MARKET RULES

The Market serves two functions.

1.) To display sales and bundles that are being offered by Steam and other gaming sites.
2.) To offer users a place to buy and sell in game goods, games, and other Steam related merchandise, whether physical or digital.

Users may make Market threads to

1.) Request that somebody else purchase a game gift code, or in game item for you in exchange for Viz.
2.) Offer to sell or auction these items to other users.
3.) Users may now make threads for bundles and sales, and may offer to buy or sell these.

If a thread is made that does not follow these rules, or is not given prior permission from either vanelan or I, the thread will be closed. Users will also receive a stern look and a shaking of the fist.


REVIEWS AND OPINIONS

REVIEWS
For Steam games, a review is similar to the ones found in RGR and VGR game pages. If a user posts a review for a game, it must be well though out, follow a set of guidelines, and also must be entertaining for the reader.

A review must be at least 500 words long and must include a description for each of the following categories. The categories are as follows.

Graphics. (What does the game look like?)
Music. (Soundtrack)
Gameplay. (Story, Depth, Difficulty, Controls, Battle System, Setting, etc.)
Pros and Cons. (What did you like the most about the game and what did you hate?)

These 4 categories are mandatory and must be found in every reviews. However, other topics may be included such as game/franchise history, developers, fun facts, what made you buy the game, etc.

Each category description must be accompanied by a grade out of 100 and the overall game must also receive a grade out of 100.

OPINIONS

Opinions are generally shorter than reviews and detailed descriptions of each category are not mandatory and do not need to be more than a sentence or two long. However, if a detailed description is made for two or more categories, then the post will be classified as a review and the word count and category requirements must be made.

As a general rule of thumb, a good opinion should be at least 50 words, and as long as they do not go into excessive detail of each category, there is no word count limit for an opinion.

As of now, we plan on having a small, featured review thread. As long as reviews follow all of the requirements and are highly well written and are insightful and fun for the reader, the review will be featured.

Please do not use the ReviewOpinions Sub Forum. Make sure that you use the Reviews/Opinions one.



TOUR DE VIZZED

THREADS

All new threads made during the TDV must be a minimum of 50 words. Any thread that is fewer than 50 words will be immediately reviewed to determine it's quality. Threads that are not of appropriate quality determined by forum mods may be closed and ignored. Of course, no user may make a "remake" thread of a closed thread and users may not make multiple threads that pertain to the same game, unless approved.

REVIEWS

All reviews must follow all requirements perfectly and must be a minimum of 500 words. ALL reviews will be inspected and a review will be either kept, or closed and ignored, depending on the quality of the review. No reviews may be made for games that have already been reviewed and users may PM me a copy of the review before it is posted and I will right away approve or deny it.

REPLIES

Currently, there will be no set guidelines for regular posts and replies, however, ALL posts will be monitored for quality, and appropriate actions will be made if posts appear to be spammy or of inappropriate quality.

There will be no elimination posts during the tdv and other threads may be closed as well.
