I don't know, but honestly, I really hope they don't it just seems unnecessary to waste a slot on a character like that, I think it is best left with just Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong which are the more important/major characters. The way I see it, I don't think they should add any more zelda or mario characters because there are already plenty of them. Then again, you never really know what Nintendo will do next because they are so unpredictable.

Its not that I don't like any of the Kongs or anything, but I think it is good enough that they already have the two major ones, and anything else would just take up extra space that could be put into something else. Still though, Nintendo might just consider and go through with it. For the most part I would be a little shocked if they did put her in because there are plenty of other characters I think are a lot more deserving of a slot.

I would definitely like to see Dixie Kong in Super Smash Bros 4. I think that she is a big enough character to deserve a part in the game. Like Sword Legion said though, there are a lot of other characters that I would like to see more then Dixie Kong such as Mewtwo, Pichu, Dr. Mario (after getting cut from Brawl), Mega Man (was he confirmed?), and Waluigi.

    I think Dixie Kong would be cool to be added, but there are quite a few more characters I'd like to see return or join over her. I'd like characters like Wario to return over Dixie. So, realistically, I don't really want her to join, but if everybody could be in the game, then the more the merrier, and I think she could be unique enough.

Wait, Dixie Kong is the one with the braids that can fly in Donkey Kong 64, right? If Donkey Kong is already in the game, I can not see them adding Dixie Kong in just the 4th version. Maybe Diddy Kong, but not Dixie. But, then again, they have added characters I would have never guessed, so you never know. 

I love Donkey Kong Country 2 to death. It is without a doubt in my top 10 favorite video games of all time. Amazing graphics, atmosphere, gameplay, multiplayer... It's only natural that I would love Dixie and Diddy as well. I know Dixie is in Dankey Kang Country 3 and Dankey Kang Tropical Fronk, but DKC3 was terrible and although I haven't played Tropical Fronk, it isn't from the original trio.

Dixie Kong in SSB4? That would be awesome. Sometimes I like to fantasize of Diddy and Dixie sharing the same slot. They would be basically the same, Diddy being a little faster and Dixie having better aerials. Let me show you my fantasy special moveset:

Diddy Kong's moveset:

Neutral-Special - Not sure. Either banana or peanut gun.
Up-Special - Team-up attack from DKC2. Puts Dixie on shoulders, then throws her up to a ledge. Can be thrown sideways for an attack.
Side-Special - Cartwheel. Very quick, covers medium distance, small knockback and damage. Can be canceled out of. Good for grounded combos.
Down-Special - Switch to Dixie.

Dixie Kong's moveset:

Neutral-Special - I honestly have no idea. Stupid idea: Plays a note on her guitar?
Up-Special - Uses her ponytail to fly upwards like a helicopter. Lets her fall slowly as well.
Side-Special - Same as Diddy's but with her ponytail like in the DKC series. Covers less distance and slower, but deals much more damage and knockback. Multi-hit attack.
Down-Special - Switch to Diddy.

I would want to see Dixie Kong, because she is pink and has long hair. COME ON! A KONG WITH PINK CLOTHES AND LONG HAIR!! AND IT'S NOT EVEN A HORILLA!!

I don't think Sakurai is gonna add anymore DLC characters to SSB4, Mewtwo was kinda pushing it. (If they do add more DLC characters, they should add more characters from games that don't have many characters in SSB4)

It would be fine with me if they did add Dixie into SSB4, my lack of encouragement for this character stems from only playing one Donkey Kong game, which is Donkey Konga for the GameCube.

I never really cared about Mewtwo, he used to be a fun player, but how was he special though? AT ALL? Lucario, Mewtwo's generally accepted replacement, has unique mechanics and operates similarly to Mewtwo. I mean, was Mewtwo really that amazing? AT ALL? I began to hate him as people wouldn't freaking shut up about him, then next thing we know Nintendo cracked and had to spend another few months programming another character. I mean jesus, they only showed a character model and said they were working on him, that's just SAD. There's a fine line between satisfying customers and spoiling them. Either don't bring back Mewtwo, or add him and deal with twice as many people as before begging you to design Dixie, Ridley, Issac, Snake, Ice Climbers (don't get me started with Ice Climbers).

Mecha Leo: Mewtwo? Not special? Not amazing? Mewtwo was a very unique character and was hugely requested, almost as much as Ridley. He is very iconic, being one of the most famous and loved Pokemon.

Lucario replacing Mewtwo though? Mewtwo is vastly different than any other character, including Lucario. Lucario has the same neutral special attack. Anything else? No? Lucario has the most friction, has aura, has a fast falling speed, and has literally only one move that he shares with Mewtwo (his neutral special). Mewtwo had the 3rd least friction, no aura, had a slow falling speed and was very floaty, and again has only one move in common with Lucario. They are different in literally every way except their neutral special, and the fact that they are Psychic Pokemon.

Other characters having more worth? Dixie isn't as popular as Mewtwo, Ridley is more popular but the programmers are assheads, Isaac isn't as popular as Mewtwo, Snake isn't as popular as Mewtwo (plus he's 3rd-party), and Ice Climbers aren't as popular are Mewtwo -- Heck, the Ice Climbers are widely hated by the casual play community.

To sum it all up: Mewtwo is extremely popular, very unique, way different than Lucario (completely different moveset, completely different playstyle), and has more worth than probably every other requested character other than Ridley and Little Mac.

It could be a possibility that they might release Dixie (as well as a couple of characters) as a Downloadable Characters in the future because I don't think we'll see another Super Smash Bros. game released until the next video game generation (since a Smash game is released once every generation since generation 5).
