The newest game in the Metal Gear series is currently in development. The game, titled Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is expected to be released sometime in 2014 and will be for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

zanderlex : well the series is very well done i beat the first nes vershion the 2nd one for xbox and also twin snakes the increadibley done remake of the nes version and metal gear 4 once again the series is increadible mix of action and somtimes puzzle *cough*substance*cough*

So many things are wrong with the post above this one that I can't breathe while reading it.

I can't wait for Phantom Pain, it really is too bad we'll have to wait until 2015 for it, but it'll definitely be worth it after grabbing a taste of it in Ground Zeroes. It's gonna be a wild ride.

I'm in love with the open world style, the ability to pop out of the cardboard box, and how you're buddying up with Ocelot, torturing Huey, and raising child soldiers.

Just a wonderful game to come.
