I really dislike this argument against evolution. The bible says things all the time that are not historical or scientifically accurate The sun doesn't actually "set" (Ecc. 1:5), God does not have wings (Ps. 17:8), and the sea does not have doors (Job 38:7). 

Does this mean the bible has errors? No! The bible isn't to teach us about science! The bible teaches us about God and his purpose for his children(past, present, and future).

To make the bible into something it's not is adding to the scriptures.

The same way the two of every animal in Noah's ark repopulated their entire species. And how Noah, his wife and their sons repopulated the human race.

magimangr : Except you will have trouble with Genesis 3 when it is affirmed that Eve is the mother of all living. Not to mention the fact that during that time, there were no different categories like Jews and Gentiles. Remember, before the Tower of Babel, everyone was able to speak in the same language. It was from that incident when we start to see that different languages and different tribes come up, but all of that was after Adam and Eve. Also remember that, there are recordings as to where some of these "gentiles" come from. There are some mentioning of different gentiles in the Bible that link back to Adam and Eve.

Simple answer it did cause problems it's just not written in the bible, That's at-least in part why there was the flood GOD tried again with a more diverse gene pool.

inbreeding doesn't always cause detrimental mutation just look at the old school royals.

The story of evolution also has the same problem since there was probably a small stock of .... ? single celled organism ? In the beginning of life

legacyme3 : Except the missing link isn't a step between us and monkeys. Monkeys didn't evolve into something that evolved into humans. Common ancestor means that there was one creature first. That creature spread to different locations, and adapted to those different locations. One group slowly developed into what we call monkeys, apes, etc, and the other slowly developed into our current humans. But monkeys are just as evolved as humans. They just evolved differently. But we didn't evolve from monkeys or apes. Humans, monkeys, and apes all evolved differently from a common creature, which was not a monkey.

maguc : I find it a little disappointing that people have been proving lines of reasoning and support to you to answer this question here in this thread, yet in another thread, you continued to call this a discrepancy while not even participating in the conversation here. Are you really interested in knowing the answer? In seeking truth?

play4fun : Of course I want to know the truth. However, there is a tiny problem. In this whole thread, people that say they could and could not, both make very good points. This is a very good argument/debate thing going on here, and both sides are winning. From one side, someone makes an argument saying they could have, however someone else comes and disproves that argument, and it just keeps on going.

Now, to participate in my thread, I just want to say one thing.
People get evolution wrong. We did not evolve from apes and monkeys. We evolved from a species similar to monkeys, just like wolfs and dogs evolved from a similar species, but they have differences.
Inbreeding causes problems, which mostly cause death or serious health problems. If Adam and Eve were the only humans, than would it not mean that the entire human population would have died out between the first couple of generations.

I myself say that Adam and Eve could have not populated the entire world, however people are posting stuff that makes me think otherwise, which is why I don't want to meddle to much until I figure something out.

When ever this has come up in Sunday school the answer was that they  were not the only people on the planet at the time.

maguc :  well maguc i think they might have their children like you know so they could poulate the earth and at noahs ark i think the same exact thing happend sounds gross i know but thats what happend

deg2000 : Thing is, if hey did have children, they would have to have children with their children. If they do, the offspring will be deformed or have failures and would have little to none chance to live, or they would live in pain. Imagine those poor kids with deformities, that's how the children would come out as.
