Bitcoin isn't going to work at all in my opinion. It is a pretty smart idea, have a currency where you don't have to even have cards or anything, it's all just online. I mean, it is pretty genius, and if everyone started using it, then I am pretty sure it would be a pretty great thing to use for all of your money needs. But sadly, this isn't the case. There is one huge flaw with this; a central bank.
What does this mean? Well, not one person or group of people is controlling it. This seems like it would be pretty great, no one making profit off of all of these money transactions correct? Well, that part is correct. People are glad that they have eliminated that middle man who puts transactions with your money through which really could make things faster and even a tiny bit cheaper. However, I am pretty sure it would be better to have this central bank to help keep everything together. Why? The answer is hackers. Without someone watching over everything, you don't have much there to make sure that all the money is safe. Hackers would have a very easy time getting in and taking your money, which is currently the main problem with doing all of this bit coin stuff. With this scare still out there and strong, I don't feel like most people are feeling safe enough to invest all of their money into it.
I just don't see all of this bit coin stuff working out, I see it all just being a big flop. I will keep my paper cash until the world ends to buy things. Bit coins are just an idea which is in reality, too good to be true.
tRIUNE : But way back a long time ago, bartering was the way of "currency", and was the only way. Then we got all of these new ones, if we go into another state of where everything happens based on one "currency" then the same thing could happen, couldn't it? But I see your point there and agree with you.
