LOL, I love awkwardness! It makes everything so much more interesting.

1. Your mother, God bless her heart, gave you a choice between only two instruments. The washboard and the jug. Since the jug is the one "most closely related to the flute", you chose the jug? Final answer. (That must have been very awkward...)
2. "the grace of a flopping fish". Your mother, God bless her heart, insisted that you wear the second option - inflatable pants. She was afraid that you might drown in gym class.
3. Advanced Nuclear Robotics? All the other kids in school were really psyched about studying nuclear powered robots. Why weren't you?
4. "Dinosaurs went extinct because they wouldn't take a bath!"?
5. 9/11?
6. Awww, that made me sad. Don't feel bad you weren't the only kid to avoid those types of places.  On the playground?
7. Tutoring club? It was there that you discovered your passion for helping kids figure out how to use common sense. Thus, a young Mrs. Singelli was born.
8. Awww, I don't like that.  OK, it probably didn't involve violence... You used your limited knowledge of "Advanced Nuclear Robotics" to build a robot to travel back in time and prevent the rain? However, something backfired and the robot arrived in the Mesozoic era and slowed all rainfall for several million years which prevented the dinosaurs from taking any baths. Finally, the nuclear powered robot suffered a fatal core breach and subsequent meltdown after being attacked by an angry Stegosaurus with an extreme case of onion pits. The core meltdown ended the reign of the dinosaur and ushered in a new era on earth. Unfortunately, you still had mud on your pants. I guess you should have paid more attention in Advanced Nuclear Robotics?
9. AWWWWWWW! dlscowboy22, what the heck man? He started bawling too? This was to show everyone that bawling is cool.
10. Tickets to the Jug Band Blow Out competition?

1.  The Recorder
2.  Sweatpants?
3.  Chemistry?
4.  They still exist (and live among us jk :-)).  Some people insist that turtles were around millions of years ago.  I don't believe that the Earth has been around that long, but turtles certainly have qualities that have helped them to adapt and survive, sometimes for over 100 years at a time.
5.  Your hair got caught in a fan, perhaps?
6.  The playground
7.  Humanitarian club
8.  You used the rain to wash the mud off.
9.  He forced one of the teams to take you on their team.
10.  Pokemon cards, perhaps?

Alright let's give this a (poor) shot:
1) Hm.. there's at least a handful of options here. I'm going to have to go with Clarinet, though.
2) Can't imagine what would be so bad, or what could replace shorts. Maybe a skort?
3) Tough call, but I'll say World History?
4) That they used to coexist with humans?
5) When you finally decided to curl it for a dance or something?
6) Well you mentioned an instrument, for us it was the band room.
7) Key Club?
8) Cry? Or use the Force and push them down as well. Idk lol
9) He asked if one of the teams would accept you
10) Really? The bus driver has that kind of authority? That's powerful. lol For us, people were always selling candy. I'm gonna go with those Big Lollipops. Final Answer

Darn, so much thinking and scenarios to imagine.

1. An ocarina.
2. Stockings, bahaha!
3. Erm. Accounting, which is why you became a teacher instead of an accountant.
4. That dinosaurs lived with cavemen.
5. ...Er, Santa sent you a note saying that he's going to get you Frizz Ease for Christmas?
6. *Thinks about the movie Bring it On - All or Nothing* The restroom. You then called your friends from a former school and talked to them in gibberish.
7. Future Educators of America? That's an actual club in my high school and college.
8. You tried to dust it off, but then you realized that it wouldn't do any good. So you threw mud at the person.
9. He got up on a chair and asked you to the dance.
10. Corn syrup.

I gave up after cavemen. XD

Yes! The awkward years of Singelli! This will be fun. I'll try more for laughs than right answers, this time. (And imagine if one of your students found this.)

1.  Clarinet. And what made it awkward was that a boy that always dressed like Squidward was forced to sit next to you and play it, too.

2. Uhm... Let's see... Hello Kitty sweatshorts.

3. Advanced water polo. You hated to swim and, since you said hated PE, wanted to leave the class. Your mother, however, told you to get active in water.

4. "DINOSAURS ARE FRIENDS, NOT BONES."

5.  Huh... You were playing chess, and as you won, the person you were playing against threw his king at you. You had tried to straighten them that day, but when the king went swooping through your hair, it became curly.

6.  These are teenage years, so no playground... The janitor's closet. His mop is a great topping for pizza.

7. I don't know what they called it back then... Random Acts of Kindness club? Or... Helper club? Or Good Samaritans club?

8.  You tried to brush it off, and your wallet fell out. And then that mean kid stole your money.

9. He stood on the table, yelled, "HEY, LOOK AT THIS COOL GAL!", then told you to break dance.

10. ...Er... You were trying to sell people lobsters.

I feel like the poster child of awkwardness what with how many of you got these spot on. XD

1. Sadly... I thought the clarinet was like a flute. Didn't you guys read my hint about awkwardness and age? goodboy and danielbelitch, you were spot on. Fabulous! And while there was NOT a squidward look-alike next to me, I did have very stiff competition with the 1st place chair that always frustrated me. That was my chair!

2. I had to wear red sweatpants. Talk about unflattering and embarrassing. I loathed those things!

3. I can feel the chemistry between us.... Or... well... what chemistry? What does that mean? What molecules are being taken into consideration here?

4. I told my family that palaeontologists had found a live dinosaur and that it gave its dying breath after they discovered it. :/ I remember the story having something to do with food in its stomach, but now I can't remember what role that aspect played in my story. My family will never let me live it down that I thought a live dinosaur was found.

5. I'm actually surprised nobody got this. The answer was prom, which my mother forced me to go to. And my date's mother forced him to ask me because I tutored him almost daily. Talk about awkward!

6. I ate in the library. XD Whenever the librarian came around, I'd stuff the food under the desk as quickly as possible. Eating on the sly! Though now that someone mentioned it, I think I did actually have lunch a few times in the bathroom, too.

7. A few people got this one, yay! I joined Key Club.

8. Nobody knows how very non-confrontational I am? LOL I blushed and went along for the REST of the school day with the mud all down the back of my pants. Didn't want to call my parents, so I let people laugh at me all day...

9. He forced another team to take me into their game. Even worse was that he picked the most popular set of kids to force me on. And of course, I also can't bowl....

10. We were selling suckers for a yearbook fundraiser. However, I'll take candy, since so many of you said it. I should have asked you to be more specific.

NEW QUESTIONS!

Theme: Technology
Kudos to danielbelitch for the idea!

1. I've always been a dork when it comes to technology. When did I get my first laptop?

2. Being the age I was, the laptop had one purpose. What was its purpose?

3. What was the first social media site I joined?

4. What email provider did I first use?

5. When my twin and I got our first cell phones at 17, it was a big deal for us. My father even let us pick custom battery covers to increase our excitement. I chose something very wall-papery that was purple and blue and black. What common desktop theme did I choose? (i.e. beach, city silhouette, sunrise, etc.)

6. Was it a one piece phone, a go phone, a flip phone, a phone with a sliding keyboard, or a smart phone?

7. My next phone was a huge brand at that time that everyone just HAD to have. It was probably the first time I did something to go along with the in crowd. What type of cell phone did I get that was all the hype?

8. When I became an adult, I 'moved on up' in the technology world and got a phone which excited me very much. I even called my mother to laugh and tease her about its features. What is one feature of the phone that caused me to giggle and be hyper? (Hint: Amazingly, I didn't know the feature existed, and I was around 23. :/ )

9. Unfortunately, I'm a huge klutz. I feel like if something is expensive, I will accidentally break it within a year. I almost never want to buy a laptop because of my accident prone-ness. How many laptops have I been forced to replace over the past 5 years? That is, how many have I owned, including my current machine?

10. How many texts do I send on average a week?

Hey, I almost got number 5 right. I still said a dance or something lol.
But thanks for using my theme!

1. I'll say you got your first laptop at the age of 19 (college and all)
2. The purpose was to go online for research?
3. Gonna have to go with Myspace. If I joined, everyone had to have joined. lol
4. AOL seems to obvious, I'll go with yahoo
5. Perhaps a floral pattern?
6. Custom battery cover? Highly doubtful it's a go phone. But smartphones seem a bit out of line. I'll say it was a slider with the keyboard. That was my first phone at 17 as well. lol
7. How fast did you get this new phone? I'm still only my 2nd... I'll go with an LG
8. MP3 playback/Being able to use your own songs as a the ringtone? That's why I love my phone lol. Got the zelda sound for texts and use either the Cantina song from Star Wars or the Doctor Who theme for my ringer.
9. I'll go with three
10. I can't even wrap my head around a reasonable number, so I'll assume you're asking this question since it might surprising that you send so few. Well you can't trick me! I'll say 15-25 ish... so maybe about 20 / week?

1. I've always been a dork when it comes to technology. When did I get my first laptop?

2012, perhaps?

2. Being the age I was, the laptop had one purpose. What was its purpose?

To visit Vizzed and make posts!

3. What was the first social media site I joined?

Vizzed!

4. What email provider did I first use?

Hotmail

Seagulls for Singelli!

6. Was it a one piece phone, a go phone, a flip phone, a phone with a sliding keyboard, or a smart phone?

A one piece phone.

7. My next phone was a huge brand at that time that everyone just HAD to have. It was probably the first time I did something to go along with the in crowd. What type of cell phone did I get that was all the hype?

A Motorola Razr.  The uber-sleek flip phone.

Audio recording, perhaps?  Maybe you recorded your friends sneezing (or snoring...).

1!  Perhaps you were extra careful with your first one?

10. How many texts do I send on average a week?

7.  One per day.

I know I'm probably not right about most of them, but then again, I wasn't shooting for the most straightforward answers.

dlscowby22 :  aw man.. I'm sooooo sorry! I just had a really busy week!  Here we go!

1. I've always been a dork when it comes to technology. When did I get my first laptop?
I wanna say I was 17. I think it was during my high school years, but given its purpose, I can't imagine why I'd have one that young.  Thus, it might have been 18 or 19.  I'll take danielbelitch's and Mistress' answers on this one. ^.^

2. Being the age I was, the laptop had one purpose. What was its purpose?
It was solely for school work. My parents monitored my use of it very carefully, and I was ONLY allowed to do homework on it.  I'll give points to goodboy, danielbelitch, Mistress, and dlscowboy22.

3. What was the first social media site I joined?
Definitely facebook. I never liked myspace and never well.  I actually joined facebook when it was first created.  ^.^ My, how it's changed!  I'm actually shocked nobody got this considering how huge facebook is and how facebook rules the world.

4. What email provider did I first use?
yahoo.  I even remember what my email and password were. My mother insisted I use my name, though nobody may age did, and I hated it. I had to use kelliperr87@yahoo.com and created it at 14 years of age. My mother also made me pick a password I would never forget, so I used peanutbuttercookies.  (Don't try it, stalkers... I never use that any more.   )

Nobody got this. Is it because everyone hates yahoo as much as I do?

It was actually a sunset. I guess my hints were a little too obscure, I'm sorry!

6. Was it a one piece phone, a go phone, a flip phone, a phone with a sliding keyboard, or a smart phone?
It was yes... a flip phone. I felt so cool. haha.  I'm surprised the top didn't flip off its hinges.  Only dlscowboy22 got this one.

7. My next phone was a huge brand at that time that everyone just HAD to have. It was probably the first time I did something to go along with the in crowd. What type of cell phone did I get that was all the hype?
Definitely a razor.  I'm glad so many people actually remembered this.  So slim and sleek!  Mine was a deep maroon color, and I got to feel even cooler.  Granted, I got it as the fad was dying out, but I still pretended to be a part of the in crowed.    supernerd117 and dlscowboy22 got this.

I don't even know what an LG is, and I've never understood the hype about blackberrys.  What makes them so much different than other phones?  O.o

As I told my mother:  "Ooooh, I have a flippy slidey, keyboard-y phone! AND IT HAS A TOUCH SCREEN!!!!!!! <insert an insanely loud gasp>".  I was totally amazed, and I have no idea how I was clueless on the existence of touch screen phones.  I'm pretty certain smart phones with touch pads existed a few years before my discovery.  LOL  I'll give points to... wow... dlscowboy22.

9. Unfortunately, I'm a huge klutz. I feel like if something is expensive, I will accidentally break it within a year. I almost never want to buy a laptop because of my accident prone-ness. How many laptops have I been forced toreplace over the past 5 years?  That is, how many have I owned, including my current machine?
I'm on my 4th machine.    I broke the first one in a fight when I pushed it off my desk, angry at myself and saying I didn't want it.  (yay, go me and raging fit.  :/ ).  The second one had tea spilled all over it and the keyboard stopped working.  Then I felt so insanely guilty that I bought a little tiny netbook to save money.  That became too much of a hassle to do my work on, and so I finally got this machine. I swear, if this one ever breaks, I will NEVER purchase another...  :/

10. How many texts do I send on average a week?
Err... what's a text message?  LOL
Obviously, I did.  But in all honesty? I don't belong in my generation. I HATE texting. I only text when necessary, and because I dislike talking to people a lot.  Over the past month or so, my average is probably around ... 10? MAYBE?  My highest texting average was when I worked out regularly. My fitness partner and I would text back and forth about the exercises as we did them daily.  During that point, I was probably texting 50 times a week on average.  That seems so insanely high to me.

goodboy and supernerd117 gave the best answers.

dlscowboy22.. you're kinda freaking me out.  So few posts, and yet it feels like you know me all too well. We've never even held a conversation! It's super freaky!!!!

Also, not sure what the next subject should be...

Hmmm....

P.S. I know becerra95 was answering this as I typed my answers.  I'll reward him whatever he's do, but I didn't want to lose my formatting on this post just to go see what he said, and I was too lazy to open another tab.

Lol, its mainly just we are about the same age, so when you ask questions related to something that may have happened to me around the same time, I guess I'm just lucky in assuming its pretty close.

As far as topics, How about TV/Movies. Or A Grand list of "Favorites"

dlscowby22 : I just noticed I kept spelling your name wrong in my last post. XD Sorry about that.

So it's due to age, huh? Alright, let's see if I can trip you up with this one!

I was given a lot of great ideas, and I think I'm going to use most of them for my next few quizzes. My favorite ideas were cars (given to me through chats) and jobs though. I think I'm gonna go with cars this time.

Theme: Wheels and Deals

1. I got my first car when I was around 18. However, due to some sketchy dealings by the original owner, I NEVER got to drive it. It sat in my parent's driveway until I was about 22, and they finally had it towed away. My father and I drove all the way to Virginia to get it, too. What kind of a truck was it? (I'll give you that it was a truck. )

2. My mom was a worry wort. She was always worried about her kids and so the idea of them driving was quite terrifying to her. She let us get our permits at 16, but she wasn't quite ready for us to get our licenses. How old was I when I got my driver's license?

3. How many times did I have to take the driver's test to get it?

4. Believe it or not, this goody two-shoes has several tickets that she's had to paid. I've only ever broken two traffic laws though. One law I broke only once, and another law I've gotten a ticket for 3 times. Name something I've gotten a ticket for.

5. What's my dream vehicle? Come on.. this is an easy-peasy one!

6. How many car crashes have I been involved in? Kudos for any details you may get right in describing scenarios. (I know you have a good one stashed away, thephantombrain! XD)

7. Yes, I know how to do maintenance on a car. That being said, do I change my oil or have someone else do it for me?

8. Name some kind of maintenance I've done on a car before. (Bonus if you can name the most 'intense'. I didn't do it alone though. Hint, hint.)

9. How many vehicles have I owned since moving out on my own?

10. Can I drive a stick shift?

There are so many more questions I can ask on this topic.. LOL. Good pick,
becerra95 : !

And ....
thephantombrain : I want to see you participate in this one!

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
