I am not satisfied with most of these posts at all. It seems most of you guys have been told the same pack of lies that most kids are told in school by the fascist, opal ring, purity people. "Rock n Roll will make you a terrorist, sex turns you into a beast that must suck the blood of the innocent, and pot is as evil as meth!!!!". Well I hate to tell yea, that is all a lie! Pot is less addictive than sugar, and caffeine and has less negative effects. I have heard people say "my friend smoked pot and me lost his mind!" (or some non since like that), well my rebuttal to that is your friend didn't have much of a mind to start with then. Pot (unaltered) is clean and a very useful thing.

Now on to the question, I have done pot (alot) when I was young, when my daughter was born I stopped because I didn't have the time or money any more to do it. You know what the funny thing is, I stopped smoking that with out any problems, I am still trying to stop smoking cigs, I have now moved on to chewing tobacco.

I would smoke it.
It takes you on a relaxing adventure (well kind of) with little side effects if you are responsible with the amount you take.

Besides in my country weed is legal if you can get a prescription for it so that kinda proves that it is beneficial when used correctly.

Maybe not to anyone you know,  but every human brain and body is different and will react differently to drugs, Yes it probably was my best friends fault for smoking it too much but to assume he didn't have much of a mind to begin with is sickening,,,,,

Herpy Dooves : It does have some negative side effects and smoking anything is not good for you. If it has messed up his mind he was doing other stuff than just smoking pot. He was ether smoking something with chemicals or fillers in it or using real drugs. I am not trying to insult your friend in any way but it seems that an almost harmless little plant is the scapegoat for everyone's problems. My mind is like mashed potatoes but it is no ones or nothings fault but some bad wiring.

Edit- I just remembered a story I would like to share with you. In high school I hung around with this guy,  he was good friends with his pot dealer. Well his dealer told him how he makes extra money. the guy said that he (and many more dudes) were putting bones jones and other fake pot and bath salts in there stuff and selling it to people. That fake pot stuff is nothing but poison, it melts holes in your head and every organ you got. The guy was a real scumbag (but what business's not?). Yep, there is my story for the day.

I mean, it's not like the legalization of weed is gonna force me to blaze it day in and day out. 

I'd probably try it. I'm not one for addiction, so I can't really picture myself being obsessed or anything. 

GenesisJunkie : For the most part I agree with you. The crap we get fed in high school is the worst (trust me I'm still experiencing it). There's this social stigma around weed that it turns you into some kind of demon, and I think that's garbage. But still, there are some people out there not suited for any drugs whatsoever (including alcohol). So maybe saying that pot doesn't affect anyone is just too general a statement.

I would never do weed or any drug, even if they were legal. I'm even of legal age to drink and I refuse to even do that. I would never harm my body in any shape or form with any of that stuff. I don't even smoke for that matter.

The only instance in which I would do weed if I were told to do it by my doctor for health purposes.

Do you believe everything the government says? The reason weed is illegal has nothing to do with it being dangerous, it's illegal because it ruins numerous industries like pharmaceuticals, oil, timber, tobacco, ect. as Marijuana and it's variant hemp is a very versatile plant, and Nixon (An idiot president who is notorious for the Watergate scandal saw into this.) Started the war on drugs. Yeah, I went off topic, but even if it was legal, nothing would change as I'm already on it, but not addicted at all.

No, I would never do it. I never have and I never will. It becoming legal doesn't make a difference to me. 

Weed isn't completely illegal, technically I guess. I'm not sure where your'e from but in the state I live in you can get a medical card for chronic pain symptoms (I have one myself) and smoke weed within your home. I don't necessarily do it every day, but its pretty close, and I think some people are giving it too much bad hype. When compared to Alcoholism or cigarette use, marijuana use is relatively healthy, and should not be viewed with the stigma that it receives. But this is just me, and everyone is entitled to their opinion :p

So many stupid misconceptions.

1. It isnt really a drug, there's no adulterants or additives, just the raw THC growing naturally in the plant.

2. You can't get addicted. It has no addicting factors to it. If you do you're just stupid.

3. Its medicinal uses outpour its recreational. Who knows what it could fix.

4. It being a gateway drug is not proven, nor is it plausible. If you had intentions of going harder on illegals, its your own fault, not some plant.

5. It is not only more healthy than cigarettes or alcohol, it has also never had any deaths from overdoses, just vomiting.

6. It being illegal doesnt make it bad. Alcohol is tons of times worse and its legal now.

7. If it became legal, it would certainly remove a lot of the crime associated with trafficking it, and all those "bad@sses" who use it for the sake of it being illegal would really remove the whole rebel light it has.

8. Some dealers water down their stuff with a lot of bad things, that doesnt mean all pot has bad things. And it being legal would xlean that area up.

I would never touch cigarettes, alcohol, or any drug, but I'd enjoy some weed from time to time.

The legalization of weed is actually the constant topic of conversation over here where I live. I've smoked weed a couple of times and to be honest it wasn't really my thing. I wouldn't mind if weed was legalized in here as long as it doesn't hit a trend status. It's already disgusting to see young kids with fags in one hand and a beer in the other and it would be horrible if weed further enhanced the image of drugs among teens.

Never smoked it but it is fact that weed is not harmful at all to your body yet cigarettes that cause cancer and alcohol that can cause a lot of mayhem are legal so some people really should get  a reality check in this thread.

Awesome-Kid : It's legal here so i have the choice but NO, I would never man NEVER It's not as bad as people say but it's also not good. I wan't to be in good shape and i don't want to be addicted to something that stinks lol.... Also i had pneumonia

no i would never do weed because i am an extreme sports person and i even play rep soccer so i have to keep my health and body in top shape so nothing that will negativly affect my body is entering, well except junk food (dont judge me). even if i didnt play sports i would probably still not do weed cause i love my life and i dont need nothing messing it up even if the rumors and stuff are fake.

Well assuming I was of a legal age to smoke it no.
Mainly because I don't want to ever start smoking because of the damage it has on your lungs and because I don't see any point in it.
Although I have to admit it would be tempting just to try once to have the experience but it's probably better that I don't

Probably not.
Not because of all the dangers, because I am scared to get addicted to it. I would give it a try, but my scare would be too big for that.
And it probably would be way too expensive for me, not that I know anything about that kind of stuff.

So many people saying wrong things.

It is NOT addictive.
It only has dangers if you are not fully grown.
It is not really a drug. It has no negative side effects except increased hunger and metabolism.
It hardly does lung damage, not noticeable, and if that were an issue, its an herb. You can very easily mould it into your foods. Lollipops and brownies are the most popular types of weed foods.
It has never once killed a person.
The worst that can happen is you get greedy and smoke too much at once, and you throw up a bit.


Its plain and simple an herb with both medicinal and fun purposes, it isnt "The Devil's Lettuce" or anything like that.

People need education on a subject before hating on something and thinking its this monsterous evil drug.
