Which Windows, silly? XD

I personally prefer Windows 7. Windows 10 is great and all, but when I first got it, it had this weird buzzing noise that it made from time to time, and it was very annoying. It stopped now, but it was very, very annoying.

For me, Its probably Windows 7. I used it for a long time and it kinda grew on me. I use Windows 10, and the reason why I haven't just installed Windows 7 on this laptop is because  1. The Wi-Fi module doesn't have drivers for Windows 7, and 2. Because Wndows 10 supports DX12, and that lets me play my Wii games in HD, which is just freaking amazing.

Barathemos : You shouldn't have to open Internet Explorer ever unless you're using it to download other browsers I think it's great that Microsoft decided to make Windows 10 free for a limited time. But I'm getting tired of a box popping up on my screen almost every day telling me to upgrade.

austipokedude : My mom had Windows Vista on her first laptop. I agree that it's decent and its layout is very similar to Windows 7. I think Vista is one of the lesser known computer OS's.

I currently use Windows 8.1, and it's far exceeded my expectations considering all the flak that it and Windows 8 get. It's one of the most user-friendly and stable OSes I've used for a long time. It also helps that it's a far more powerful computer than anything that I've ever used before this one

Also, the "no classic start menu!!!" issue can be fixed easily with a program called Classic Shell.

I've been considering upgrading to Windows 10, but the main thing that keeps me from doing it is the fact that I have no real reason to upgrade. Windows 10 offers absolutely nothing to entice me that Windows 8.1 is especially lacking in, and I've heard quite a lot of bad things about it.

Even though I like XP as well, I must say my favorite is Windows 7. I had it for about 5 years before they forced the Windows 10 upgrade on me.

In my opinion, Windows 10 is probably my favorite out of the ones I used. Windows 7 was going to be my favorite but that was when my Windows 10 kept making this dumb buzzing noise, but it seems to have stopped ever since I got this new computer so woo!

Windows 7 is badass. I love it more than anything I've tried. Then again I don't have any other OS besides Linux Mint which was good I guess. I kinda want to try windows 10, but at the same time I'm not sure I want to stray from Windows 7. At one point I'll have to though for the sheer fact that modern computers don't run windows 7. Though if I built my own, it would have windows 7.

I've used Windows XP for a loooong time. In fact, it used to be the only OP I've used until fairly recently. But now I use WIndows 8.1

I must say, while I did enjoy using Windows XP, Windows 8.1 has some features that I really enjoy. Like being able to use the snipping tool instead of screenshotting the whole page then cropping. And the fact that more programs support Windows 8.1 than XP so yay more programs. I haven't had as much experience with much other OPs. Windows 7 and 10 are functional at least but Windows 7 (at least on the school computers) seem to always take forever to login and Windows 10 has the automatic update thing which I am not a fan of at all. The update Windows 10 pop up is also pretty annoying.

It depends on my purposes.

Windows 2000 for stability,Windows XP pro for general everyday computing. When I used to do tech support,Windows 2000 was great for being very stable,but not so great for upgrades and such. Windows XP pro was a solid jack of all trades,easy to use and did not bombard you with messages to update every 3 days. My first system was Windows 98,complete with the screen shot of "It is now safe to turn off your computer."

Vista does have its issues,but it is not as bad as people make it out to be. The only OS that is universally hated is the dreaded Windows ME. That OS was a rushed product and it was a pain in the butt to use and service.

As for Windows 8.1,I just go straight to desktop and that takes care of most of my needs.

I'm going to have to go with Windows XP. I used it for years on end and it was always extremely reliable and very easy to use. I'm currently running Vista still (so retro, I know lol), and that tied with 7 would be my second choice. I haven't tried anything beyond those (though I have ran older systems) and I'm not so sure I like where things have gone from what I've heard,

Chart : I was shocked and frustrated to find out that Windows 10 automatically installs on your computer if you don't stop it from doing so. Thankfully I figured out how to stop the update, but unfortunately my mom didn't and now her laptop has Windows 10. :/

ZeroTails : Windows XP used to be the only operating system I used for a while too, but then I used Windows 7 a lot more since my school had it on all of their computers. And now it's been my computer's OS for quite a while Sometimes I miss Windows XP though, I liked its simplicity and I fooled around with Microsoft Sam on it which I can't do now. XD

Mynamescox44 : I see why you tied Windows Vista with Windows 7, they're very similar from what I've seen! I have used Windows Vista once before on the laptop that my mom used to use.

I always use Windows 7, I hate the Windows 8 layout and I'm completely turned off from Windows 10 because it's a free upgrade. Also it doesn't have Xbox menus in it, which were annoying on my 360 in the first place, why would I want them on my computer to?
I also really like the aesthetic design, it's sleek but still highly functional, I would probably get a Mac if I could afford one though.

pennylessz : The free upgrade made me lose interest in Windows 10 too, especially since it's automatic if you don't cancel it. I think Microsoft is trying to hard to make people switch to Windows 10 and it isn't working it seems like.

I also really like the design of Windows 7, it's the main thing that motivated me to learn more about how to use it

Trust me,Pacman,that was an absolutely horrible OS. That is an OS you would not wish on anyone. Microsoft ME was a rushed product and it showed.

If I had the choice between Windows 98 and ME,I will take 98. ME is like a black sheep of the Microsoft family.

Oldschool777 : Oh, I wouldn't want that kind of OS, I wouldn't have even wanted to be a beta tester XD I'd take Windows 98 too.

People talk crap about Vista and while it does deserve some of the crap,it is not as bad as ME. Most peripherals don't even support it. While 98 is supported by most equipment.
