Any OX script like that adds exceptions in your firewall which is unnecessary to perform the task at hand and hence is suspect and open to questioning.

There is other information that could be told but that is up to Davideo if he wishes to share it.
Basically the guy has underhanded buisness tactics and does alot of stuff against the EULAs of the emulators creators...

axkick: I'll give you 3 reasons why he isn't a good guy.

1. He was using an emulator on his site that he stole and didn't have the license to use and the creator of the emulator asked him to remove it and he refused to remove it. Eventually the creator of that emulator had to contact his host and his host forced him to take it down.

2. He charges you money if you want to use his ArcadeOX on your own site. This I have no problem with but the fact that he's using emulators other people used and making profit off of those emulators without the permission of the people who created those emulators it's pretty dirty.

3. He only adds stuff to his site if he's paid to do it, that kinda shows he's only in it for the money (and he already makes tons off ads so I don't see why he has to charge money to have more stuff added to his site).

Like I said, I've worked with him before with interest in using his ArcadeOX on my own site and he was just plain rude the whole time and completely trying to take advantage of my money and he blackmailed me. Other than that though, he has a nice site.

So he was using stolen emulators? Assuming that's true did you know this before or after you wanted to use his emulator for your site? If after then how did you hear about it?
Only you and him know what happened between you but this sounds like spiteful trash talking after a deal gone bad. Btw I never saw an emulator offline on retrouprising.com since I started going there, when did this happen?

I don't know why people are so upset about the donation thing. Last time I checked they add new systems with donations. All the current systems work fine(including Genesis) and I can't think of any options that are missing. Can you really blame them for trying to get some money for thier time and effort? If people don't wanna donate they don't have to. I'm able to play all the systems even without signing up, that seems like a good deal to me.

If you're saying all this mainly because they compete with your site I understand, just be honest about it.

TheSmartAss.info is another competition and I respect the hell out of the owner of that site, so it has nothing to do with competition. Basically I asked how much it'd cost to use ArcadeOX on my own site and I didn't realize that he didn't charge for ArcadeOX but instead charged to use the emulators that ArcadeOX emulates in which those emulators he doesn't own the rights to charge for. But like I said, before he was using an emulator he didn't have the rights to use.

So it's a he said she said situation? Sorry but that's not very damning evidence. Maybe Romain is lieing, ever consider that side of it? Seems to me if Romain had a legit complaint then Retrouprising wouldn't have it's emulators still up and running. I think there's more to this than your source is letting on.

Like I said, this isn't something I want to waste time arguing about, you can believe what you want and there's no way I can convince you otherwise and it seems you just came here to argue. I recently survived a head on collision car accident (as seen here) and I'm still recovery and anything that will cause me stress the doctor said to avoid at all costs. End of discussion, sorry.

I really didn't. I was just trying to figure out why your story didn't match my experiences. Either way we're not gonna change any minds with this so it is kinda pointless. Thanks for being so understanding. I'll drop this and check out other parts of the forum.
