be faster and more stable (of course your own computer's performance ultimately determines how well it runs).

File downloads for non-CD games and some CD games should be faster over the next few days. I'm not sure whether this will be a permanent change or not but most likely these speeds will only be temporary (and eventually exclusive to staff members and users with the download accelerator).

I've still got a few more things to take care of but I'll be taking care of those things later this week. Those additional things include adding and removing netplay servers, fixing various things that need to be fixed due to the transfer and adjusting how and where the files are retrieved.

Davideo7 : Sonic 3D Blast, Sekai no Shasou Kara 1 Swiss-hen - Alps Tozantetsudou no Tabi, Sengoku Blade, basically almost any game I would try to get to work had that same issue as noted above. I'm not sure as new updates come along, if they'll start working again possibly? I might try again today to see if it'll work and could just be the computer I'm forced to use I really don't know. (though also like before, wouldn't explain Eniitan's issues with some games on Saturn)
