MrHappy1344 :

Both the language and the alphabet is just gibberish to me. Well, your Russian is probably better than my French. I only know a few words. Half of them nasty ones.

^^^  haha- that's about the extent of my French, too, Brigand.  It doesn't keep me from going up to Quebec when I can, but I do feel a little embarrassed to expect everyone to speak English for me. It's only polite to learn some of the important phrases.

My Spanish, however, is fair enough to get through medical discussions with patients.  That's got to be one of the most scary things- to be in a country to which your tongue is foreign and need to have medical services.

While I mainly speak English, I can also speak a bit of Spanish as well. I would also like to learn French and Japanese if possible. I think French will be the easier of the two mainly because a lot of the words are very similar in sound to words in Spanish.

Japanese on the other hand will take some time to master, but I'd be willing to put forth the effort into doing it. I have no doubt that it is perhaps one of the hardest languages to learn, but I would like to at least attempt it before anything else.

Dfsg :

Even though my native language is one that only five or so million speak, I have the attitude that if you cant speak English then F off!  Even my grandfather who only went to school for five years in the 20`s knew enough to get by watchin television to travel by himself as an old man so not knowing any is no excuse. As in:

"Une glace, s`il vous plais?" Thanks for the icecream. You speak english now, you french... Haha!

I'm kind of self taught when it comes to languages in my area. It's a small town, with poor education, and NO one knows anything but spanish or english and it's not that clear for either... kind of more American rather then English if you catch my Drift. I was raised in North Carolina in the swamps though, didn't gain the accent, but I can talk like that at free will. Helps when your singing Country music. Well not required or anything but fun. So I guess I can Speak English, I'm better then most in my town because I found outside sources and taught myself, and southern terms for the most part, though I'm a bit rusty. I'm currently teaching myself Japanese in the same ways, although I do have CD's that teach me, . It's probably the worst way to learn the language, but no one is going to teach me personally around where I live, so I have to work hard and figure it out myself. So... 1, and a half...

Oh wait! I used to speak Dino, you know Star Fox Adventures Dino, and I had a bit of lessons in Hylian, Ocarina of time, and I think anybody who's played Pikmin, can speak Pikmin. Ah, but those aren't languages and my memory is to dull to bring those back. Most of what I remember is M=M and "ho ho ho"..... cause that never gets out of your head.

I plan on learning Proper English (British English) and finishing Japanese, but I think the most important language of all is body language. That's a universal thing. ALL of us use it, even though it's subconscious its relatively the same everywhere. That's how me and my animals speak! oh... I speak cat as well... sort of. I'm not Doctor Dolittle or anything.

Totts : I always wanted to learn Japanese, it seems an interesting language. Anyway, besides English, I can speak French and Arabic. I'm good in all three of my languages (Inculding English). Despite being a Lebanese, I speak English very fluently .

I 'speak' ASL, which is a sign language. It is very handy when you are in line at a noisy restaurant and need to ask what your seated cohorts what they want to eat. Actually sign language is a lot of fun, I'd recommend it to anyone.
