Welp, 5 hours to liftoff! I want to take this time to link a prayer guide our team has set up, for the Christians among us to use if they so desire.

The 8-member team leaves on Friday February 28th for Haiti. With Reciprocal Ministries International Prayer Guide for Creekside’s Haiti Trip (February 28 – March 7, 2014)
(RMI) staff members helping, the team will take part in several efforts to encourage the Baradères Church, and participate in a number of ministry/teaching/ outreach activities with people from the Baradères Church. The Team members include: Wes Breeden, Brenda Chamberlain, Don Forrester, David Horner, George Lebo Jr., Rebecca Lebo, David Sproule, and Drew Sproule. During the time that the Haiti team is on this trip, please use the following daily guide to pray for them and for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Baradères. Please also pray … ? that both churches will be encouraged and built up by being aware of the global Body of Christ, ? that the Gospel will be shared with many people, ? that we would see signs that Creekside’s relationship with the Baradères Church is growing, ? that we would make a strong connection with Pastor Oreste and his family, ? that the team would be able to listen to the heart-felt needs of the people in Baradères, ? that the teaching program to the youth of the church would be challenging and helpful, and ? that the team members would grow in their relationship with the Lord and get a greater understanding of God’s heart for the poor and our role in responding properly to their needs.

Friday, February 28th
The team will fly out of Gainesville at 6:20 AM and arrive in Port-au-Prince, Haiti at 1:55 PM. RMI staff will meet them at the airport and load their baggage into a small bus. The team will then be driven to Zanglais in southern Haiti, where they will spend the night. The bus trip will take about 5 hours. Pray for safe travel, that all of their luggage will arrive in good shape, and that there will be no problems going through Haitian customs. Pray especially for the three people who are visiting Haiti for the first time as they experience and process in their hearts the condition of the people and the extreme poverty.

Saturday, March 1st
In the morning the team will have devotions together and meet with RMI staff to finalize plans and organize and repack supplies for the trip to Baradères. After lunch they will make the 3-hour drive to Baradères in 4-wheel drive vehicles. Pray for the team's health and for their safety traveling over the rough mountain roads. After arrival in Baradères the team will meet with Pastor Oreste, his family, and other church members to discuss plans for the next several days. Pray for the team members, that they will be able to use the Haitian Creole language to some degree as they meet and greet people in Baradères, and that they will adjust to Haitian food and the
climate without any serious problems.

Sunday, March 2rd
In the morning the team will attend the Baradères church. Each member will give greetings and share a little about themselves, their families, their occupations, and their faith. During the service, the team will sing several songs, some in Creole and some in English. Pray for David Sproule as he brings the morning message. In the afternoon, team members along with several of the Baradères church members will visit homes of
some of the sponsored children and homes where there are sick people and shut-ins. In the evening, the team members will take part in an evangelistic open-air service in the Baradères town square. Pray for Rebecca Lebo and Drew Sproule who will give their personal testimonies during this service and Wes Breeden as he brings a gospel message. Pray that the message will be well received and that many people will respond to the gospel and come to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior and believers will be encouraged in their faith.

Monday, March 3rd
In the morning Wes Breeden will meet with the youth of the Baraderès Church and make a presentation about living for Christ in their everyday lives. After Wes’ talk, the team will meet with the school children and have a program with them. In the afternoon, Brenda Chamberlain and Rebecca Lebo will take part in a special tea party for the women of the church. Pray for Brenda as she gives a devotional for the women. Later the team will meet with several church leaders and discuss the success and future plans for the eye glass ministry/outreach. In the evening the team will have dinner with the Pastor and the Baradères Church deacons. After dinner the team and the deacons will meet to share highlights of the various ministry activities of both our two churches. Pray for Wes as he gives a report on Creekside. Pray for the bilingual
RMI staff that will assist with language interpretation and in many other ways during these
activities. They’ll be very busy.

Tuesday, March 4th
In the morning the team will take a boat ride to a fishing village (Gran Boukan) across the bay from Baradères. They will meet with Pastor Pergeuns and his wife and Wes will make a presentation to the youth of the church there. This is a small church that the Baradères Church has planted. Pray for the safety of the team members as they cross the bay and return. Later in the day the team will return to Baradères. In the evening the team will participate in a farewell church service and each team member will give comments. Pray for David Horner as he gives a message of encouragement from the scriptures.

Wednesday, March 5th
After breakfast, the team will take part in some visitation and street evangelism along with members of the church.
After lunch they will leave Baradères and drive to the Mission Center at Les Cayes. On the way they will stop at the MEBSH mission hospital (Lopital Limyè) at Bon Fin and leave medicine and supplies that they brought with them especially for the hospital. They will eventually arrive at Zanglais where they will spend the night.

Thursday, March 6th
The team will be in Zanglais (which is located 40 kilometers east of the city of Les Cayes) today and have some R & R. During the evening group devotions, the team members will share their experiences and reflect on what God has taught them.

Friday, March 7th
The team will leave Zanglais early in the morning to go to Port-au-Prince by bus, and eventually fly to Miami and Gainesville, arriving at around 8:30 PM. Ask the Lord to give them safe travel. Thank the Lord for the Christians in the Baradères Church and for the RMI missionaries and their Haitian staff, for their loving care of the team members during this trip. Thank the Lord also for the funds that a number of people from Creekside provided to make the trip possible.
Thanks for supporting the Haiti team in prayer. It is very much appreciated.

Thanks from me to you, guys, for all our support! I'll be sure to let you know how it goes back!
