I would consider humans to be omnivores. Why? Actually, it is quite simple. Humans own the ability to be able to digest meat and plants, humans own thirty-two teeth that had been designed to chew both meat and plants, and humans own four teeth that had been designed to chew meat, specifically classified as the canine teeth. After reading this explanation, I am positive you shall own a greater feeling to consider humans as omnivores.

   First of all, humans own the ability to digest meat and plants. This demonstrates that if that is possible, then we had been designed to be omnivores. Secondly, humans own thirty-two teeth. Teeth had been designed to chew anything that is unable to be swallowed whole. As an example, meat is a meal that must be chewed in order to swallow it without choking. This example may be challenged, but I have multiple facts to back it up. First of all, teeth are not required to be able to swallow all plants. Secondly, herbivorous dinosaurs, such as a brachiosaurus, had owned a specific designing of teeth. These teeth had been designed to chew soft plants and rough plants, but they had not been designed to chew meat. Finally, the teeth of humans are able to chew both meat and plants. Would not you consider the teeth of humans to be designed to eat both meat and plants? Anyways, it is time to return to the central idea of this explanation. Lastly, humans own four teeth that had be designed to chew meat, specifically classified as the canine teeth. Considering these four specific teeth had been designed to chew meat, this demonstrates that humans had been designed to chew meat, too. In a quite different phrase, if humans own any amount of teeth that had been specifically designed to chew meat, then we may be classified as carnivores, too.

   Considering this is not an essay assigned by an educator, I would not classify it as "excellent work," but in my opinion, I would definitely classify this essay to be decent work. Haha!

Considering how our teeth our design, then yes we are omnivores.

For those who point out at the (usually) better health of vegetarians: these people are more conscious about eating well, but it doesn't mean that not eating meat makes them better. In fact, I could probably outlive most vegetarians because I consume more fat and less carbs

Humans have always ate meat. I have always ate meat.. there has never been a time when I don't eat meat.. and it's hard to eat dinner if there isn't some type of meat.. chicken or fish. I think that we all should have our own choice on what we eat .. when we eat it and how we eat it. So yes.. I don't agree with a lot of vegetarens as I could never become one.. I do feel like just because they are vegetarens doesn't mean everyone else is suppose to eat only fruts and vegetables like them.


It is meant for us to all eat meats and vegatebles.. it was how we were designed.

Yes, we, as human beings, are omnivores. Some people will decide it is not 'ethical' to eat meat and convert to a vegetarian, or worse, a vegan. Not that these people are wrong, but I must say, I disagree. I need my meat . As a species, we are, without question, omnivores.

Well, yeah. The root "Omni-" means all. As humans we are born as omnivores. Right from the start we are eating vegetables. Soon after, we are eating meat. And sometimes, we are eating... weird stuff.

So yes, I would consider humans omnivores, even vegetarians.

Yes I do think we are omnivores because our teeth can cut through meat and vegetables. All though it is a hard question considering some people only eat vegetables.

awesomeguy279 : Well vegetarians don't eat meat for cultural or ethical reasons. They deny themselves of meat, not because they wouldn't think it's tasty or "just don't", but because they believe that eating the flesh of an animal is wrong. That's different from what we're designed to do.

But that's also why I think legacyme3 was attacking his friend's argument with an irrelevant argument, since his friend was talking about ethics not what humans were designed to do.
