Oh man every old skool parent has this crap on their kids haha. I can give a rat's ass about what my parents think of who I am with personally and always have since I was what 16? The thing is my dad always told me he'd rather me date only Asians. I am Chinese but to hell with that crap because he was a hypocrite by saying "As long as she cares about me and love me, it doesn't matter if she is dirt poor or rich or has 1 arm." which pretty much means anyone who is good to me is fair deal. I took his second advice closer to the heart and I will date whomever I want no matter the race/ethnicity as long as I find her attractive. My mom personally didn't say much but I knew she'd like me with an Asian girl too and no further than a white girl lmao. They pretty much understood I am a new generation and things do not work out the same so now they don't care anymore. They became more liberal as the years went on by and when I told them I am moving in with my gf and some roommates, they didn't object. They didn't care what race she was, they only cared if I can support myself and if she is good to me. It just so turns out that she is Asian but I know my parents would be fine with anyone now. My sister dates a Jewish dude and my other sister dates a darkass skin Asian dude. My folks don't care and I commend them for that. That should be the way it is for everyone. It is 2014, stop having segregated proms in the south, stop judging people based on where they are from, and geez stop denying/hating for religious and political reasons. My girlfriend can be half black and half inuit and worship squirrels. If she makes me happy and she is attractive then who gives a damn if she supports Hilary Clinton and like anime and I don't?

Love, I would hope, should be colorblind.

I grew up in an area that was dominantly one race and thus, very racist. But I hope I've learned to love and respect all kinds of people.

Saying my mother used to date black men, she really wouldn't care, and she has told me face to face that she wouldn't mind as long as they treat me like a princess. Love doesn't matter on the race, we're all the same underneath the skin. As long as someone is going to treat you with respect and prove to you that they care, that's all that should matter.

My mother is very open minded and supportive and I can honestly say that no matter what the ethnicity of the person I'm (or my siblings are) dating may be, she wouldn't care as long as they're a good person.

My dad on the other hand is a racist dirt bag. I put no stock in his opinions and don't care what he thinks. Honestly, he flew off the handle because my sister's boyfriend is shorter than she is but always say's "At least he's white." He would probably disown any of us if he found out we were dating someone of another culture or ethnicity. 

I'm pretty sure my parents wouldn't care. They'd be more concerned about personality or if they were a different religion.

Honestly speaking, My Mother would simply react more strongly that someone had found me attractive and that i was either drugging them to keep them from escaping or that i am paying this person to go out with me, Basically it is just good banter and we both have a joke about it. 

Regarding the question in full though, I have dated various girls from various ethnic backgrounds, Like most people have probably stated parents, unless incredibly controlling, Would rather just like to see you happy and to make sure they were not a complete leech. I feel that religion should not play a factor either but to some families it does, but hey that is just my opinion. 

After all love works in mysterious ways and if you do fall in love with someone and it is a mutual feeling, Who are your parents to judge person based on ethnicity , Religion or anything really for that matter..Unless they really are eccentric and your parents fear for your safety i suppose

Well, I married an asian woman (half-Asian, half-Caucasian) and my parents haven't had any problem with it (as far as I know ).

I'll answer the question in regards to my kids instead. I don't know if I would be happy if my daughters dated/married non-white guys. I think it would depend a LOT on the guy though. I would want to meet him and his family before making any final judgment though. While I have some preconceived ideas about different races and cultures I would give people the change to change my mind.

My mother doesn't care about me dating anyone outside of my race. Love is genderless and has no color so as long as I'm happy and the guy is ok then she won't complain. In this day and age marrying and dating someone outside of your race is pretty common.

I'm not honestly sure. I'm fairly certain they wouldn't care, though.

My mother has always been rather supportive of my pursuits in love. She didn't bat an eye when I traveled across the country to see a girl, and I don't think she'd particularly care if I was suddenly interested in a black or asian woman.

My parents really don't care what skin colour i bring in, just so long as they aren't poorly influencing me. They never do because they never can, so I'm pretty much cool. That relaxed policy has allowed me to pursue relations with many and has made me a better person overall.

Honestly, my parents really don't care at this point. I am a 20 year old guy, going on 21. I've dated a black girl, an Asian girl, a mixed girl,and of course white girls. I think at this point my parents would be happy to see me dating, because they have been hinting lately that maybe I haven't been too happy lately since I haven't been in a relationship in awhile, and when I am in one, something always happens in the first few weeks. :'( 

I don't think my parents would really care. They pretty much just say go with whoever as long as I think it's the best choice.

If my own father found out that I was dating a girl that I liked, he'd probably exempt me from going outside ever again. I hate to admit it, but I am a bit socially-inept. I am always literal, a bit choleric, and also ignorant. I tend to make mistakes and when people laugh, I kind of turn the tables on them (by words, of course). All I'm trying to say here is that my father is a bit too scared to let me go outside alone with my date.

My parent doesn't have an issue with me dating, I mean only if the person I was dating was
a bad influence or something along the lines of that.
Other than that they're real easy going and I'm glad to have a parent like that
(I live with my mother only) So I'm sorry to those that have real strict parents
but you know they only do it for a reason, a good reason and they love you.

My parents were both pretty laid back in this area. They would have asked me a lot of questions about her and her parents. They also would have given me at least a couple of lectures on what to expect if I went ahead and dating Interracially. My dad would be nervous about it but he would not have stood in the way of me doing so. My mother would have been all for it, encouraged me, and would have offered any help that she could think to provide. My parents have always given me free reign to date who I want . Which I can say this has happened before to me and I have to say that my parents were supportive from beginning to the end of the relationship. I dated a few girls that fit this question back in middle school and high school. I'm a very pale white guy, my friends joke that I am Casper white. The girls I dated were : Indian ( American ), Vietnamese, African, Mexican, Hawaiian, and Eskimo. Now as far as outside of racial I have dated others ( for example : Norwegian ) and I found my parents were less anxious about those but I guess that with the whole interracial mentally of the world to date in society. It has improved quite a bit over what was totally unacceptable back in my younger days to more accepted today. Not saying they still don't face issues and some harsh opinions but it is less frowned upon than it used to be. 

Had I been back home (Quebec), they might have shown a bit of a surprise considering that my region is quite homogeneous. However, as long as I'm happy, I don't think they would have cared.
