Talmas closed the door to the Elemental Training Facility and turned down the lights.

Talmas: "I was once the Elemental Trainer at the very place you all work. But then I had little Payka and I had to quit. However, they told me that I could have the machine used to upgrade elemental abilities, so I created this facility. But enough about me. I'll tell you the cost of each upgrade. Since you are new recruits, I'll give you half off on all non-SPECIAL upgrades."

Payka: "When you choose which one to upgrade, come with me so I can help you upgrade!"

One of you have chosen to ask about upgrading weapons. Another has chosen to ask who he is. Another one of you has chosen to try and steal the saber.

Mysterious Figure: "I said what do you want?"

Vanish Woman: "Why don't you start by telling us who you are first. I can't just give my saber to anyone, ya know."

Dalton : "You got spunk, I'll give you that. I'm Dalton, the toughest guy around. And don't worry about losing your saber. I'm the best in the business. There isn't a weapon on the planet that I wouldn't take care of as carefully as I could."

Zan'ei Man: "So do you think you can upgrade my weapons?"

Dalton : "Lets see...that Guts Punch is a weapon that only one robot can upgrade for you. But you have to fight him for it. But I can pretty much fix up anything else. And before you ask, were currently out of stock, so I can't sell you any weapons...hey...weren't there three of you?"

Dalton suddenly swung the saber in his head towards his left. A thump was heard followed by a loud scream.

Luna Man: "OWWWW! What was that for?"

Dalton : "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! You just tried to steal my saber. This bad boy is the reason that I can hold off pathetic intruders like yourself!"

Luna Man: "What was that?"

Dalton : "Forget it. It's not worth my time. But know this, nobody can steal from me. I advise you not to do it again."

Dalton turned back to Vanish Woman and Zan'ei Man.

Dalton : "Anyway, I'll be glad to upgrade your weapons. Although it doesn't really look like there's much of a choice for you guys, so this shouldn't take long."

You can do one of the following:
- You can ask to have your weapon upgraded
- You can ask how he upgrades weapons
- You can try and steal his saber
- You can leave the Weapons Store

Hm...is there any way that Dalton can upgrade my shuriken, or am I in the wrong place?

I would like my electric ball upgraded very bad.

I still have another weapon so I shall trust this man(for now) & let him upgrade my SABER.... on the condition he tells me how much it will cost first. I have limited funds....

Zanbato Man: "I would like to upgrade my special elemental ability!"

Talmas: "I'm afraid that you do not have enough screws to pay for an upgrade to your special elemental ability."

Zanbato Man: "Oh..."

Wire Man: "Can I upgrade my Electric Ball LVL 1?"

Talmas: "Sure. That will be 125 screws."

Wire Man gives Talmas 125 screws.

Talmas: "Ok. Now follow Payka into the back room and she'll prepare the machine for you."

Payka: "Right this way."

Wire Man walks into the back room. Payka tells Wire Man to lay on the bed and she straps the suspenders onto Wire Man to prevent him from moving.

Wire Man: "So what exactly will happen?"

Payka: "You see, this machine was built by Dr. Light to detect and enhance the elemental abilities of robots. This machine will basically find the source of your elemental abilities and will enhance that part of you. As a result, the elemental ability that you choose to upgrade will be enhanced."

Wire Man: "So my Electric Ball will become enhanced?"

Payka: "Correct. When upgrading an elemental ability, three things occur."

Payka types into the computer some information.

Payka: "First, the elemental ability itself becomes more powerful. It'll deal more damage to the enemy."

Payka finishes typing and the machine begins to light up.

Payka: "Secondly, your elemental awareness is 'awakened,' so to speak. By this I mean that depending on the element, as the elemental ability grows stronger, you have a higher chance of activating the special effect of your element."

Wire Man: "I don't get it. What do you mean by special effect?"

Payka moves over to Wire Man and makes sure that his suspenders are on properly.

Payka: "Every element, to put it basically, has a side effect. The four elements that we currently use are Electric, Water, Fire, and Wood. Of course there are others, like Wind, but any robot outside of the basic four elements are deemed 'Neutral Robots.' I don't know why, but that's just the way things are. In your case, you are Electric, so the side effect that your element has is the ability to STUN your enemies. By doing this, you paralyze them and prevent them from being able to move for a variable amount of time. Of course, it doesn't always work. But by upgrading your elemental abilities, you have a better chance of activating the side effect."

Wire Man: "Oh. I think I get it now. You sure are knowledgable for a little girl."

Payka smiles and begins to walk towards the door.

Payka: "Well I have Papa to thank for that. I'm going to become the owner of this place when I'm older, so I want to be able to do it on my own."

Wire Man: "I believe that you can. And I'll be sure to visit when you do."

The machine suddenly spoke.

Elemental Training Facility Machine: "SYSTEM OPERATIONAL! COMMENCING ENHANCEMENT IN T-MINUS 30 SECONDS!"

Payka: "Well I have to leave the room now. It should take about a minute or so, so sit tight and enjoy. It's not as painful as you might think."

Payka began to walk out when she heard Wire Man ask her one more question.

Wire Man: "Before you go...you said that there were three effects. What's the third?"

Payka: "It just consumes more energy. The higher the level of the elemental ability, the more energy is consumed. I think that it's a good exchange considering the benefits."

Payka leaves the room and returns to where her father and Zanbato Man are.

Meanwhile...

During Wire Man and Pakya's conversation...

Talmas: "I'm sorry but I can't just upgrade elemental abilities that my customers can't afford."

Zanbato Man: "Come on...I'll pay you back next time. Just please let me upgrade my special elemental ability."

Talmas: "I can't. I apologize for any inconvenience but if you cannot afford it, then I cannot provide the service."

Zanbato Man: "Hmph..."

You can choose to do one of the following (Note: This only applies to Zanbato Man because Wire Man is upgrading his ability. Wire Man does not need to make a selection.):
- You can ask to upgrade a different ability
- You can beg for Talmas to upgrade your special elemental ability
- You can give up on upgrading an ability and wait patiently for Wire Man to finish
- You can give up on upgrading an ability and leave the Elemental Training Facility

Zan'ei: "Yeah...I need to know if it's worth it."

Luna Man looks around and sees a certificate above the dooe behind Dalton. After reading it, Luna Man begins to laugh hysterically.

Luna Man: "Dalton Germy? What kind of name is that? Bahahahaha!"

Dalton Germy: "Oh so you find that funny eh? Maybe I should triple the price of all upgrades for you?!"

Luna Man: "Oh please. I bet you must suck with a last name like Germy."

Dalton Germy: "You're really testing my patience kid."

Luna Man: "Who are you calling kid? You wanna fight?"

Vanish Woman: "Luna Man, please stop."

Zan'ei Man: "We're here to upgrade our weapons, not to pick fights."

Luna Man: "Fine..."

Dalton Germy: "Looks like your done. Well normally I'd charge 300 screws to upgrade weapons this weak, but I'll halve the price just this once. You all are newbies, so this is my special treat to you. Don' expect another one. So you'll only have to pay 150 screws. Can you all afford it?"

All: "Yup."

Dalton Germy: "Ok then. Let me see your weapons."

Zan'ei Man gives Dalton his SHURIKEN LVL 1.

Vanish Woman gives Dalton her SABER LVL 1.

Luna Man gives Dalton his SABER LVL 1.

Dalton Germy: "Ok then. I'll go and fix these up for you. I'm trusting you two to make sure no one tries to steal anything."

Luna Man: "What do you mean you two?"

Dalton walks into the back room and presses a button. "SYSTEMS ARMED!" was heard and Dalton prepared to close the door.

Dalton Germy: "One more thing. Try to steal anything, and my disintegration lasers will target you. It will miss the first time as a warning, but you won't be so fortunate the second time."

Dalton closes the door and you hear a machine starting.

Vanish Woman: "I hope that he upgrades my saber properly."

Zan'ei Man: "I'm sure he knows what he's doing. We should be wary of his security system. It's probably best to stay put."

You can choose to do one of the following:
- You can sit still and wait until Dalton finishes upgrading your weapon
- You can talk to each other (if you do this, then I suggest doing it in the OOC thread then I'll copy paste it in the next update)
- You can try to steal the screws from the register
- You can try to steal weapons on the shelves

"Germy....he he what a dolt. I don't need anything else and judging by the amount of people in this place....yeah I highly doubt that register is full. I'll just wait till he's done with my saber."

I, too, shall wait. Waiting is part of my programming.

Zanbato Man: "Forget this. I'm going back into hiding."

Zanbato Man leaves Metropolis. Who knows if he will ever return.

Payka enters the room.

Payka: "Ok. He should be done in a minute or so."

Talmas: "Good job Payka. You're growing up to be a very excellent elemental trainer."

Payka looks around but she can't find what she's looking for.

Payka: "Where did he run off too?"

Talmas: "I have no idea."

A minute passes by and the machine beeps.

Payka: "Looks like he's done."

Payka enters the back room to see Wire Man glowing. The glow quickly disappeared.

Payka: "I don't know why, but for some reason, robots glow for a few seconds after upgrading. That's why you're glowing."

Wire Man: "I see."

Payka: "How was it?"

Wire Man: "It was pretty good. I feel much stronger now."

Payka: "Ok then. Time to clean up."

Payka releases the suspenders and Wire Man gets off the table.

Wire Man: "Thanks a lot, Payka. I really appreciate it."

Payka: "Oh it's nothing."

Wire Man and Payka walk out of the back room and back to the main room.

Wire Man: "Where in the world did Zanbato Man go?"

Talmas: "He just stormed out. I don't know why, though. Maybe he was mad because I said he couldn't afford to upgrade his special ability."

Wire Man: "How unfortunate. I hope I can see him again. But I appreciate what you did and I'll be sure to come back again."

Talmas: "I'm glad you feel that way. Feel free to stop by anytime."

Wire Man: "Thank you very much."

Payka: "Bye!"

You walk out of the Elemental Training Facility and return back around the block to see Zan'ei Man, Vanish Woman, and Luna Man walking out of the Weapons Store. You hear a weird noise coming from somewhere nearby, but you disregard it because you are too distracted racing back to your friends.

Minutes pass by. Three minutes. Five. Ten. You wonder if he will ever finish.

Suddenly you hear "SYSTEM DISARMED!" and you see Dalton walk out of the room he was in. He held two shiny sabers and a shiny shuriken.

Dalton Germy: "There. All done. All your weapons are upgraded and more powerful."

Luna Man: "Sweet. Give it to me."

Dalton Germy: "Hold up. You gotta pay first. And don't even try not to pay. If you do, I keep your weapon."

Zan'ei Man gives Dalton 150 screws.

Vanish Woman gives Dalton 150 screws.

Luna Man gives Dalton 150 screws.

Dalton Germy: "Good. Here you go."

Dalton Germy: "I'm glad that you like it."

Luna Man: "But what's better? It looks better, but how is it better than the last one?"

Dalton Man: "Hmm...I guess I have time to kill. Basically, every weapon has five levels at which it could perform. With each upgrade, three things occur. The first thing is that the attributes associated with the weapon improves. For example, a SABER LVL 1 increases ones ATTACK by 4, but decreases HIT CHANCE by 15.00%. By upgrading the weapon, the new SABER LVL 2 increases ATTACK by 8, and decreases HIT CHANCE by only 13.00%."

Zan'ei Man: "Well that's to be expected right?"

Dalton Germy: "Of course. But after upgrading it, you get a bigger range of attacks."

Vanish Woman: "What do you mean?"

Dalton Germy: "With every upgrade, your weapon can unleash new, more devastating attacks. Lets take your SABER LVL 2. Now that you upgraded it, you can deal two attacks. You have the regular SINGLE SLASH, but now you can select DOUBLE SLASH from your new WEAPON SUBMENU. So after selecting your weapon, if it is at least LVL 2, you have more than 1 attack to choose from. But the more devastating the attack, the less often you can use it, so keep that in mind when you fight."

Luna Man: "Sweet. I can't wait to see the lock on my enemies faces when they see me with this!"

Dalton Germy: "Good luck on your mission. And don't be afraid to come back...as long as you don't try and steal anything there shouldn't be a problem."

You all wave goodbye and walk out of the Weapons Store.

You walk outside and cross the street to the Training Facility. You see Wire Man and running towards you all and you greet them.

Everyone is now reunited.

Luna Man: "Check out my new saber! I can beat anyone now...look out he he he."

Zan'ei Man: "That Dalton guy is pretty good, I'll admit it. I haven't seen my shuriken look this good in ages."

Vanish Woman: "How about you? How was the Elemental Training Facility?"

Wire Man: "It was pretty good. I upgraded my Electric Ball, so evil doers should be cautious when they approach me."

Vanish Woman: "Where's Zanbato Man?"

Wire Man: "I don't know he just disappeared."

BOOM! POW! "AHHHHHHH!"

Incident Theme

You all hear screams a couple of blocks away from where you are. Screams of innocent pedestrians. You all wonder what you should do.

You can choose to do one of the following (Note: In situations like these where you all are together and I don't specify that you all can split up, the majority decision is the decision that will be selected. This would've worked with 5 people, but since there are only four, one choice will be randomly selected in the case of a tiebreaker!.):
- You can go to the scene and see why you heard screams
- You can pretend that you didn't hear anything and continue your conversation
- You can hide in the Training Facility
- You can run away to the Main Room

I found out what the error was...so I pretty much triple posted for no reason. Sorry mods.

"A new opponent!? Lets check it out and see what this saber can do. I am no coward lets see what all the screams are about"

I want to see why I heard screams because this new upgrade should be useful and I need to maybe test it out in a real fight.

I shall investigate these screams. Somebody may need some assistance.

You all have decided to go to where the screams are coming.

You quickly rush to the scene where you find an innocent pedestrian holding on tightly to his robotic dog.

Vanish Woman: "Is that..."

Zan'ei Man: "It would appear so. It looks like that guy we met earlier is in trouble."

Luna Man: "But who's that?"

You all run in front of the man and his robotic dog, ready to fight. Suddenly, you realize who is in front of you.

The man behind you runs away, and you all stand face to face with the man who you were instructed to run away from.

All: "BASS!!!"

Treble Bass: "Hmm...who are you weaklings? I guess there are a few more nuisances in my way, huh."

Bass prepares to battle.

Treble Bass: "I guess I'd better make this quick. I have more important matters to attend to."

Wire Man: "Oh no. It's Bass. We have to run!"

Vanish Woman: "I don't know if we can."

Luna Man: "Looks like we have no choice but to fight. Time to test out my new saber."

Zan'ei Man: "This may not end well..."
