You both decided to see one another.

Hidden Phantom : You did not make a choice. Since you are not inactive, a choice has been randomly selected for you.

Wire Man runs towards the others and notices Luna Man and Zan'ei Man running towards him.

Wire Man: "Hey Luna Man. I found a door."

Luna Man: "You did? Why didn't you go in then? It could've led to the Inner Sector!"

Wire Man: "Do you really think I'd go in there alone?"

Zan'ei Man: "He does have a point. There's no reason for him to go alone."

Luna Man: "Fine. We'll go in together."

You all return to the door and open it. You step inside and look all around. To your right, you see a staircase that leads up to what you believe is a second floor. To your left is a light bulb shining on the wall. And in the middle, you see a robot tied up with it's mouth taped shut. You free the robot and he thanks you.

Unknown Robot: "Thanks a lot. Those two gambling robots did this to me after I lost to them in Card Gambling. They took most of my screws and tied me up in here."

Luna Man: "Who are you?"

Cannon Man: "I'm Cannon Man. Nice to meet you."

Wire Man: "What are you doing here anyway?"

Cannon Man: "I'm a new recruit. I'm trying to get into the Inner Sector, so I played Card Gambling with those two robots that were outside."

Wire Man: "You mean Positive Man and Negative Man?"

Cannon Man: "Yup. I played them in Card Gambling to try and get info on how to get into the Inner Sector, but I lost. That game's rigged you know."

Zan'ei Man: "How does that game work?"

Cannon Man: "Well this is what they told me..."

Flashback Begins

Positive Man: "So ya gon play us? Bagagagaga, how good. How much ya gon bet?"

Cannon Man: "Why am I betting? I just want info!"

Negative Man: "Alright then, no fee. If you win, we'll tell you what we know. But if you lose..."

Positive Man: "You'll find out when ya lose. No need to tell ya."

Cannon Man: "I know I can win! But how do I play?"

Negative Man: "Fair enough. I have 5 cards in my hand. Each card has a number from 1 to 6. So one number will not be on a card. All you have to do is correctly guess which number is missing."

Cannon Man: "Well that sounds easy enough."

Positive Man: "Ya really think so? Bagagagaga."

Negative Man: "Well it's more complicated than you think. After you choose a number, you have to choose from one of 6 decks. If you choose the correct deck with the missing number, then you win!"

Cannon Man: "Why do you need 6 decks?"

Positive Man: "It wouldn't be gambling if it was easy, would it?"

Negative Man: "So now we play. Pick any number from one to six."

Cannon Man: "THREE!"

Positive Man: "Now choose a deck."

Cannon Man: "FOUR!"

Negative Man: "Rookie's luck. You got it right. So I'll give you a hint for that riddle over there. Light and darkness are not to be taken lightly. They mean a lot more than you'll ever know."

Cannon Man: "What kind of hint is that?"

Negative Man: "Win again and we'll tell you more."

Cannon Man: "Fine. I choose the number three again from deck four."

Negative Man: "WRONG!"

Cannon Man: "What? How could it be wrong?"

Positive Man: "We rearrange decks every game."

Negative Man: "If we didn't, this game would be way too easy. You lost...so it's time for your punishment."

Flashback Ends

Luna Man: "So that's how you ended up here..."

Wire Man: "Well if you're a new recruit, then why not work with us?"

Cannon Man: "How do I know I can trust you? For all I know you could be spies."

Wire Man unties Cannon Man.

Wire Man: "See? We're friendly."

Cannon Man: "Just because you untied me doesn't mean that we are comrades."

Luna Man: "Just forget this weakling. Lets get out of here. Leave him be."

Cannon Man: "Weakling? How dare you call me a weakling. I will be the strongest robot one day."

Luna Man: "I'm sure you will..."

Zan'ei Man: "That hint you gave us...it may come in handy..."

Cannon Man: "Hint? They didn't really say anything important..."

Luna Man: "Hey Cannon Man. Where do those stairs lead to?"

Cannon Man: "They lead to the upper floors where the humans do their work. Theres an elevator down that hall up there to get to the scientists. But we have no need to go up there. They'll probably just tell us to go away."

Wire Man: "Elevator..."

- You can go back to the mini waterfall and reexamine the riddle
- You can go to the wall that the light is shining on and see if anything happens

One of you have chosen to solve the riddle. The other has chosen to inform the others about the insignia.

Vanish Woman quickly returns to the mini waterfall to inform the others about the insignia, only to find that the only one there is Zanbato Man.

Vanish Woman: "Zanbato Man! Come look at this insignia on the ceiling."

Zanbato Man: "Ok. I'm coming."

Both of you walk to where Vanish Woman originally stood.

Vanish Woman: "Look up there. What do you see?"

Zanbato Man: "I see...light...completely surrounded by darkness..."

Vanish Woman: "This seems to be the only spot where you can see the light. It's kind of strange."

Zanbato Man: "So? We don't have time to worry about that thing. We need to get into the Inner Sector.

Vanish Woman: "Yeah I know. I've been thinking about this for a while, but do you think that this has anything to do with the building?"

Zanbato Man: "I'm not too sure. Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with the building."

Vanish Woman: "But what in the world could it mean? And how could we follow it?"

Zanbato Man: "I have no idea. But if we want to get into the Inner Sector, then we have to find out."

Vanish Man: "Well do you have any idea how to solve the riddle?"

Zanbato Man: "Well...maybe it has something to do with Mega Man."

Vanish Woman: "Why do you say that?"

Zanbato Man: "Well...it says to follow...and who else could we follow? Maybe the answer to the riddle is to follow Mega Man."

Vanish Woman: "I see where you're getting at. Lets tell the others. Speaking of the others...where's Wire Man, Luna Man, and Zan'ei Man? I think they should be aware of this insignia and your solution to the riddle."

Zanbato Man: "They went to open that door over there. Maybe they found a clue in there."

Vanish Woman: "Should we go check on them?"

You can choose to do one of the following:
- You can find the other robots and talk to them
- You can look at the insignia longer and try to come up with a conclusion (please post your conclusion in your post)
- You can return to the waterfall and reexamine the riddle
- You can go to the mini shop

That insignia still puzzles me... but for now, I shall go talk with the others. Perhaps a fresh perspective will shed light on this situation.

I choose to go find and talk to the other robots because they might have helpful clues.

"Other scientists huh. I guess I'm going to talk to them to see what they have to say. They'll think twice if they tell me to bug off"

Before I make the next update, I'm going to get this out of the way. If a user fails to post just one post in the four day limit that I have, whether it be that they are inactive or they are active and just decide not to post, then instead of trying to constantly remind them or delay the progression of this adventure, I'm simply going to stop summoning them. Furthermore, the robot that they created will be powered down and cannot be used again unless the user sends me a PM within a week after their robot is powered down telling me that they want to rejoin the adventure. Should a week pass after the robot is powered down, the robot will be destroyed and the user will have to make a new one in order to participate in this RP.

Vanish Woman: "I guess I'll find the others then."

Vanish Woman walks towards Wire Man and Luna Man. She spots two robots lying stone cold, then realizes that Zanbato Man was lying the same way under the insignia.

Vanish Woman: "What happened to these three?"

Wire Man: "I don't know. All of a sudden they collapsed."

Luna Man: "They were probably just too weak to handle that riddle."

Wire Man: "This other robot called Cannon Man gave us a hint not too long ago. He told us that those two robots I met earlier told him that light and darkness matter a lot. I don't really get what it means...but I'm sure it will help."

Vanish Woman: "Light and darkness...what if the answer to the riddle was both light and darkness?"

Wire Man: "Hmm...well I understand how shadows mimic others...but how does light for in? Furthermore, how do we follow both?"

Vanish Woman: "I'm not sure...hey...where'd Luna Man go?"

Luna Man shouts towards you two from the elevator up the stairs.

Luna Man: "Hey guys. I found a note."

Luna Man sprints back down the stairs and holds a note in his hand.

Luna Man: "The elevator is out of order, but I found this note. It says 'Ground Opening Tremors Occasionally Summon Humorously Odd Practices.' This is a pretty weird note."

Vanish Woman: "It looks like a code to me."

Wire Man: "Hmm...G...O...T...O...S..."

Vanish Woman: "So that's what this note says..."

Luna Man: "So what should we do?"

You can choose to do one of the following:
- You can return to the insignia
- You can go back up the stairs
- You can go to the minishop
- You can go to the wall that the light is shining on
- You can return to the mini waterfall

The first letter of each word spells out GO TO SHOP. I shall go to the shop then. I'm sure we'll find something there.

You all decided to go to the shop.

Vanish Woman: "I guess we know what he have to do."

You all walk towards the shop, when you see Zanbato Man getting back up.

Wire Man: "Zanbato Man? What happened to you?"

Zanbato Man: "I don't remember. I remember looking at that mini waterfall but everything after that is blurry."

Luna Man: "Haha how lame..."

Zanbato Man: "...why you..."

Vanish Woman: "Anyway...we found this note. There's a hidden message that says GO TO SHOP. So that's where we are going now."

Zanbato Man: "Very well then."

You all continue towards the shop and see the shopkeeper.

Shopkeeper: "Hello. How may I help you?"

Vanish Woman: "We would like to know how to get to the Inner Sector."

Shopkeeper: "Ok. To get to the Inner Sector, you must...solve the riddle."

Luna Man: "We already know that! But what's the answer?"

Shopkeeper: "Oh you want the answer? Very well. The answer is the correct response to the question. When given something to solve, the ans-"

Luna Man: "Cut the crap already. How do we find the answer?"

Wire Man: "Relax, Luna Man."

Shopkeeper: "Well what is the riddle?"

Vanish Woman: "If I remember correctly it said: As the day breaks out, I grow longer,
As the night approaches, I grow stronger,
My power is in the mimicry of others,
I can mimic men and robots of all different colors,
The reality that exists cannot be denied,
For I am what most consider eternal and divine,
If you guess correctly that which you seek,
Then follow me into the depths of which I speak. but we have no idea how to answer it."

Wire Man: "The only lead that we have is that it has something to do with light and darkness."

Vanish Woman: "Oh yeah...there's also an insignia on the ceiling over there. It only has one spot where the light shines."

Shopkeeper: "There are three questions you should ask yourself. It'll cost all of your screws though."

Vanish Woman: "What?"

Zanbato Man: "You can't be serious."

Luna Man: "You old hag. I'll make you tell us."

Luna Man tries to jump over the counter but is knocked back by what seems like a force field.

Shopkeeper: "Haha. Looks like you found out about the Repel Barrier. I have it around my shop to keep people from stealing it. I control who comes in and out, and you definitely can't come in here."

Luna Man: "Forget this. We should just leave an-"

Vanish Woman: "Fine."

Wire Man: "Yeah, I think we should pay too."

Zanbato Man: "If it can help us get into the Inner Sector, then I guess we have no choice."

Luna Man: "Are you all serious? You're just going to give her your screws?"

Wire Man: "We can always get more later."

Luna Man: "I don't like it...but whatever."

Wire Man gives the Shopkeeper 75 screws.

Vanish Woman gives the Shopkeeper 50 screws.

Luna Man gives the Shopkeeper 50 screws.

Zanbato Man gives the Shopkeeper 75 screws.

Wire Man: "Hey...didn't you have more?"

Zanbato Man: "Actually I went back to the Elemental Training Facility after Bass took Proto Man. I had to upgrade something, and I had to become stronger. I didn't expect to have to give up the rest."

Shopkeeper: "Wow...I didn't realize how poor you all were."

Luna Man: "You're lucky you have that stupid Repel Barrier."

Shopkeeper: "A deal is a deal. I'll tell you the three questions. First off, is the answer only one thing? It could be two, three, seven, or nothing at all. Who knows?"

Vanish Woman: "Hmm...darkness and light..."

Shopkeeper: "Whoever have you that hint clearly knew how to get into the Inner Sector. Now to the second question. Can light create darkness?"

Wire Man: "How could light create darkness?"

Luna Man: "You're making no sense."

Shopkeeper: "The final question is more of a suggestion. When light becomes darkness, try to look for the light at the end of the tunnel."

Zanbato Man: "How very strange..."

Shopkeeper: "Well there you go. You shouldn't need any more hints. Also...I give this to anyone who comes by. I'm supposed to."

You all get Flashlights.

Luna Man: "What are we supposed to do with these? It's not like it's nighttime."

Shopkeeper: "Just take it you little brat."

Vanish Woman: "Hm...thank you very much."

Shopkeeper: "No problem. And about that note you found...can you give it to me?"

Vanish Woman: "Give it to her Luna Man."

Luna Man took out the note and put his hand through the Repel Barrier to hand the Shopkeeper the note.

Luna Man: "Where's that stupid barrier?"

Shopkeeper: "I temporarily disabled it. It'll go back on in 3...2...1..."

Suddenly, Luna Man flew several feet away.

Luna Man: "Ouch..."

Shopkeeper: "Don't be afraid to come back. I'll look forward to seeing you again."

Zanbato Man: "Thank you."

You all walk back to the mini waterfall and gather near the riddle.

Wire Man: "So...based on what she told us, there could be one, multiple, or no answers at all."

Luna Man: "My guess is that there are multiple. There's no way that there's no answer to this thing."

Zanbato Man: "Supposedly we can turn light into darkness...but what does that have to do with anything?"

Vanish Woman: "I don't know. But what does she mean by that light at the end of the tunnel thing? Is there a tunnel that we should look for?"

Zanbato Man: "Maybe we need to go through a tunnel to get to the Inner Sector."

Wire Man: "Well what we do know is that the answer to this riddle has something to do with light and darkness...but I just don't get what it could mean."

Zanbato Man: "It could be a struggle between good and evil. You know...light representing good...darkness representing evil."

Vanish Woman: "You make a good point...so the answer to her first question looks like it's two."

Luna Man: "So should we try and find the answer to her second question?"

Zanbato Man: "I guess that we have no choice."

Wire Man: "Wait...light can become darkness...there was a wall of light in that room where we found the room. Should we co to it?"

Vanish Woman: "And then there's that insignia...it's starting to make a little sense now...it's as if she was trying to give us instructions!"

Zanbato Man: "Can we trust them?"

Wire Man: "Well...they're our only lead right now...so I say we follow them and see what happens."

I shall go to the wall of light. Maybe if we extinguish the light to make darkness, we'll find some sort of tunnel with a light at the end of it.

You three have decided to go to the wall of light.

Vanish Woman: "Well...let's go to the wall of light then."

Zanbato Man: "You guys go ahead. I'm going to observe the riddle some more."

Luna Man: "Suit yourself."

Wire Man, Vanish Woman, and Luna Man all depart from the mini waterfall and make their way to the wall of light.

Vanish Woman: "So the shopkeeper told us that light can create darkness. But how is that possible?"

Wire Man: "I have no idea. But I guess we can try."

Luna Man: "Maybe we should use those flashlights she gave us to try and solve the riddle."

You all take out your Flashlights and shine it at the wall. You stare at where the light hits the wall and...nothing happens...

Wire Man: "Nothing's happening!"

Luna Man: "That shopkeeper lied to us..."

Vanish Woman: "But how...there's no way that this could've failed. It was the only lead we had."

Luna Man: "Stupid flashlight..."

Luna Man throws his flashlight across the room and hits the wall. A shattering sound is heard and you all see a light shining in your direction towards the wall of light.

Vanish Woman: "Huh? A light? So this wall isn't really a wall of light?"

Wire Man: "That's strange. The light is piercing through us. Our shadow isn't even showing. What kind of light is this?"

Luna Man: "That Dr. Light probably found a way for light to pierce through us."

Wire Man: "That is possible. But even so, if the light can pierce through anything, then how can we stop it?"

Vanish Woman: "Wait...what if we..."

Vanish Woman points her Flashlight towards the light. Suddenly, a hologram appears.

Mysterious Hologram: "...fall...one spot...shout...follow Dr. Light...dark night...revealed...Inner Sector..."

Wire Man: "What in the world?"

Vanish Woman: "So there was a hologram this entire time?"

Luna Man: "I can barely hear what he's saying."

Vanish Woman: "He doesn't make any sense..."

Wire Man: "Well he said a few useful things. We have to shout something...and we probably have to be in one spot when we do it..."

Vanish Woman: "One spot...but what one spot does he mean?"

Luna Man: "We also have to follow...light? Darkness? This guy is really confusing."

Wire Man: "I also heard look into...what are we supposed to look into?"

Luna Man: "Hmm...well I don't know. But the answer to that shopkeepers second question is no. We didn't create darkness, we just discovered a hologram that's saying nonsense."

Vanish Woman: "Wait a second..."

You all look on the floor behind the hologram and you notice a shadow.

Wire Man: "Is that what that shopkeeper meant when she said to create darkness?"

Vanish Woman: "What's that in the middle of the shadow?"

Luna Man: "It looks like a button. We should press it."

Wire Man: "It could be a trap."

Vanish Woman: "It's the only option left. We have to."

You all debate on whether or not you should press the button, but you all decide that pressing the button is the better choice.

Luna Man: "If that's the case, then I'll push it."

Luna Man pushed the button. The light suddenly turned off and the wall of light disappeared. You look into the distance and see a distant light.

Vanish Woman: "The light at the end of the tunnel!"

Luna Man: "That must be the way to the Inner Sector!"

Wire Man: "Let's go find Roll!"

The three of you, in excitement, run towards the light at the end of the tunnel. You see something in the distance, and them you realize what it is. It's a stone!

Wire Man: "We reached the light...but there's nothing here but a stone."

Luna Man: "I see a message..."

You all stare at the message and see what it says:

Solve the riddle by the water...
You must stand in the...
Where the light shines and...
"I will gladly go and...
into the evil grip of a..."
The answer of the riddle is...
Now make your way into the...

Vanish Woman: "I get it now..."

Luna Man: "So that's what we have to do..."

Wire Man: "Hey...where's Zanbato Man?"

Luna Man: "By the mini waterfall."

You all rush to the mini waterfall and see that Zanbato Man is not there.

Wire Man: "Where is he?"

Luna Man: "He went missing again?"

Vanish Woman: "Oh dear..."

Shopkeeper: "If you're looking for Zanbato Man, he already entered the Inner Sector."

Vanish Woman: "How?"

Shopkeeper: "He solved it. I couldn't believe it. He didn't even use the tunnel that you three went through. I suggest you hurry so that you can reach him before he reaches Roll."

Zanbato Man has decided to stay by the mini waterfall. I'm giving both Hidden Phantom and Magma_Cubr one more chance to participate. If they don't respond, then their robot will be permanently unusable.

Zanbato Man: "Looks like they're gone..."

You look at the riddle once more.

Zan'ei Man: "Anyway...we need to go to that insignia."

You all walk towards the insignia.

Cannon Man: "You see that light up there? We need to stand here and shout..."

Cannon Man tells Zanbato Man what to say.

Zanbato Man: "I see...lets do it then."

The three of you solve the riddle and a flash of light appears from the insignia.

Inner Sector Theme

A few minutes passed and you're completely surrounded by darkness. None of you can see anything, and you smell burnt metal.

Zan'ei Man: "Where are we?"

Cannon Man: "I have no idea...maybe we made it into the Inner Sector."

Zanbato Man: "But why does it smell like burnt rubber?"

A mysterious figure appears behind you all.

Mysterious Figure: "It's been a while since I've met intruders. Who are you three?"

You can choose to do one of the following:
- You can choose to ask who the figure is
- You can attack the mysterious figure
- You can scream for help
- You can try to run away

I'm not exactly sure what to shout, but I think if we discuss that, I know where to stand when we do. I will try to solve this riddle.
