I agree, Disney was the company that created CARTOONS. Not these reality shows, although kids do enjoy them. The main fact though is that Disney seems to have left animated cartoon series in the dust. I truly think it's sad because as a child I always looked forward to watching the cartoons on Disney.

Yes. After getting rid of all of the good shows that used to be on, they have really started to go down hill big time. And I mean BIG time.

Well I don't watch it because the shows just aren't my taste . The days with Kim Possible and Lilo And Stitch were when I watched . I would no go as far as to say " Sucks " but I'd say " Lost some quality "

Kind of depends for me. I still like some recent movies that Disney released. The shows, on the other hand... well I didn't like most of the shows that were on the last time I saw TV, and I heard some new ones are not too good either... I can't really say it sucks now though without actually watching those shows first, but the new ones I heard don't sound interesting to me.

I don't think he actually had Nazi sympathies. It seems to be a media based theory based on a few of his meetings but with no true evidence that he had any prewar sympathy for Nazis or supported them during the war.
Disney channel shows aren't my taste but might have been had I watched it more instead of Nickelodeon a few years ago. There are definitely a few shows on there that I think are wastes, but I did like "Good luck Charlie" and "Wizards of Waverly" a little.

It is a close call, but I am going to have to go with no. Their new shows on the dumb channel with real people are sad, tasteless humor, but their animated movies, like Frozen, which I have seen recently, obviously have the same heart and soul put into them during production. They should drop the pathetic "comedy" shows they air, and stick to what they do best - cartoons.

I don't think disney could ever suck, they'll always be great in my opinion, their movies are always great. if anything they'll still be standing when every other company goes downhill.

They still make good movies, especially Pixar, but they've long fallen from grace in terms of TV. After they were done disposing of all the good shows, they replaced them with crappy (excluding the suite life, which too went into the can) live action ones.

xandermartin98 :

I forgot Wreck-it-Ralph was a movie about video games after the last 63% of it took place in Strawberry Shortcake land.

Sugar rush, wow, I love remembering playing that game when I was a little boy.

Oh wait, that wasn't really a game, and I would have never played it if it was a game anyways.

Sword legion : It wasnt a movie about "lol I remember that. Nostalgia!", it was about a villain that really only had the title of a villain, and was treated badly outside the game, and wanted to be known as a good guy, and later helps a bullied girl into the center stage.

Sugar Rush looked like a damn awesome cart racer, it would have been a great game.

Disney themselves are a cold company, but they make heartfelt product, like Wreck it Ralph and Frozen.

Disney XD and Disney Jr shouldn't be thought of in the same galaxy as the word "Quality" though. They're just awful.

They did a great job with Iron Man 3, Thor, and The Avengers, I can't wait for Star Wars, Ant Man, and Cap America 2.

Also, all of that Nazi stuff is made up. Don't believe everything you hear.

Yeah, the last 63% of the movie took place in strawberry shortcake land and I forgot that it was a video games movie. Isn't that what it was made out to be in the first place, a movie about video games? but in the end, the video game aspect may as well not existed. yes the video game aspect helped some, but they didn't use it enough to bring out all the potential, I would have written a completely different story and actually made Sonic, or Mario, or Sateen important characters.

How much better would they have done if they actually used Sonic or maybe Mario rather than make up a fake games. Sorry, but I hate Disney, even since I was little. I want Sega to start making movies.

I would very much argue on whether they make heartfelt movies or not. They've already passed off the word "sex" subtly in many of their films. such as in the Loin king, and a picture of a naked lady in the Rescue Rangers. That is disgusting to put in a children's film.

People talk about how the numbers 33 had to do with something other than Free masonry, here's what I found:

"
There are various origins that have been claimed for the name “Club 33”. One says the Club 33 was named for Disneyland’s 33 sponsors at the time. Another explanation is the Walt Disney chose the name simply because he liked the way “33” looked. One employee states, “33” was chosen because Walt’s lucky number was 3. These are all false; the Club 33 stands for Walt Disney was a “33rd” Degree Scottish Rite Freemason. This is a fact, provided from Wikipedia; the image below is the door to Club “33” at Disneyland."

Also:

"Disney use illuminati mind-control through their cartoons. The amount of subliminal messaging they use is beyond your imagination. Disney have been caught out so many times through their animation, they had to censor their cartoons and re-release them on DVD because people caught them out."

Now, to be honest, I think that mind-control is a bit of a strong word, but I've seen many of the sickly things that Disney has sublimely put in their cartoons. I think that they had an agenda. I doubt that Walt Disney was anti Semitic, cause he donated to Jewish charities, although I may want to look into that more to.

What does subliminal mean?

"
The word subliminal literally means “below threshold”. To elaborate on this it means that you are not aware of the message it is below the threshold of your conscious perception. However you will still take the message in on some level as your subconscious mind processes it and stores this information still. Subliminal messaging therefore refers to the action of sending a suggestion directly into the subconscious mind."

Almost all of the cartoons made by disney have these messages, even to the early mickey mouse goofy short movies.

Sword legion :

Video games werent the point of the movie, the main character was, and it wouldnt be very original or as new if a foriegn character like Mario or Sonic stepped in. The message of the movie was prominent, and the setting, a video game, does not need to be the plot.

It would be rediculous if Barnyard was about animals looking around a barn, so it's focused on characters, and their transformarions.

Companies need original characters to make brands, too. It was cool enough to have so many references, but it would be easily good without them.

The reason it stayed there is because Ralph had a duty to prove his goodness, and it really isnt an issue to have somewhere static, especially a place as large as a video game racer.

I don't personally belive in the illuminati or The Patriots, I very much so think of those messages to be put in by staff members at large thinking "haha I wonder if people will see what I did there".

Freemasons are freemasons. They like to have things like 33 put around so they can think they're important. It has no real relevance.

Disney likely needs to stick with what they do best: quality animation that gets you to feel.  Instead, they've replaced animation with real-life shows, featuring mass-produced, unfunny put-downs and plenty of hate to go around.

I haven't seen Gravity Falls, but Phineas and Ferb is generally really good.  Everything else I know of is mostly comprised of crap!

I liked most of Frozen, Wreck-it-Ralph, Tangled, and even Enchanted, a mostly non-animated Disney movie.  Their movies as of recent are of mostly good quality, but you do have to watch out for bad messages that are hidden deep within some of their movies.  Some bad messages are even at the forefront of some movies.

Better than those are Studio Ghibli films.  The films of theirs I've seen always have a respectful tone, even if the content is sometimes disagreeable.  Ponyo is probably my favorite.

Their are few movies out there today that are wholesome.  Even Disney movies have gone the way of the world.  I wouldn't downright say don't watch the movies at all, but I'd say be careful about what you watch.  Everything you watch has an effect on you.  If you repeatedly expose yourself to messages contrary to that which you know to be true, then you will poison yourself and take away a bit of your own freedom to choose, because you have gone against the truth.  The truth (if followed) gives people the freedom to choose.  That's why a lot of the worry about the messages on the news and such is justified.  Politics is filled with lies and half-truths.  Peer pressure insists that you choose Democrat or Republican, but those names have been tarnished by in-fighting and hatred between the parties.  Disagreements usually are fine, hateful lies and deceiving the public is not.

Wow, I really just went on a tangent there.

*sigh*

The whole "Walt Disney was a Nazi/supported Nazis" argument is so played out. It's like when someone tells you an inspirational quote and then tells you it's from Hitler. What? Like Hitler, because of all the evil he orchestrated what incapable of EVER producing a good thought?

Regardless of whether or not Walt Disney supported Nazism that doesn't mean he didn't have good ideas, or was somehow incapable of creating something that would entertain children everywhere.

I'm inclined to agree with the people that are praising the movies and putting down the live action TV shows. Disney should probably just stick to what they do best, which is animation and end it with that.

In terms of Disney channel shows yes there's only a select few I like (Phineas and Ferb for example) out of their current line up.
As for the movies I think they have gone down in quality however they have had some good movies like Frozen and Wreck it Ralph (Loved all the cameos in it).

I think that Disney can't produce a quality product anymore, because their biggest recent success, Frozen, was only a movie based off of Tangled's models, just changing them a little so people would not recognize it when they payed to go see the film.

Did they ever really have the magic, is the question. It was started by Walt Disney, who was not exactly the greatest person, but he did make some nice stuff (debatable). However, it did not change all that much. Sure, the quality of some of the shows definitely dropped, but it was never all that high to begin with, and I am not even sure if we can consider its origins "magical", but more of something that was there. It was pretty much the only thing available, and did not have all that much competition. Whether something else could have taken its place beforehand, that is another story. Anyways, I feel like Disney does suck, but never had a soul, and has not changed all that much over the years.
