Cheating sucks. Whether it was you or he other who did it it takes two to cheat. Warmaker is right about the fact that if someone is cheating on you that mean something is missing from you. Sometimes though, it isn't just you who is missing something though. Like I said it takes two - to make a mistake and purposefully commit acts that is not beneficial to your relationship - to make or break a relationship.
Thankfully I have never cheated, I have a wild mind, mind you, but I am always in control of one variable and that is myself. I can only control myself. I have never cheated but I have been cheated on. Really showed me what I lacked. Why was I inadequate? First, blame yourself, see if you are at fault, truly and really, were you? Why do I have a wild mind? It takes two. Clearly something is missing on her part if I am actively thinking of other chicks and clearly something is wrong with me if she finds another guy more attractive even if he is less built and is unintelligent right? So it comes down to both persons.
I think everything needs a balance. You be there for her and she will for you. You let things get stale and in time she will find you stale and vice versa. I just suggest a few things and explain them to the people here who wouldn't know how to deal with such a situation.
1. Do not cheat. Break up first. If you cheat and get with your new partner that relationship is likely to end the same way: someone cheating.
2. Relationship going stale? Go climb a mountain, Go parasailing, go do something you normally wouldn't do...all with your partner
3. Be fit - yes it is superficial but people choose mates that are healthy looking, strong looking, in other words, you need to be a strong man or a tender woman who is strong in her own rights. This kind of stuff really starts in high school but it is never too late to stop drinking soda right?
4. Be an organized person. If you are hurt how do you cope? You need to find a way to cope, it can be different for everyone. I personally found a little time every day to cry in the shower after letting people know and them telling me to not be too sad blah blah and I found new things to do, kept myself busy.
5. Piggybacking on #4, After you are hurt, you need to keep your life going whether you take this person back or not.
6. IF you are the cheater, you are a straightup a**h*** if you don't feel guilt. If you cheated and feel that the relationship has to end, DO IT. It saves everyone time, money, and pain only humans can experience.
There is certainly more, but I need to go get a few games of Mario Kart in before she wakes up...So good look everyone. This is a tough subject but it is certainly not an endless one. There are so many ways to go wrong because there are so many interesting and beautiful people everywhere, it can be hard not to stray but like I use self control to stop things. It isn't that hard. The hard part is if you were cheated on, you need to cope somehow.
To the poor souls who has never been in a relationship: it is a fun thing but also very stressful. I say poor souls because you really do not know what you are missing unless you are kids then take it easy. Have a few high school flings, that is like training for the blissful brutality that is to come later on because now $$$ is involved. Believe it or not, money cannot buy love but it is a really big part of life in general and it can be an obstacle if you are lacking too much in it.
