GlazedKitten :  I'm sorry to hear about your hamster. Had you had it a long time?

How would you feel about getting another one?  I know that if my Dorito (a cat) ever died, I'd be distraught.  A new furry companion would help, though of course the late pet can't be replaced.

PokePal435 :  My dad was in the military so we moved around a lot.  I remember the first time I ever had 'friends', we moved away from them and I was distraught. I think I cried for a week.  However, we also moved across the country, and my parents didn't let us use cell phones are the Internet.

Can you keep ahold of them through texting or facebook?

Also, try getting closer to your church friends.  That might help fill the emptiness you're feeling.  I've actually NEVER done good in larger groups, so at least there's that!

(Have you considered discussing this with your parents, by letting them know how important your friends are to you?  They might have a solution for your, or be able to help you keep in touch with your old friends, if you let them know how much it means to you.)

I don't know where to start actually. By the fact that I technically have a job but I'm a replacement until end of December - beginning of January and I'll see if I join the team afterwards, which means maybe I should find something else (hopefully) and quit that "job"? Or the one that clearly express I wanna move to my home sweet home because I want to undertake my other plans I can't at the moment and my animals are driving me crazy? I'm not saying I hate animals, don't get me wrong. Mines are just way too troublesome that it's a miracle I'm not falling into insanity or I'm in a corner of a room, exactly like L from Death Note

GlazedKitten :
Three cats, one female and two males (her sons). And a female dog. My dog is really old and starting to pee almost everywhere without even bothering to ask me, nor my parents, to go outside for this. As for my cats, my female cat is nice but she's harassed by one of her sons sometimes. The other son keep harassing his brother for unknown reasons. Even today, it has been really intense.

Oh, I'm going to keep it. It's better than nothing, I won't earn lot of cash but it's something I can do and I love doing. But my parents want me to move to the nearest big city so I can live on my own and find something better. They keep telling me about my retirement, my future, things I'm aware of. But it's a big leap through time. There's a time for every single thing. I can try to talk with them but, when it's about my career and the job, the final result is always the same. I'm happy there's still a part of sanity and will within my mind and my body.

Recently I've started feeling the pressure of planning for my future. My high school has been having us take those tests to suggest what careers would fit us, start researching colleges I want to go to, try to find what major I'll have, that sort of thing. Most of my friends already know what they want to do, whether it's aerospace engineer, a computer programmer, something mathematical, etc. Problem is that I have absolutely no idea what I want to do in life. Nearly every single career suggested to me by that test was between 40-60% compatibility, which didn't exactly help. In fact, it just added more options for me to consider as it suggested like 10-15 careers.
I talked to my mom about this and she came up with a few questions the next day to try to help out ( "do I want to have a job requiring social skills, or something where you work by yourself?" or "Do you want a job requiring physical effort, or where you sit all day?") and I answered neutral to every single question. I enjoy social interaction with others, but I also enjoy being left to my own devices. I enjoy physical activity, yet at the same time I enjoy sitting around writing programs for a class I take all day. I was always taught to be "well-rounded" since I was a kid, and now I can't choose what I like. I made a post awhile ago about how I can't pick anything to do as I like to do so much, and someone suggested to me that I focus really hard on a few things and move on to the other activities later. Well, I can't do that with a job. It's not like I plan on finding a new job every few months for the rest of my life.
So that's my problem. Sorry for the rant but it has been on my mind for the past week. I just can't decide on which path of life to pursue for my future.

A worried sophomore,

GlazedKitten : That was another question my mom asked me. I do fairly well in all my classes, I'm pretty athletic yet I am also enjoying a programming class at my school, and play an instrument in our band. I enjoy animals, and even volunteer at a dog sanctuary nearby (though I can't see myself working with them 24/7)...other than that I guess I enjoy video games and make myself desserts occasionally on weekends. Imagine a perfectly average high schooler. To be honest, I don't really dislike much, and because I enjoy so much I tend to put in the effort and do well in a lot of stuff.

Now that I read this, I realize it sounds great, because who wouldn't like to enjoy everything, right? What makes things difficult is that none of these things stand out from the rest.

I hate living here in this country, I have a 3 years student Visa so I have to stay here. I don't like the idea that they decided to let me study  overseas. I have a Bachelor's Degree in my home country, but here I just nothing but a mere student. Still the hardest part is I need to work really hard so I can pay my tuition fees which cost millions if converted in my home country. Also, I hate living here at my Uncle's house. . . . . . . . . . . .  all he say "you need to pay me for the down payment I pay so you can study here, you need to get a sponsorship to gain a permanent residence here so you can pay me after that". I thought life would be easy here, but NO. I'm Professional in my home country, but here I just a fish cleaner. I had to leave my girlfriend, friends, and my grandmother for the sake of WHAT? A mere diploma??? A chance to live here??? I have been wasting my days here in this country, I should say No in the first place before, but what done is done......

Well, the only situation I'm having in real life for me is that I have been having money issues. The issue is that I have to pay bills and have to pay for food, but it seems I ain't allowed to spend money on myself because even know I'm 21, my Mother keeps getting onto me because I spend too much money, even if I haven't even spent any money on me, which gets on my nerves. Other than that, that's mostly it.

IgorBird122 :  I'm sure your mother doesn't have that opinion for no reason.  Have you had problems with money management in the past?  If so, are you certain you're over the issue?  Maybe you're still spending too much money (or spending it unwisely), and you just aren't aware of it?  I know some people that are terrible with money and honestly think they're great with it.  They also seem to think they never spend on themselves, and yet they do (often with self-justifications).  I know sometimes it's hard NOT to spend on yourself, but some things are just more important. Sometimes you have to sacrifice in order to get ahead.  Maybe you can do something on the side that doesn't take a lot of time and can earn you more money (like tutoring for a subject you're strong in)?

gamerforlifeforever2 :  Then why post here?  That's pretty spammy.

Singelli : Well, I get like $500 every 2 weeks, but all that money goes to gas (for my car), food, bills (part of the electric and pay for the internet and cable), and with that factor, $200-$250 of my money is gone each week, so if you add that factor, I go down to around $100 by the time I get payed again. I know I bust my behind at my job for my money, but not spending that money, that's a different story.

Well, I had this issue for the past few months, but never been resolved just yet.

IgorBird122 : Having $100 every two weeks isn't so bad!  Everything else is paid for (all the necessities, I mean).

If you struggle with money management, why not try giving yourself an 'allowance'.  Tell yourself, perhaps, that you will spend only $20 on something you really want or like, then put the rest in savings. Even though it might not seem like a lot, it'd add up.  Then, you're money wouldn't be completely disappearing, you'd still be spending some on yourself, and you can slowly build that resistance to impulsive spending.

Well, I have a younger sister who is absolutely horrible. She goes around irritating everyone(me especially) for absolutely no reason, and she lies ALL the time. The rare times where I can have a civilised conversation with her, she just lies about every other thing!

Also, my parents split up a few years back, and now my dad is moving to North Dakota for work, and money is pretty tight, so there are just problems around every corner.
