As a few others have said, it really depends on who you're with and where you're at (time also applies here). Just randomly shouting out non-sense in a place like a grocery store is definitely irritating to those around you. But if you're out having fun with a group of friends in a place like a bowling alley that's perfectly fine, it's a good place to be excited. If you're just at home and having a conversation with friends or family, it depends on their preference and the situation. Celebrating a birthday or playing games together are an acceptable time to turn up the volume. However if you're simply having a discussion about a subject of interest or about goings on, it's best to keep a lower voice so as to avoid being rude as well as so everyone else can hear.

I tend to find loud people sort of annoying. It really depends on how loud they are. I have an extremely loud step-brother who yells in the car all the time. You don't have to not talk at all, just try your very best to quiet down a bit when needed and it's fine. The good thing about being loud is that your friends can hear you in large crowds.

I think some people are. I mean, if they are upset, then they can yell. But, if they are yelling and mess for no reason, then they can be pretty freaking annoying.

I am a very quiet and reserved person most of the time. I'm shy and don't usually make the first move to speak. My family is loud on my dad's side, and my mom's side is more quiet. I do not think loud people are annoying. If it is vulgarly loud (i.e. cursing and acting rude) I don't usually like it. But, other than that, being loud is just a part of yourself. It is a characteristic, and it identifies who you are. There are people in many different shapes and sizes, this is just another one of those examples. I have a lot of "loud" friends. They are very fun to be around, and we are usually jokers. That is the only time when I get very loud. It brings out the outgoing side of me, and makes me feel more alive. I guess louder people are livelier? I don't know. I know it can be fun though.

Thank you everyone! I appreciate this guys. I'm not worried about being "too" loud any more.
