The two that got to me was Angel's death on Buffy The Vampire Slayer. The other one that hit me really hard was Jonathan Kent's death on Smallville. Fred's death also got to me a little, but the one I never really understood,  was James Evans death on Good Times. It really made me mad that they killed him off like that, but I hear he didn't like the direction the show was going.

This is definitely not going to be popular, but I was pretty depressed when Shane died on The Walking Dead.

Yes, he was a jerk, but he was an......admirable jerk. He was kind of funny in just how blunt and often inconsiderate he could be. When he got killed off by a damn 10-year-old I felt betrayed, to say the least.

A sad death I remember seeing even though to me it was rerun was on New York Undercover where one of the main cops from the beginning (Eddie) was killed in a car bomb explosion at the end of Season 3. It's basically sad when a character who helps define the series ends up dying out of nowhere like James Sr. from Good Times, Edith Bunker from All In The Family sequel (don't remember the name), and too a lesser extent Edna Krabbapel from Simpsons. Although the last two examples, died off camera.
