Davideo7 : Personally, I think the PSP 2 stinks, since you can't run UMDs on it, meaning no Birth By Sleep, Dissidia, etc. And I really wanna play NES games on my PSP, but like I said, takes forever.

Yeah, although i got to admit that this site is still running smooth for a site with a lot of content in it...

I also have a problem with the fact that you can´t write on a post if you were the last guy to write in it... a lot of times i forgot something to say or i wanna say something completely diffrent(which actually happened in ths thread) but i can´t untill someone writes something and by then i have forgot what i wanted to say...

Not sure if it's been brought up before --

A way to mute the sound in a game, I know the feature to mute a certain application (in this case your browser) is integrated into Windows Vista/Windows 7, but at the moment I am stuck on an XP computer, and I don't like the music in games because it interferes with music I may have on or voice chat on Skype. So if you can put a way to mute in-game music for games that don't already have that option in, that would be helpful for us XP users.

You do not have to go with my idea, but I do have a thought:

I like the way you type it in and you get games that have the same wording that you typed. I would say that when you type something in, it would just be hyperlinks, but if you drag your mouse on the hyperlink, it gives you the picture, the details, and what console its on to see if that is what you are looking for. This may not be a good idea, but I am just throwing out ideas of what may give you a clue.

Just a few things on my end. The first is in response to the post from rka0917. Even though you can edit your post if you are the last one to post something, I ran into a different thing that isn't a big deal. A few times on a thread, I made the last post and a while later, I have another thought that relates to the thread, but does not relate to my previous post. I have edited my previous post, and from what I saw, got no credit as far as number of posts, viz, or exp. Since the number of posts and EXP isn't a requirement for anything except for being eligible for a higher title, it isn't a big deal. But I love that little touch on this site and would kind of like to get credit when I happen to come up with a second separate thought before someone responds to my previous one. If I am wrong about editing a post not doing anything, I apologize.

Next, is there a way to make it to where you can compete for high scores using the RGR plugin? From what I could see on the games I played, I click on the 'compete for high score' link, and it has to be done on the Java Plugin. I prefer to stick with the RGR plugin and not download something else. I have looked at a lot of high score tables and saw I have either beaten quite a few or at least came in 2nd or 3rd. Sometimes I like to compete, but like I said, don't want to download something else to do it.

I would really like if the vizzed rgr plugin worked on mac os since i will get a mac computer in the future...and i don´t want to change to windows...and i also wonder if you can review games on like ps3 or xbox 360 or any other system in a special section like every other review and that you still can rate and earn Viz and all that...

Here's some ideas:

- Add tags to search (which I talked to you about)
- Have a stat showing how many people are playing a certain game on the search page maybe (not that important but would be interesting stat)
- Make the game results in search have a hover effect when you go over it. I'm talking about the green border around the game result, have it turn a color like purple, orange, yellow or red.
- Maybe show how many reviews and threads a game has in search as well

And the obvious...

- Mac Support
- Online Multiplayer Gameplay

Davideo7 : I am pretty new here so I am still learning but I do have one minor addition that I would like to see. I will try to explain it so you can understand it. On the main search bar there is a random button that I like to use to find games that look interesting. And it works fine and all, but when I get matched with a game that doesn't interest me I am forced  to go back to the main RGR page to hit the random button again. For what ever reason there is a separate search section when you are viewing a games specific page. Essentially, what I am asking is for the more advanced search bar to be available on the game pages, specificly the random button. It is not too big of an issue but just one of the things I have noticed. Other than that , this is quickly become my favourite site, keep up the good work Davideo and the rest of the staff

This is something I noticed a bit after my last post because it took me a while to start playing NES games. Is there a way to configure the controls on the NES games to customize them? When I tried to customize the keys on NES games, most of the keys I tried to make functional for actions made a pop-up telling me that key is reserved for another function, yet from what I see, the keys I try to set don't really do anything. Particularly, I want to make the directional pad I, J, K, L instead of the arrow keys. I also want to change the A and B buttons (X and Z) to D and F. This makes it easier on my wrists so they don't hurt when I play for a long time. Is there an unavoidable reason why I can't change to those key settings?

After playing games here for awhile, here are a few suggestions that I think would be better in order of importance, although admittedly I know next to nothing about the programming and other technical details behinds running them here.

1) Link interactivity.  Obviously this is mostly geared toward GB/GBA, although other systems with link features (such as N64) would also fall under this.  Whether it could be done between multiple people, if it could only be done with one person via multiple saves, or even both, this would add a ton to quite a few games, especially the RPGs big on collections (i.e. the millions of Pokemon titles, Dragon Quest Monsters Series, and Robopon just to name a few) and any games with multiplayer.  Once again I know almost zip on how these things work, but I do know that emulators exist with online play or the ability to link up on the same computer, such as DualGB, so it's probably possible to do here. This also leads to my next suggestion...

2) Netplay.  Playing with others on Vizzed would be awesome beyond words and could work to help with linking.  It would also open up the potential to have tournaments for various games on here (Say it with me:  Smash Bros 64 Vizzed Tournament!).  The only reason why I didn't put this first is because I'm not sure if this would require too much bandwidth to be feasible.  Even so, it's still a feature that could add a great deal to this site.

3) Save State upload.  I skimmed through this thread and saw someone else mention this idea.  Being able to upload save states for others to download here would be a pretty cool feature.

4) Cheats/save states. This might be more based on me not fully understanding the different plug ins and all, and if that's the case please disregard the next few sentences.  But especially with the vizzed plugin, cheat codes and multiple save states would be nice.

5) English Translations.  For the most part, this site does a great job of providing English patches for foreign games and obviously there is only so much that can be done by the site itself, as some games just don't have English translations out there.

6) Guides/Manuals.  Having the original manuals for games would be cool, as would guides or links to guides/videos/etc.  With the youtube channel going up a GFAQs existing there might not be a huge demand for this, but with some of the more obscure games it would be awfully helpful.

7) Achievement/Trophy system.  Again, I'm stealing this idea from someone else on this thread.  Still, having some kind of achievement system for each game would be cool.  Perhaps the achievements could first be voted on by the Vizzed community.  Even something as relatively basic as a checklist of what game you're currently playing, beaten, 100%'d a la what the backloggery does would be neat.

8) Other Systems (aka dreamcast/PS1)  Of course, I realize that size constrains put a hamper on this issue, especially with the massive size of PS1 games.  I don't know how dreamcast games compare, but I'm sure they're probably bigger.  Still, it's a nice pipe dream to include some more retro systems to the mix.

I hope you can get some good ideas from my massive ramblings.  For the most part, this place is already fantastic and nothing I've said are really problems with the site, just ways to improve.  Keep up the great work with this place, it's already great and I'm sure it will only get better!

Keep up the great work with this place, it's already great and I'm sure it will only get better!

zara6615 : Remember David's first post. He wants suggestions other than adding more games. That's always a given and games are added when possible. As for the wii emulator, I'll update ya on that one, assuming that because you appear relatively new, you haven't read those threads yet. Nintendo 64 games are currently the highest data size emulator that can be supported on the site. All the systems (wii included) that run disc games simply have way too much data to put on. If he put it on the site, and more than say 50 people were playing them at the same time, so much data would be running through the site that it would be pretty much impossible for everyone to play on this site without having 10 minute lags. These numbers, of course, are not accurate. The figures I use are simply used to explain what would happen. So if a small amount of people playing those emulators at once would cause so much complications for everyone, imagine over 1000 people trying to play at once. The site just doesn't have the capacity to stream that much information at once.
