Annette : I cook nightly, as I am a trained chef. The only time I eat out, is if my girlfriend and I are able to afford it.

I personally, love to cook. It is something I can put so much emotion into, and yet, always come up with something spectacular. Most years, I cook the Christmas dinner, as my parents would be tending to the horses the best part of the morning. So it gives me something to pass the time, and to enjoy doing.

My personal best dish, is my own take on a lasagne. With Bacon, Peppers, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, a secret blend of herbs, and my own home-made bechamel sauce, usually served up with a portion of home cut fries. (Nice chunky ones)

ahah very interesting thread well me i dont cook much but for a teenager i only make myself meals when i am hungry and came form school and my mom isnt home i make my own and make it healthy and good i sometimes make food for my parents when they come back from work im really happy i know how to cook because if i didnt it wouldnt be a good life.its nice to see posts that are coming from guys that know how to cook and that prepare food for there parents good thing im not the only guy who does this great thread Annette by the way

I cook all the time!  I love cooking and I love teaching the kids that I baby sit how to cook.
Now once in a blue moon I'll order out if I'm sick or I am too tired from a long week.  But that's a rarity because cooking seems to help me relax.

I say if you can't cook you won't get anywhere in life.  You need to learn how to do things for yourself!

I do cook for my self alot of times but my mom cooks most dinners for me and my sisters every night. I love to cook in general though and I know when I do cook it helps my mom out! When it comes to baking like cakes and stuff.. I haven't mastered that yet!

Although I've never gone through any training, I have studied many techniques and have a friend who is a chef and she gave me some lessons in cooking as well as making pastries. But of course the best way to become good at cooking is practice, which I do a lot of.
