Hi good people! Sorry for the huge inactivity and all that.. I did not post for like fifteen days!

Sorry to sandwich, but for the third town, I have an idea for story.

When you enter the town, you here rumors of a Gyarados near the town. Two guards tell you you must catch it before going anywhere because the Gyarados is causing havoc. I will think of more story soon.

PixelBrick : Isn't that copying the red Garados part in Gold and Silver. But instead you have to actual catch it. I don't know, It does not sound very original.

MechaMento : Okay, then maybe you have to go in an abandoned building to catch five Delibirds?

PixelBrick : Sounds cool. Would it be better if it was a haunted house and you had to deafete 3-5 different Ghost types to save some one. This could be where one of the keys is aswell.

you could do both those ideas... just in different towns... 

you could have a house in the 3rd town that is haunted and the player must beat 3 gengars (these are event gengars not wild pokemon) to progress...

and later the player can catch and turn in 5 delibirds (or whatever) to progress...

Personally I like side stories... and both these sound like side quests to get rare or helpful items... maybe exp share or something.

neither will be hard to script

another lil side quest... you could make a really rare pokemon... maybe its in the 2 routes near where the event happens but only in the 1% slot... 

so say a guy in the 5th town lost his tauros (hes a farmer) and needs you to go catch them. the tauros are in every route that touches the town (weather ists 2 or 4) but only a 1% chance... and as you bring them in he gives you rewards. maybe he wants 20 (no rewards after 20) and every 5 tauros he gives you a reward, like a hold item(charcoal, quick claw, brightpowder) maybe he also gives rewards for miltank (can also be 1%) but for every miltank he gives a glass of moomoo milk

it is a challange that players can keep coming back too. they dont have to stick around and catch them all if they dont want too

Ok, see now, the opening town story is almost done. Once I'm allowed back on the computer, I'll put it on.

Quick question do we want the first dungeon in the second town or further on. I'll let you decide, but in my opinion if it is in the 2nd then it is too early on in the game.

earthwarrior : I have, though I am having trouble with the gif uploading. As I said on your profile, I am making a video on it when I have done a decent amount. I have done what was pallet town (Needs a new name I guess) and route 1, I have almost finished the 2nd town but I am not sure where to delete the current events and scripts (apart from warps and signs) or keep them for someone to edit around the original.

I have a good idea for the third town. How about a fruit cart owner will give you an item to help you to reach the next key, and he gives it to you IF you give him the stolen fruit of his that a member of Team Phantom stole. I think the level should be like Staten Island from New York City, US.
