I never really felt the will to date until I was 13, and at that it was a few days before I turned 14, so it doesnt really count. My mom never really told me when I can or can't, so it wasnt an issue to me.

I could date when ever I wanted to. I didn't really start trying in till I was in high school though. I don't think I will let my daughter date at all! I know that is a little crazy, I will kinda have to let her date something another but the kids are so crazy these days.

My mom never really set an age limit for me but if I want to date I'm almost 100 percent sure she would let me as she's never been very strict about it. In fact sometimes it feels like she encourages me to date people since she sometimes asks if there's any girls I like lol. I'm probably the only guy in my class who doesn't care too much about dating all the other people in my class seem to really want to get a girlfriend. Myself I don't want to rush into it.

Unfortunately, when I was growing up, my mother was a little bit psycho. She insisted on 'approving' each and every one of my friends, and the idea of dating was such an ordeal that I didn't even bother until I was 17 and grew the balls to stop letting her micromanage my life.

I don't have a set specific date in which I can date someone, but I prefer to decide that for myself. Unfortunately for me, everyone in my high school is ugly, so I think that is going to be much later until I finally decide to get serious. There isn't a set age in which I am allowed to date, but I just haven't seen anyone that is really my type. I am probably going to wait until high school is over before I let a silly relationship to get in the way...otherwise I would be too distracted and I wouldn't be able to focus on my work... 

Razor-987 : If you start dating now with relationships you don't take seriously, you'll get some practice and be confident and comfortable when you get to the next level.  Now is a perfect time to practice dating so you're good at it when it matters.

I did actually have someone in mind at age 10 though. Just cause I liked her as a person I wanted her to be mine, although I had almost no idea of the concept of marriage at age 10. It always annoyed me how growing up people always wanted to know if I liked anyone. I didn't care, it wasn't a big deal to me, and I wasn't interested in being the topic of gossip for some old birds. Unfortunately I never knew anyone since I lost contact with that one girl after I turned 14. I await until I find someone I like before I worry about any of that. Till then, I'll keep my eyes open.

But, I'm probably not going to "date" so much, if I'g going to get to know someone, it can be around others and their supervision.

I just wish I knew someone offline who I actually liked. And I'm not interested in a "girlfriend"
I was told to "get a friend who's a girl". That sounds like a plan to me.

Razor-987 : warmaker is completely right. I'm 22 and I don't have very much dating practice at all, so it's led to more than a few failed relationships in the past couple of years.

For my parents, I think it was about when I was at the age of 13 my parents let me loose to date other girls on my own. I dont think they really cared when I started but they trusted me at a young age because they knew I wouldn't do really anything. 

I never had a set age because my parents always asked if I liked any girls and I liked many girls when I was 8 but, we only had playdates(don't Know if that counts as a date though lol). I didnt start really dating until i was 11 and had someone at school I liked but we broke up. I have had 4 different girlfriends that i have broke up with sense. I have been dating a friend for atleast a year now and i think its working out fine for now.

I was allowed to date once I was in middle school. I didn't, of course, given my social skills at the time. But that's when I was first allowed to.

I don't know what age my parents set it to, but if I were to guess, I'd say around the age of 23. They're strict on dating, but I'm fine with it, since I don't have a liking to anyone, yet.

My parents didn't really tell me when I could date cause I never brought it up or talked about dating a guy. But my dad would always tell me not to date any guys or else he would kill them. He always seemed so serious when ever he mentioned it. I never mentioned any guys to my parents cause of my dad. I think I started dating around 13 years old ? It was nothing serious it was just puppy love at the time.
