As the next Smash Bros. games in the series get closer and closer, we fans are getting more and more excited. There's plenty we're excited for -- New characters, new mechanics, fixed online play, Smash Run, new stages, etc.

But exactly how excited? Choose on of the options in the polls. There's disappointed, not really reading/watching info on it, somewhat excited, excited, and overly excited.

Those who know me know that I am a huge Smash Bros. fan. I bring Smash Bros. into nearly every unrelated conversation I'm in. I am just obsessed. Melee was incredibly fun, and Brawl was very fun also. But this game... This game actually looks like I might prefer it over Melee. I've always loved Melee. Brawl was cool because of the depth, but Melee was cool if you prefered gameplay over graphics/depth/music. It's said by the creator that SSB4 is going to be in between Melee and Brawl in terms of gameplay. So even though it won't have advanced techniques that were exclusive to Melee, such as wavedashing and l-canceling (though it's rumored l-canceling might return), it should still have physics similar to Melee's.

SSB4 looks like it's going to be completely packed with content. You know Skyrim? That huge, endless game? 5 gigabytes. Brawl? A game on the Wii instead of the PC or the XBOX 360? 8 huge gigabytes. Eight. SSB4 is going to be even bigger. More characters, more stages, more music, more everything. It's going to be huge.

I'm excited for both the 3DS version and the Wii U version. I'm going to get both (I am going to get a Wii U JUST for this game). I simply cannot wait. For a whole year now I have been checking daily for information on this game. Pics of the Day, Nintendo Directs, etc. And I've been ready to buy them. I've already pre-ordered the 3DS version.

So me? Overly excited. How about you?

Yes because I have never played a smash bros game and they seem to be really fun. There are just so many new characters to play as and they are all really amazing. My hardest part will be choosing which character I should play as first.

I am not excited one bit, I couldn't care any less about Super Smash Bros 4. I would love to see who really does care about this game and it generally excited about the game. I have really stopped caring about any Nintendo games or consoles at least this and last generation.

I am excited about this game because of all of the new characters that will be released and we will be able to play as well as the new stages and the overall look of the game. It is supposed to be faster than brawl but not as fast as melee, they said they are also designing more stages to look like final destination which is good in my opinion. 

One thing I will say though is that I am mostly looking forward to the fixed online play, players won't be able to hack and if they do, they will be closely monitored and possibly banned from playing online again which is good because I enjoyed playing online in brawl for the wii, but it was always too laggy or people hacked and took away from the fun. 

I have the same plan as you, I have the 3ds already but I am still saving for the wii U, I am about 50 bucks short, but I should still be able to save that much for when it comes out and I will buy the console and the game...I will probably end up liking it better on the console though, so if that is the case, then I don't think I will get it for the 3ds. 


Nonetheless though, I am pretty psyched for ssb4 to finally come out! 

TheFadedWarrior : I'm not really obsessed but I am REALLY excited. I mean man It's looking awesome AND YOU CAN PLAY SMASH BROS IN A CAR WITH FRIENDS. OMG. No seriously that's the best thing ever.  2014 Is looking like a great nintendo year: Mario kart 8, Pokemon Omega Ruby/ Alpha sapphire And SSB4!! I l also really like that the system is a bit in between melee and brawl. Brawl is probably my favourite because of nostalgia But melee is the better game. ( My opinion.)

I'm only really excited to use Link cause of his new move set, Charizard cause he's solo not with Pokemon Trainer to command him and Greninja. Of course I will use the other characters for fun. The extra mode(s) that are included in the 3DS version only, looks fun but it also looks like it can get pretty stale a bit fast, meh.

It comes out for 3ds on October 10th... Why so far away?!

I'm excited enough to get the game, and that's about it. Yes, there are plenty of trailers and characters that have been enough to get me to squeal a bit, but the lack of a story mode is bugging me. You see, I can see myself getting bored of SSB4 fairly quickly without some big mode like that. I can only fight random people for so long before I get bored

I'm not even a Pac-Man fan, but that just doubled my hype for the game for some reason.
