"Time... for the final time." legacyme3 said.

The final challenge of Vizzed Survivor: Kanashi Shima was in the books, and it was a thriller.

"Rather than leave you in suspense, here are your results." He posted them on a piece of paper on a tree trunk.

In parenthesis is the amount of points you get for your score in that game.

Challenge 13
Dig Dug High Score
sonicmcmuffin - 26,950 (3)
deg2000 - 27,030 (4)
pacman1755 - 25,780 (2)
EideticMemory - 18,810 (1)

Mega Man High Score
sonicmcmuffin - 2,282,700 (3)
deg2000 - 1,340,500 (2)
pacman1755 - 1,020,600 (1)
EideticMemory - 2,502,400 (4)

Excitebike Speed Run
sonicmcmuffin - 1:12.14 (3)
deg2000 - 1:19.36 (2)
pacman1755 - 1:22.32 (1)
EideticMemory - 1:09.64 (4)

Final Tally
sonicmcmuffin - 9
EideticMemory - 9
deg2000 - 8
pacman1755 - 4

"The result, is that both EideticMemory and sonicmcmuffin have won immunity, and as a result, will both be in the final three. This means tonight, you have the choice between voting out deg2000, and pacman1755. Those are the only two choices you have."

deg and pacman looked at each other. It was a well played game, but one of them would be going home, without a chance at the grand prize, and the title of Survivor.

The final elimination. The suspense is killing me. And one of you.

Here's your video! Make sure to stick around to the very end!

A quick note. All things said during the "Rites of Passage" were made up by me for atmosphere.

-----

The remaining three found themselves back at camp. The spirits had never been higher. Through all the trials and tribulations, they were there.

sonicmcmuffin of the original Kengen tribe.

EideticMemory of the original Hokori tribe.

deg2000 of the original Kiga tribe.

Authority. Pride. Hunger.

All became Uragiri. Betrayal.

Through everything, they stood here. It didn't matter how they arrived, or what they did. They were here. They were alone. They were at the top. These were arguably the three best players to play this game, and they were split evenly now. There were no more idols. No more games. No more challenges or mind tricks.

They were all equal under the judgement of one entity. The Jury.

Knowing this, they waited. Waited for judgement to come. Waited for this long game to reach its end.

They waited so long, that they were starting to go mad. To their rescue came legacyme3. To their salvation, he had come.

"Good morning you three."

A soft murmur was heard. Then a grumble. Eventually a snarl.

"You've all made it as far as you can go. You are the Final Three. There is no twist, there is no hidden trick up my sleeve. This is the end. There is just one more thing for you all to do before we can finish this game."

They waited in silence, for he commanded their attention.

"Throughout this game, you have voted out a total of 16 people. 16 people who all had the same goal. The same dream. The same desire. Today, you are still Uragiri. But for this, you'll need to shed all the bitterness or hatred you may have for the departed or those beside you. Today, you will briefly become Yurushi. You will forgive those who came before. Those who will come after. Those who are here right now."

An awe fell over them, and a chill raced down their spines.

"You will take these pink headbands, and drop your old orange ones in your campfire, after you burn your camp down. Leave no trace. Leave no sign you were ever here. The tribe is dead. But from death arises new life."

He places the new pink buffs off to the side, far away from anything that will be burned down.

"Once you have finished burning down your camp, you will embark on a journey through the Kanashi Shima wild on a very obvious trail. You will follow this trail to the end, and you will forgive those who came before, and pray for their forgiveness as well. You will pay your final respects to them, and thus, to yourself. Because you were all one."

He clears his throat, to continue his ever extending diatribe.

"And once you have suitably achieved forgiveness, and repented for past misdeeds, you will continue on to the Tribal Council area, where you will make your case to the jury, for the chance to win this game. There's nothing left that I have to say for you, besides 'Good Luck'. Safe travels, survivors. All of you are deserving of the title, but there can only be one."

He then leaves via chopper, and leaves you to do the final deeds.

-----

It is a few hours later, when you finally gather all your essentials, and make the site burnable. As you are about to light the flame, and destroy your home for the past months, you stop and think about the times you have had here. This is the last time you will (hopefully) see Kanashi Shima. So you take it all in. The energy is in the air. You feel at peace with what you are about to do.

So you light the camp ablaze. As the three of you stand there, gazing into the cleansing fire, you think about what it means to you to be a Survivor.

You take off your orange headbands, and throw them into the fire. Burning your past ties, intent on making new ones.

Once the headbands are long gone, and decide the flame is under control, and will die out on its own, you go to where legacyme3 left the pink headbands, and slide them on.

Now, you go and seek forgiveness, members of Yurushi.

-----

You walk down the assigned path, and not long after you do, you find a station. There is a sign. Reading the sign, you take in the information.

"Hello, Survivors.

This is the first stop of several you will make today. This is the cleansing station. Here, you will take the first shower you've had in months, and upon conclusion of said showers, assemble here. Once all of you have returned from your bathing, you will open this crate beneath you. Further instructions will be inside."

Off to your showers you went, wondering what the crate would contain.

This curiosity would be satiated in short time.

Once you all reassemble, you open the crate that takes the strength of three people to open it.

Inside are three torches, a map, some pink paint, and a note.

The note reads as such.

"These are special ceremonial torches for use in paying your final respects. After covering yourself in pink paint, you will follow this map (careful not to mix the two!) and light the torches of all those who have left this game. This will take a good long while, so make sure to properly stock up on food and water inside."

Upon doing so, you depart.

-----

Not long after leaving, you find the first torch in a clearing. Walking up to it, all you see is a name. "zanderlex".

"zanderlex was an ok guy, I suppose. I didn't get much chance to talk to him, since we voted him out right away, but I think, all things equal, he would have made a great tribemate." deg2000, former tribemate of zanderlex, waxed. "I'm sure he forgave us long ago, but now it is time to forgive myself."

The other two stand in silence. Knowing the tone today's ordeal would bring.

Once this tribute concludes, deg lights zanderlex's torch, symbolizing life after death. The ultimate sign of respect.

-----

As you make your way to the next torch, you already know what to expect over the next several hours. You prepare yourselves for what to say about the people you had left, and leaving them with one last impact in both the game and your hearts.

-----

The next torch was hanging from a tree, but clearly visible. sonicmcmuffin lowers the torch, and plants it firmly in the ground, in the middle, between both rows of trees.

"becerra95 wasn't a guy I particularly got along with. But he was a guy that I respected. He knew his time in the game was up, and he voted himself out. It takes some balls to say you are done. To give life to someone else, and to prevent anyone from having to make a tough decision. I can't say I miss him, but I won't be forgetting him any time soon" deg2000 went on. It would be the first of many players he would have to send off, being the only one to know the Kiga Outcasts well at all.

He lights the torch, and they walk away, having already paid respects to two of the sixteen.

-----

They climb up a small hill as they exit the forest. At the top of this small hill are two torches. One for Mecha Leo, and one for Fallman7. Worth noting is that Fallman7's torch is slightly taller, and slightly higher up on the mountain.

"Mecha Leo quit on us in the middle of the challenge, and really hurt our chances of being competitive. He didn't do well in the challenge, but because he quit, we ended up losing two members at once, instead of just one. For a while, I think I hated him. But now, I can look back and laugh. It was incidents like that that gave me the strength to be better. To strive to survive. Without Mecha Leo, I don't think I'm still here." deg says before clearing his throat, and moving on to Fallman7.

"Fallman7 on the other hand, made our choice really easy, by not even participating in the challenge. If the strong survive, then it is the weak who will be weeded out. Fallman7 proved he was weak. We lost two people that day. Someone who was weak mentally in Mecha Leo, and someone who was weak physically in Fallman7. But being weak isn't a bad thing. All of us were weak in one way or another. It's just the rationale one uses to dump those you need to get rid of. We were fools."

Deg lights both torches, while sonicmcmuffin and EideticMemory remain silent. This was his moment.

Continuing on, they saw a line of torches all in a row on the upcoming flat grassy plain.

-----

The first of those torches read "dragonslayer444".

"I almost got voted out here. It's thanks entirely to Blubcreator's decision that I'm still here. We had just lost a challenge, and the Kiga tribe was about to be dissolved. We were hungry, and we starved as a unit. Only individually would we even have a chance to make it through. dragonslayer444 joined late, and it was fun while it lasted, but his inactivity forced us to move on."

deg lights the torch. One of the last ones he'd have to do.

-----

EideticMemory smiles as he looks at the next torch in the line. "Snowdeath" it says.

"This was our first experience with having to vote a member out. Up until now, both strong tribes could just beat on the weak one... no offense deg. Now that both of our teams were vulnerable, the game truly began. It wasn't a tough choice to vote out Snow. She was the only one that didn't participate. Really, she disappeared for a while, and hadn't even come with us to the challenges. We honestly just assumed she wandered into the woods never to be seen again. But the other day, legacyme3 pulled me off to the side to tell me they had found her, and she was going to be ok. It was a move we had to make, but one I wish we hadn't had to." EideticMemory posited. He lit this torch, lit up his trademark smile, and walked away, to the next.

-----

Two torches criss crossed each other at the next stop. "Galacta" and "KG"

sonicmcmuffin spoke up, "This was probably the lowest moment of the game for me. We were in a position of power, had all the right members, and had been incredibly active. Then it all fell apart. Galacta quit, and KG was inactive besides. Because Galacta quit, we were already back to even, but because neither he or KG participated, we ended up losing, and lost two members, instead of one." He lights Galacta's torch. "I'll especially miss KG though. She was one of my best friends on the island. Once she left, it became more and more lonely." With a single manly tear, he lights her torch ablaze as well.

-----

There was one last stop in this open field.

"supernerd117".

"That's a name I haven't heard in a while..." said sonicmcmufin, "I remember that he helped us out big time with a lot of challenges. It's a shame he was so good at them. If not for his obvious strength, he may have lasted longer in the game. A strategic move to get rid of him, and it came at the perfect time. This was the last person voted out before the merge."

"Yeah, I didn't know him very long, once I was absorbed into Kengen, but it was either him or us, and I'm glad it was him. He was a very strong player. Voting him out was a sign of respect. Not spite." deg closed.

Nodding between them, they both lit his torch, before moving back into the forest.

-----

"This was where the game really opened up." proclaimed EideticMemory. "We'd merged into one tribe, and it became a free for all. Any alliances we thought we had were gone. Or at the very least, questionable."

He looked at the name on the torch.

"Yoshirulez! was the only person not to participate in the challenge, so it made voting him out fairly easy. We had just merged, and didn't feel like making big game changing moves right away." sonicmcmuffin added.

"It would have been nice to keep him around, but the game was becoming more and more about personal survival. Losing yoshirulez! meant we didn't have to lose ourselves. This was first and foremost, and the shocking new reality of the game we were playing. It was about us. Not the unit." deg finished.

EideticMemory lit the torch, having known yoshirulez! the longest, but suddenly, it felt like all three of them were lighting it. The instances were starting to get personal. They all had something or other to say about the people they had left behind.

-----

"pokemon x." sonicmcmuffin led. "I'm not sure why he kept voting himself exactly, but I figure he just got as far as he felt he could go. We were trying to vote out silverthundr, but that blasted hidden immunity idol saved him. So we ended up having to get rid of someone we liked. It was the first time I think we'd voted out someone and had such a split in the voting. It was touch and go."

"He seemed to be done with us, and the game, and now he's on the jury. I'm not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing. Whatever the case, here's hoping he can forgive our transgressions." EideticMemory spoke out.

When he was finished, deg gathered his thoughts, and just couldn't say a thing. "At this point, I'm just speechless."

sonicmcmuffin lit the torch aflame, and moved on, with both his fellow Survivors in tow.

------

Two torches. One on both sides of the trail.

"megamanmaniac" and "Surgiac".

"megamanmaniac made himself too easy a target for everyone. He just kept winning challenges, and when he finally got stuck with silverthundr, and lost one, it made it too easy to take the chance to vote him out. If only he'd been stuck with a competent partner, he'd possibly be here right now." EideticMemory thought out loud.

"Surgiac on the other hand, was a victim of circumstance. Once again, that snake silverthundr escaped by the skin of his teeth. We'd tried to get him out again, but the flip of a dollar bill of all things saved his ass. I'm sorry, Surgiac. This wasn't part of the plan." sonicmcmuffin shook his head and sighed.

Both torches were lit like the others before, and suddenly, they found themselves nearing the end of their journey.

-----

"silverthundr."

There was nothing anyone had left to say about silverthundr. They lit his torch and walked on, not particularly wanting or needing his forgiveness.

As they walked away though, they failed to notice legacyme3 trailing behind them. Upon seeing them leave his sight, he took silverthundr's torch, snuffed it, and left it otherwise intact.

-----

"Blubcreator".

This was the end of the forest. Tribal Council was nearby. The journey was almost over.

"Five of us left, and someone had to go. We'll never know if the two votes that didn't get read, because someone failed to follow instructions, will end up mattering. Reading comprehension is a skill, and Blubcreator was one of the few left that still had it." sonicmcmuffin joked.

"I on the other hand, didn't have my vote read." deg explained. "So uh..."

"Well that's because you didn't tell legacyme3 which player you thought deserved to win the game." EideticMemory laughed.

"Oh."

They lit Blub's torch, and went to the last torch left to light.

-----

"pacman1755"

"To put it simply pacman, there was barely any chance of you surviving once Eidetic and I won immunity, since deg had a hidden immunity idol apparently." sonicmcmuffin said.

"I still have no idea how I lucked out." deg laughed.

"Strange, that is." EideticMemory added.

"Well, pacman was probably one of the best players to play this game, and all things equal, he deserves a spot in the Final Three just as much as any of us. He just got unlucky. Had he won immunity, he'd be here, maybe instead of me." sonicmcmuffin said.

The final torch was lit by sonicmcmuffin.

-----

All the torches lit, the players continued to the Tribal Council area.

Waiting for them was legacyme3, and just legacyme3.

"Hello, and welcome to the Final Tribal Council." he said. "You just got done with a rite of passage, and a cleansing of your souls. Well done. You did everything to the letter, and followed directions. You played this game harder than even I expected, and have made it to the very end."

The players took their seats.

"However, it doesn't matter what I, or even you think. Because the final result is going to be dependent entirely on how other people thought you played the game. The Jury will get the final and ultimate say."

-----

Upon finishing his small speech, he motioned to look over to their left.

"Welcome your 7 members of the Jury."

yoshirulez!, pokemon x, megamanmaniac, Surgiac, Blubcreator, pacman1755, and supernerd117 entered the council room.

"You'll notice that supernerd117 is here, and silverthundr is gone. This is because of silverthundr's reluctance to participate in this game. He basically said he wasn't going to play ball, and he wouldn't vote for anyone. It goes without saying that he's blacklisted from the Jury. We need our jurors to play the game, even after leaving. The 7 of you are here, because you all played ball, well after the game ended. For that, you have my thanks in advance of what you are about to do."

The jurors nod their heads, in silence. The appreciation from the host was nice, but they still had a job to do.

"So here's what is going to happen, EideticMemory, sonicmcmuffin, and deg. These jurors were given a task a week ago. This task was to come up with a statement or question for you. Each of them has something to say, or something they want to know out of you before they make their final decision and vote for a winner to this game. They will each in turn say these statements or questions (In this post, below) and you will answer them in turn. You should summon them so they know you are answering them, but this is not required."

The players nodded in understanding.

"So I'm going to get out of their way. I'll let them ask their questions and state their statements. And then I will wait for you all to answer them. There is no time limit, but I'd prefer if you answered each of them in turn. There are a couple of rules to state before we get this done."

RULES
1. The questions will be listed below this list of rules.
2. You are to answer all questions and statements. You should answer them honestly, but this is on you.
3. You may engage in a back and forth in this thread with a juror if an argument arises, but keep this to a minimum.
4. Once I, and I alone, determine the period is over, I will declare so in a separate post. No one, jurors, or players, no one will be allowed to continue their conversation past that point.
5. You may use other jurors questions to influence your own vote (it is reccommended you know as much as possible.)
6. Any questions not outlined in the rules should be asked to me directly.
7. Voting will take place AFTER I have made the post in rule 4.
8. The questions can be addressed to All, or to any specific player. The person who needs to answer is in bold. If it is an All question, then everyone needs to answer.

-----

The first juror to stand was pokemon x.

"My question for you all, is this... Why would you like to, or need to, win this game?"

-----

He sat, and up rose yoshirulez!

"OK, first thing's first... deg2000, why should I vote for you, when there were clearly others who did better at pretty much all of the games?"

Then he turned his attention to sonicmcmuffin. "You did pretty bleh at some of the games, but others you were ok. I think if you tried, you could've done a little more though. No further statement."

Then EideticMemory. "I rarely saw you doing something other than practicing at the games and trying to get a higher score. I like that. That's all."

-----

pacman1755 rose up to deliver his questions.

"This is to all of you. How in any way have you proven to me that you deserve to win at this point?"

-----

Blubcreator took the stand.

"First, sonicmcmuffin, do you think you've done the best out of the remaining three so far?"

"deg2000, did you think you would make it this far? If so do you think you deserve to be here?"

"Finally, EideticMemory, how hard would you say this competition was for you?"

-----

supernerd117 jumped up. "First of all, it is great to be here, and I hope you accept me as a new jury member. But now, down to business."

"deg2000, what will you do with any rewards you receive at the end of this competition?"

"EideticMemory, would you bluff to try to win this competition? Why or why not? Make your response as detailed as possible, please, without making it too long."

sonicmcmuffin, what does this competition mean to you? Be completely honest, and make sure it's your current feelings you're describing."

-----

megamanmaniac cleared his throat.

"So... EideticMemory, why do you think you deserve to win this competition more than anyone else?"

"sonicmcmuffin, do you think that, being the strongest player remaining, your chances of winning are all but certain?

"And last but not least... deg2000, do you believe that you have a chance to win at all? Why or why not?"

-----

Surgiac raced up.

"This is to all of you. Why should I vote for the ones who voted me out?"

She then left as quickly as she came.

-----

And then, once all seven jurors left their statements, legacyme3 stepped up to the stand.

"The jury has left each of you a question, but I too, have one for all of you to answer. The jury will take the answer to this into account, so keep that in mind. It is an official question from the host."

He took a breath and asked, "Why shouldn't the jury vote for the two people next to you?"

-----

"That is all for the questions. Make sure to take your time and answer all your questions. This is your final task as players of this game."

Firstly Let me congratulate the other two members of the final three, We all had different stories on how we got here so let's do them justice and answer the jury's questions truthfully!

pokemon x:
"My question for you all, is this... Why would you like to, or need to, win this game?"

Honestly speaking this isn't a competition I NEED to win, It won't affect my life in anyway if i don't win as I've had so much fun playing with and against other members on this Site. Honestly I would LIKE to win this game simply because of the amount of effort I've put into every challenge, I entered this competition hoping to get into the Final 10, I got to the final 3 and I did it how i wanted to, I didn't slack off in games to make myself look weaker, I tried to get the best score i could in each game. I tried to help my original clan as much as i could.

Basically I'd Like to win this game because of the amount of devotion, time and fun I've had with this whole competition

yoshirulez!:
"You did pretty bleh at some of the games, but others you were ok. I think if you tried, you could've done a little more though. No further statement."

My first response to this was simple, It was disbelief.

I would argue about why i disagree with you yoshi, but i feel that you will simply vote for EideticMemory without even reading what me and deg say, Also you wouldn't really see me on games as much as the others because I'm 6 hours ahead... derp.

I took the time to read through all the past challenges and tallied up the scores in Three different ways

The first way i tallied up scores was simple, I went through the challenges and focused solely on the scores of the 3 people left in the competition, whoever scored the highest out of Sonicmcmuffin,EideticMemory and Deg2000, would get 3 points, With 2nd getting 2, and third getting 1, These are the results.

Total points scored
Sonicmcmuffin 34
Eideticmemory 28
Deg2000 17

The second way i tallied up scores is by counting who won the most challenges between the 3 of us, the results are as follows

Games won
sonicmcmuffin 9
eideticmemory 4
Deg2000 1

The third and final way was who had won the most challenges outright, The person that had beaten everyone else in a challenge and usually got immunity, These are based on individual scores.

Challenges won
sonicmcmuffin 5
eideticmemory 3
deg2000

If those 3 stats do not prove why i deserve to win this game then i have no idea what will,

pacman1755:
"This is to all of you. How in any way have you proven to me that you deserve to win at this point?"

I hope that i have proven to you why i deserve to win in the statement above, I've been the strongest player arguably throughout this whole competition, I tried to help my original clan as much as i could, I made a video on Mario kart so people would know how to get close to my time... I just wanted to win so badly that i probably spent more effort than was acceptable on this competition.

I will now be totally honest to you and say that i was the person that gave deg2000 that idol, My plan was simple, Whoever came last in this challenge was going to be eliminated, I honestly wish it didn't have to be you but it was the fairest and easiest way to make this decision. I hope you understand.

Blubcreator:
"First, sonicmcmuffin, do you think you've done the best out of the remaining three so far?"

If you look at my reply to yoshirulez then yes i believe i have done the best out of the remaining three, It's not an opinion, It's fact.

I did those results to clarify who had done the best overall in the competition between us 3, If deg2000 had been the strongest would i post it, Yes... I feel that in this competition it should be based less on who you trust and more on actual results and figures. I hope it does end up with people voting for Me as the strongest player, Instead of simply turning this into a popularity contest.

supernerd117:
"sonicmcmuffin, what does this competition mean to you? Be completely honest, and make sure it's your current feelings you're describing."

This competition means more to me than it should, I have poured more effort into this competition than pretty much anything else ever held on Vizzed, (Though the summer camp comes a close 2nd)

It's hard to put my feelings on paper, But my feelings at this moment in time are Desire, the desire to win, and Worry, Worry that despite statistically doing the best out of the three remaining players that the jury will simply vote for their friends and not the people that deserve to win.

Also as much as it would be great to win, If i do nothing will compare to the joy I've had taken part in VSKS that's for sure.

megamanmaniac:
"sonicmcmuffin, do you think that, being the strongest player remaining, your chances of winning are all but certain?

Honestly speaking no i don't, I believe my chances of winning are actually slimmer than EideticMemory's, Simply put because i believe a few people will simply vote for them, Despite what the statistics i said in the reply to yoshi's statement.

If people were to base their vote simply on who had achieved things then i would be confident. I mean i won 5 of the 13 challenges. But honestly I'm not confident at all that I'll win. Despite how much i believe i deserve to.

Surgiac:
"This is to all of you. Why should I vote for the ones who voted me out?"

I just looked at who i voted for on the day you was eliminated, And I didn't vote for you.

Despite that I think it would be petty to not vote for the people that did eliminate you. After all it's up to you to decide on who you think deserves to win, It shouldn't be based on spite.

That's all i have to say.

legacyme3:
"Why shouldn't the jury vote for the two people next to you?"

The jury should not vote for EideticMemory or Deg2000, Because i feel that i deserve to win this competition, I have won more challenges than both of them combined.  I have won 5 challenges, EideticMemory has won 3 and Deg has won 0

I have Beaten Deg2000 and EideticMemory more times than they have beaten me. In the 13 challenges, I outscored both EideticMemory and Deg 9 times.  Both of them together have outscored me 4 times.

All i have left to say is that, If anyone deserves to win this game it's me. But then again i feel as if i won't win, Because the Jury will simply vote for their friends... which is the easy way out and there's not really much i can do to change that... As they say, The fate of this competition lies in your hands.. And your hands alone

Firstly Let me congratulate the other two members of the final three, We all had different stories on how we got here so let's do them justice and answer the jury's questions truthfully!

The finals huh well time to try again good luck to you Muffin and you Eidetic

pokemon x :

"My question for you all, is this... Why would you like to, or need to, win this game?"

I never really needed to win at all I was just playing with others and having fun not really caring until my team started falling apart cause I wasn't really playing my best until I thought of I'm winning for Kiga not myself. And I would like to now win this game showing that a member from Kiga can be a winner.

yoshirulez! :

why should I vote for you, when there were clearly others who did better at pretty much all of the games?"

I totally laughed at this question thinking that it was clearly true even though I was horrible at playing games I started getting better showing that I can fight back. But i'll just say one thing it's your choice to say you would like to vote for.

pacman1755 :

This is to all of you. How in any way have you proven to me that you deserve to win at this point?"

dunno *shrugs*. Well I think I've proven in a way that I made it this far and have tried my hardest to fight back at other teams. And stay in this game.

Blubcreator :

did you think you would make it this far? If so do you think you deserve to be here?"

I actually I didn't but then I wanted to make it this far. I guess I deserve to be here cause I think I showed perseverance even though I lost basically every challenge but I still stood my feet waiting for the next challenge. that is my reason.

supernerd117 :

what will you do with any rewards you receive at the end of this competition?"

I just had a failure moment I forgot you actually won something from this. I don't what I would do with whatever I get maybe I could use for the good of something or Just I don't know.

megamanmaniac :

"And last but not least... deg2000, do you believe that you have a chance to win at all? Why or why not?"

I actually thought I had no chance in the beginning cause everyone was so experienced in gaming and strong people so I was scared that I would fall right there and then but my team actually helped me through the game making me better than I was.

Surgiac :

"This is to all of you. Why should I vote for the ones who voted me out?"

I voted for you cause I was scared of you mostly and because this was my voting brain

Surge or Silver??? ( Surgiac cause she will always come back and that's scary)

legacyme3 :

Why shouldn't the jury vote for the two people next to you?"

Dang nabbit I knew this question would come up. I dislike answering these kinds of questions.

It took forever to find an answer for these.

I actually feel a friendship between these 2 users that I want both of them too win and I didn't really care about myself but know I guess it's time to answer this.

I feel Muffin shouldn't win why? Because.... I did think of it as a great thing but also kind of cheap at one point cause he gave me the Idol instead of having a voting ceremony where as it would have chosen a view of Pac or Me.

And would you stop selling yourself short in the end you still have a great chance of winning this.

Eidetic shouldn't win because.. (I can't find a reason)

So here we are at last… down to just three. Hard to believe, right?

It’s interesting to note that we three weren’t the best RGR gamers, nor even the smartest.

But that’s just it, isn’t it?

VSKS wasn’t merely a competition of playing skill. To describe it as such would be to ignore the intrinsically psychological nature of this game.

To ignore that would be to ignore the thrill that we all felt while voting.

To ignore that would be to ignore all of the teamwork involved. The names “Kiga”... “Hokori”... “Kengen”. They all hold meaning. They represent time we spent discussing with teammates, making friends, and formulating plans, instead of improving personal scores.

To ignore this would be denying the VSKS the credit it deserves.

We three are here for different reasons. We used different strategies. Whether that was brute forcing the game by trying to dominate, or by taking a more contemplative approach, the conclusion was the same. Just repeating which strategy was used to get here is meaningless. We are the final three.

What I’m saying is simple.

Look at the bigger picture.

Legacyme3 would not have assembled you to make a thoughtless decision.

You know that the fate of the game is in your hands, but more importantly:

You have the chance to be a JURY.

------

pokemon x : "My question for you all, is this... Why would you like to, or need to, win this game?"

I need to win this game to do it justice. I know that I’m the only one who can.

If you don’t understand why that is yet, you will shortly.

yoshirulez! : "I rarely saw you doing something other than practicing at the games and trying to get a higher score. I like that. That's all."

I really appreciate that.

Now that we’re all “Yurushi”, are you our leader? I kid. =)

pacman1755 : "This is to all of you. How in any way have you proven to me that you deserve to win at this point?"

I’m sorry about how you were blocked out of a vote. It was rigged with that back door immunity idol exchange, and you had no chance.

But at the same time, it casts a dark shadow on both sonicmcmuffin and deg2000.

They have to live with that decision and it’s consequences. They might think it’s worth it, but we will soon see if that’s the case.

Why do I deserve to win? I’m the only candidate left with a true understanding of the game.

If one doesn’t know what they’re playing, they’re playing the wrong game.

Blubcreator : "Finally, EideticMemory, how hard would you say this competition was for you?"

It was exhausting, both physically and mentally. “Survival” is tough. My strategy was a more thoughtful approach.

So I didn’t have the best knightmare frame, but I did have my mind.

And while that’s my forte, it was mentally torturous, all the same.

I know you will understand.

supernerd117 : "Would you bluff to try to win this competition? Why or why not? Make your response as detailed as possible, please, without making it too long."

I plead to you sir, to hear my case.
Even though in this poem, I cannot drop the bass.
Is it even possible to bluff? I don’t think so.
My cards are showing, so everyone would know.
But what I can do, is change your mind,
And show you that my royal flush is better than four of a kind.
Even though I was of Hokori, and you of Kengen,
We’re all truly Uragiri, and I consider you my kin.

megamanmaniac : "EideticMemory, why do you think you deserve to win this competition more than anyone else?"

I’m not sure I deserve to win this competition more than -anyone- else. But out of us three that are left, I know so.

I deserve to win because the game isn’t about who dominated the most. It’s about survival. It’s about passion. I will not forget sacrifices my teammates made.

I don’t see a win for me as a personal win, but rather one for VSKS.

Surgiac : "This is to all of you. Why should I vote for the ones who voted me out?"

That’s the thing. Nobody should strongarm you into voting. It’s up to you.

But-- I would like to remind you of one thing, in case you hadn’t seen it.

How would you have felt if there wasn’t even a true vote?

That’s what happened with pacman1755. I suggest you look at legacyme3’s latest video, and both of my opponents have indeed admitted to their part. They basically traded an immunity idol and even though pacman won the vote, he was removed from the island. If you’re feeling true resentment over getting voted out, I expect this to do no less than make your blood boil.

Let me know what you think about that, if possible.

legacyme3 : "Why shouldn't the jury vote for the two people next to you?"

The jury is doing more than taking control of the game.

They decide, ultimately, what the game was about.

I’ve already expressed my qualms with how much more complex the game is than just who did “better”. That would make a Jury pointless. It would undervalue the time spent helping teammates. It would send a message that the only true way to win was by brute forcing the game, when many alternative strategies existed.

If you don’t vote for me, I won’t say that it’s bias or that it’s because you’re voting for friends.

I’ve made my case, and I trust the Jury to act.

Like I told MMM, “I don’t see a win for me as a personal win, but rather one for VSKS”
Much more is on the line than simply a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

So I ask the Jury, what do you think the game is about? Did it not include psychology, teamwork, complexity?

What does Uragiri really mean to you? Was it a false pretense…? Were we all trying to betray each other for personal gain, or did you see those beautiful moments when new friendships were established?

Seeing as several different strategies were used to get to the top 3, is it really fair to call one a win against the others?

That’s what this is truly about.
So here we are at last… down to just three. Hard to believe, right?

It’s interesting to note that we three weren’t the best RGR gamers, nor even the smartest.

Well then. We have heard all that the three remaining players have left to say.

Now then, it is up to you, the Jury, to send us off in the way that only you can.

You have a tough decision to make, and I do not expect it to be instantaneous. We have three very good candidates for the title of Sole Survivor, and they all made the best arguments they could for themselves.

But their time and part in this game is at a conclusion.

They can say no more, and they can give you no more reasons in their support.

The time for talk is over. All that matters now are your votes of approval.

Here's how this is going to work.

You will each cast a singular vote. To be sent to my PM Box.

Up until now, your votes were for who would be voted out.

This time, you are voting for who you think should be the winner of the game.

I cannot stress that enough. Do not accidentally vote for the person you think is the biggest loser. Do not vote for who you think should get second.

Your vote is to be cast for who you believe is the winner of Vizzed Survivor: Kanashi Shima. Again, to my PM Box.

Due to the nature of this vote, there is no set time limit, but sooner is better than later. I will PM you within 3-4 days if you have not made your vote yet. The game will conclude once I have everyone's votes. There will be a final update, and then we can lay out everything that happened on the table.

Thank you in advance for your dedication to this game, members of the Jury. We could not come to a decisive conclusion without your help.

Below is the video. It's over everyone, good work.

VIDEO HERE!

I'm not going to write much about the conclusion of the game, as the narrative has more or less been set, and I want to finish the game on this very positive note.

Anyone who watches the video knows who won, so I won't go on about that. It's done, they won, and the game is over.

Now, let's focus on a few minor awards from me, worth nothing more than pride.

Most Surprising Moment of the Season - megamanmaniac rattling off individual immunity wins left and right. It's entirely feasible that had he not been stuck with silverthundr, he could have kept winning immunity challenges.

Most Unlikely Individual Stage Contestant - deg2000. I'll be 100% honest, I never exepected deg to even make it to the Individual Stage, let alone the Final Three. His tribe was lousy, by and large, and I figured that he was good enough at the various games to merit being voted out early in the game.

Best Villain - silverthundr. I'm not going to explain why.

Best Tactician - sonicmcmuffin. I don't think you need to use many tactics to get by in Kanashi Shima, as I think by and large, the players more or less stuck to their guns. This could have gone to either sonicmcmuffin or EideticMemory. What tipped it in the former's favor was his decision to give a hidden immunity idol (he had 2 in his possession) to deg2000. I believe this move gave him the win. In large part because it prevented pacman1755, a likable member, from making it to the Final Three. EideticMemory essentially tanked the final challenge (he seems to have intentionally gotten last in one of the challenges, despite having shown the ability to finish above last) in order to force a tie with sonicmcmuffin for immunity. I'm not entirely sure what his gambit was here, but it wouldn't have made any difference, as sonicmcmuffin had two idols. He could have kept one for himself, and still given one to deg, once again, forcing pacman1755 out. There was literally no way that EideticMemory and pacman1755 could have made it to the finals. By managing his assets properly, and not letting too many people know he had one idol, let alone two, he was able to be the power player in the final stage of the game, effectively getting the people he wanted to the Finals. The game isn't just about being the best gamer.

Best Gamer - EideticMemory. Despite sonicmcmuffin's likely claims to the contrary, as he posted in his plea to the jury, I don't think sonicmcmuffin was the best gamer. He won his share of challenges, of course, but it's not just about winning the challenges, it is about showing progress, improvement, and above all, ability. I kept in contact with many people throughout the game. Most of these were people who placed high in challenges. I didn't just do this to find out how they were doing or what was going on with their voting strategy. I did this to properly gauge just how much effort they were putting into the games and whether or not they were tanking. EideticMemory intentionally flew under the radar for the majority of this competition, only really coming "alive" in the last few challenges. But many times, when he was called upon, he bailed out himself or his team in order to keep his tribe safe. An example of this is the Pokemon Pinball competition. sonicmcmuffin finished with the highest score, but not by much. EideticMemory made sure to score JUST enough to keep his team safe that night (which he succeeded at doing) while painting the picture that sonicmcmuffin was the bigger individual threat in the game. Of course, he had his struggles at times, like with the Spy Hunter and Ms. Pacman challenges. But all questions of his ability were laid to rest in the final immunity challenge, where he went from having no score at all, to winning two of the three challenges within 24 hours of starting. Had he wanted sole possession of first, I am convinced he could have gone on a megamanmaniac type run in the game. But given how soon megamanmaniac was voted out, it's arguable EideticMemory was the better player, to tone down his own skills to stay alive.

Most Valuable Player - sonicmcmuffin/EideticMemory. I can't choose between the two honestly. Both played the game as well as you could have possibly played it. If not for the Hidden Immunity Idols (which I will admit, are arbitrary and silly, ie - look at silverthundr's survival because of them) sonicmcmuffin loses one big advantage against EideticMemory. This game is about doing as much as you can with what you have, and while EideticMemory lacked the advantage of the idols, he was able to make up for it with good tactical play and great gaming prowess. The argument for sonicmcmuffin is easy enough as well, he's the actual winner of this game, and he did go out of his way to make sure he wasn't voted out. Idols or no idols, both made it to the end by keeping the other from being able to vote them out. And yes, both of them had their eyes on each other all game.

That's it for awards, but it's time to note some things that people asked throughout the game, an FAQ if you will.

First of all, regarding the hidden immunity idols, during the game, sonicmcmuffin expressed concern that one or both of his idols were fake, and they were useless. This is a fair concern, as one was awarded based on popular vote between competitors, and the other was found in the first post of this thread (it led to a Rick Roll link). To put this confusion to rest, both idols were legitimate. There were no fake idols awarded this game. A total of three were made. One was found by silverthundr, one was found by sonicmcmuffin, and one was given to sonicmcmuffin by players who followed instructions.

Second of all, regarding the prize Viz split. I have about 101k Viz for everyone total. The split will be as such. The winner will be awarded 50k Viz. Second place will be awarded 20k Viz. Third place will be awarded 10k Viz. 21k Viz will be split among the 7 jurors, for a total of 3k Viz each, for their co-operation.

Thirdly, I've been asked if there will be a second Vizzed Survivor. The answer is yes, but it won't be for at least a year and a half. I plan on cycling between Vizzed Survivor and Vizzed Camp. Vizzed Survivor focusing primarily on games and high scores, and Camp focusing primarily on subjective judging based competitions. I figure this is the fairest compromise for everyone involved, and will lead to more fresh competitions.

Fourth, I was also asked about the lore of Kanashi Shima. Which surprises me. It's not often I get asked about lore. Kanashi Shima, roughly translates out to "Sad Island", and is part of the Innocent Town universe that I have crafted in my head. Kanashi Shima is a big island located to the direct south east of the landmass known as Innocent Town or "Leggy Land". Kanashi Shima exists in our dimension, separate of the Not Dungeons and Dragons world of Leggy Land located in this forum. To put it simply, there are two worlds. The world that is home to reality and Kanashi Shima, and the world that is home to fantasy and Not Dungeons and Dragons. Kanashi Shima is only accessible by helicopter for most people, as it is too dangerous for a boat to pull up to the island, and there is no bridge connecting it to the land mass. For all intents and purposes, it is separated from the rest of Innocent Town society.

Fifth, and probably finally, unless more questions arise, I was asked whether Kanashi Shima would return in the future, and the answer is yes. It will be the home of Mafia 18, and I hope to actually talk about the lore of Kanashi Shima in more depth there. (A quick plug to remind you to sign up for it if you already haven't!)

Anyway, that's the end of this post. In a second post coming shortly after will be the game sheet that will have information about the entirety of the game. Scores for every game, who voted who, and other notes that you may or may not find interesting.

Thank you everyone, for playing Vizzed Survivor: Kanashi Shima.

Day 1 - Players will be divided into two tribes of 9. (Kengen and Hokori) Each tribe will be asked to vote for 2 people. The 3 people on each tribe with the most votes will be placed on the Kiga tribe. Following this, the first challenge will take place (Super Mario Bros. High Score Contest). Best tribe wins not only immunity, but a clue to the hidden immunity idol. Will be placed on Speed Leggy's profile.

Mid Day 1 - First Hidden Immunity Idol placed. Hint will be - "Never crashes, merely stops the car for some gas".

Post Day 1 - Worst tribe goes to tribal council (17 left), and gets dragonslayer444 in return. (18 left)

Day 2 - Second challenge will take place (Mario Kart Time Trial). Around half way through, eliminate slowest time on each team. Top team gets Idol Hint "When drunk, you shouldn't post, lest your true personality come out."

Post Day 2 - Slowest to Tribal (17 left)

Day 3 - Third Challenge will take place (Tetris High Score). Top team gets hint to the Idol. "I am the only person on all of Vizzed who can escape the mind of Leggy."

Post Day 3 - (16 left)/ Change of plans, following Mecha Leo's quitting fit, there are now (15 left)

Day 4 - Challenge (Mario Golf: Advance Tour 18 Hole Speed Golf) Tiebreaker will be stroke count.

Post Day 4 - Worst to Tribal (14 left)

NOTE - Kiga is down to two, and they will be split into Hokori and Kiga, until the merge.

Day 5 - Challenge (Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 High Score challenge)

Post Day 5 - Worst to Tribal (13 left)

Day 6 - Challenge (Pokemon Pinball) (Note - Galacta quit, so there's one less challenge. 12 left)

Post Day 6 - Worst to Tribal (11 left)

Day 7 - Challenge (Bubble Bobble High Score)

Post Day 7 - Worst to Tribal (10 left)

Day 8 - As there are 10 players in the game, the tribes, regardless of how many there are will be fused. Their name will be either Masayoshi, Uragiri or Yurushi, depending on whether or not Kiga survived to the merge (If Kiga - as a tribe - survives, they will take the name Masayoshi for Justice. If not, they will take the name Uragiri for Betrayal. UPDATE - As no matter what, Kiga has failed to make it to the merge, the tribe name will be URAGIRI. The tribal color will be orange.) As everyone is individual now... first challenge will be a (Spy Hunter High Score)

Post Day 8 - Players will be asked to vote one person out. This person will leave, and join the Final Tribal Council, to determine who wins the game. The rest of the Tribal Councils will follow this format (9 players remain)

NOTE - Hint for Hidden Idol will be dropped to top 5 placers,

"New Beginnings are always fun."

Day 9 - The players will be tasked with (Ms. Pacman High Score). The winner wins immunity.

Post Day 9 - After Tribal Council, 8 will remain.

Day 10 - Players will be put in teams of 2 for the challenge (Gradius III). Team with the highest score gets immunity for both of them.

Post Day 10 - Just as there were two winners, there will also be two people going home. There will be 6 players remaining.

Day 11 - Today, there'll be a trivia challenge, each player will be given the same question. They will answer via PM. Every correct answer will be awarded a point value. First to correctly answer gets a bonus point.

Post Day 11 - After Tribal, 5 will remain.

Day 12 - Word Challenge. It will be played similar to hangman. Players will take turns (order randomized) guessing words or phrases. The person who gets the word or phrase right first will win the point. 2 points win the game and immunity. During this challenge, players will be asked to PM me the name of the
person who they think deserves to win the game (besides themselves). The person with the most votes will be given a hidden immunity idol.

Post Day 12 - After Tribal, 4 will remain.

Day 13 - Triple Challenge. (Dig Dug High Score, Megaman High Score, Excitebike Speed Run). First place in each challenge gets 4, second gets 3, third gets 2, and last gets 1. Points will be added up. Highest wins. In the case of a tie, both players win Immunity.

Post Day 13 - After Tribal, 3 will remain.

Day 14 - There will be 3 players left in the game, they will be told their final challenge is to be judged by their peers. Each person on the final Tribal Council (7 in all) will be given 3 days to give each contestent one question to decide who they think should win. It can be totally different questions, or the exact same one. Once every question has been asked, the players will be allowed to answer, through the thread. No Immunity.

Post Day 14 - Once all the questions have been answered, the players on the Final Tribal Council will each vote for one player, of the three. The players on the Final Tribal Council will be told, that unlike in past votes, the person with the most votes wins. The player with the most votes wins the game.
In the event of a 3-3-1 tie (which is the only way for there to be a tie with 7 players) the player who voted for the 1, will be asked to decide between the two who won.

Day 15 - The game is over, and we celebrate!

14th Day Questions

Surgiac - (All) Why should I vote for the ones who voted me

out?
-----
pokemon x - (All) Why would you need to/like to win this game?
-----
yoshirulez! - (deg2000) Why should I vote for you, when there's clearly others who did better at pretty much all of the games?

(sonicmcmuffin) You did pretty bleh at some of the games, but others you were ok. I think if you tried, you could've done a little more though.

(EideticMemory) I rarely saw you doing something other than practicing at the games and trying to get a higher score. I like that.
-----
megamanmaniac - (EideticMemory) Why do you think you deserve to win this competition more than anyone else?

(sonicmcmuffin) Do you think that, being the strongest player remaining, your chances of winning are all but certain?

(pacman1755) What have you done in this competition that makes you stand out more than anyone else and should make me vote for you?

(deg2000) Do you believe that you have a chance to win at all? Why or why not?
-----
silverthundr - (All) I don't really care, and I'm not voting for anyone.

Replaced by supernerd117 due to lack of co-operation with finalization of game.

supernerd117 - (deg2000): What will you do with any rewards you receive at the end of this competition?

(EideticMemory): Would you bluff to try to win this competition? Why or why not? Make your response as detailed as possible, please, without making it too long.

(sonicmcmuffin): What does this competition mean to you? Be completely honest, and make sure it's your current feelings you're describing.

-----
Blubcreator - (sonicmcmuffin) Do you think you've done the best out of the remaining four so far?

(pacman1755) How do you think you could have done better in this competition? Or do you think you've done the best you could have?

(deg2000) Did you think you would make it this far? If so do you think you deserve to be here?

(EideticMemory) How hard would you say this competition was for you?
-----
pacman1755 - (All) How in any way have you proven to me that you deserve to win at this point?

-----

HOST QUESTION - (All) Why shouldn't the jury vote for the two people next to you?

-----

Yeah, sorry, haha.

I more or less copy pasted my results sheet, and it appears I kept you guys in summon format on the sheet for the majority of the competition. Wish there was a way to limit summon notifications.

legacyme3 : Congratulations I'm glad this project worked out, Shame a few people dropped out but at least it didn't have as many people quitting as the Vizzed camp did, Thanks for giving me something to passively do in the last 4 months i appreciate it.

Can i take this idol home with me?

EideticMemory : I guess miracles do happen.... Congrats on 2nd

My thoughts on votes

supernerd117 : sonicmcmuffin- Thanks amigo, I appreciate it
yoshirulez! : EideticMemory - This was the most obvious of obvious votes
pokemon x : sonicmcmuffin - Honestly expected you to vote for me, call it a gut feeling
megamanmaniac : EideticMemory - Thought you'd vote for the player that seemed the cleverest, probably right
Surgiac : sonicmcmuffin - I honestly have no idea what made you vote me over EM
Blubcreator : sonicmcmuffin - Thanks, Honestly i thought all the way through the comp it was you giving me those random votes
pacman1755 : EideticMemory - Knew this would happen

Cause: I get way too busy in real life (which is something I DETEST to admit) and have to back out of the competition.

Effect: Everyone hates me... GREAT :3

So congratulations blah blah blah and I probably won't get involved in the next competition.

And yes... I did bring cake

sonicmcmuffin : Hey, congrats on the win. Even though you stabbed me in the back tho.

But really, I'm just glad I made the Final Four. GG everyone

sonicmcmuffin :

Grats on the win!

While I admit the fact they both voted for me previously had a little something to do with it, the main reason was your post. It convinced me you were the best of the 3 remaining people.

Having said that.......

I lost thanks to a stupid dollar bill.....

A dollar bill....

Surgiac :

It could have been worse.

You could have been put on Kiga and been in danger every single night thanks to the result of a flip of paper

Or been screwed like pacman was at the end because he was the only person without immunity or a hidden idol

Too true. I am thankful for that. At least the dollar bill was a bit heavier.
