[I dont think i saw a thread for this saw yeah....]

just some fun facts about the place you were born. facts that YOU know not from internet (copy and paste). or if u dont want to share that, then where you live right now. satisfide or would you rather move?

me: born in philippines. live there for 10 years since i was born. fact about it.. OMFG people do not use traffic lights. they just run lights left and right and ends up with traffic jam most of the times. im not trying to lean on which side is better, but america's roads, streets, and stuff are much more civilized.

I disagree. It makes me not to believe that you live in Philippines. Don't tell me you don't know the pathway from NLEX to Manila. or the roads inside NCR ( National Capital Region). There are lots of traffic lights in here. In fact, it makes me feel irritated 'cause there are traffic lights everywhere whenever I drive( yep, I know, I'm still under age for driving). There are about 10 traffic lights that you can see whenever you drive from Manila to Pasig.

.... You don't know much about NCR.... It's a hundred percent different from a province.

Yeah, what you quoted is a better description of what it's like here in Pennsylvania. The worst part, is when you're stuck in an intersection trying to make a left turn and the light turns red, but cars are STILL driving past you. In America, the streets are far less civilized; I guarantee that

But a few more things about my area...so, I live in a suburb just outside of Philly. It's a small but very culturally diverse area. For the most part, the people here are ok, but we have our fair share of a-holes. Anyway, it's a pretty quiet and relaxed area

I'm from Gilbert, Arizona and the driving is just straight most of the time, all the roads are North South East and West, no NE or SE. You're aloud to turn on no arrows as long and the light is green, but there is a lot of speeding because the streets a straight till forever. As a matter of fact on the 60 heading West there is so much speeding they have speed traps every 2-4 miles. I hate them to death, they are the most annoying camera's ever, they send you your picture and your lisence plate picture to you in the mail. They can't make you pay though unless you get served. Ha.

I was born in the Solomon Islands, but I've lived in Australia for 20 years.

What I do know about the Solomons is there are no road rules and yet there are no accidents (also the roads suck!).
Buses are actually pickup trucks that people pay the driver some money, then just jump in the back and find a spot to sit (or somtimes sit on the roof of the cab).
To get to most of the smaller islands from the 3 main ones you either have to take a boat (about 3 days depending on where you are going) or a small plane, even after that you have to charter a small boat to take you anywhere else.
They are still a bit backwards, so quite often people walk around in the nude or with a lava lava (thin material that's wrapped around the body).
Everyone speaks pidgeon plus their own island's dialect. Often the pidgeon will vary with one of two words (dependant on diff. island's dialect).
The two main hair colours you ever see from the natives are dark brown (looks almost black) or blonde with a light brown tinge.

I would go on, but I've probably bored every body by now

how cold does it get in where you aree azaki?

=> I left Tours for Saint-Nazaire, near Nantes, that's farther to the west. It's cold at winter, but not too much to get snow, but at summer, it can get very HOT (a day I've get 40°C ), and an other day it goes around 10°C.

I never went to America, it should be interesting (but america is BIG, so I don't know where to go if a day I want to travel around there xD)

And an other thing, I don't know what see do you put on France, but I've got some friends that never went to France (internet relasionship), and they say me "it seems so cool, Paris is beautiful,...", but it's not really like that (There's some places in Paris (and in every big city I think), where it looks like "GTA" XD).
By the way, some places in france are beautiful and peaceful, huh xD

Apparently you've never been to Milwaukee, Wisconsin...

Born at Mt. Synai hospital. (believe I spelt it right/wrong haha) in Milwaukee. Now the hospital is completely garbage and Milwaukee has hospitals sectioned off..... IE:

West Allis Memorial is for baby deliveries
St. Lukes is mostly heart care/blood etc
Fredoert is all trauma and all the major stuff
Childrens is.... well for children

Theres other but thats the bulk of it.

Edit: I love Milwaukee, lots of reasons... Drunk capital of the nation possibly the world (they compare us to Iceland) Summerfest, theres a lot of other things.

I was born and raised in The Bronx, one of the five boroughs of New York City. Sadly most of the images of New York that people get are of Manhattan, unless you watch Yankee games where they show some images of The Bronx . And it's probably the dirtiest part of NYC . In the winter it's pretty cold (sometimes down to 40F) and in the summer it's hot and humid.

Honestly, I think that most people from America equate Paris with all of France just like a lot of people think that New York City is like all of America. Yes, it is big and shiny, but it isn't the whole country. I would love to see Paris one day... my boyfriend's mom just got back from there and showed me lots of very nice pictures. However, I would also like to see the countryside, perhaps visit the Alsace-Lorraine region to see what all the fighting was about before hopping over to the other side of the Rhine to see spots in Germany I've always wanted to see.

Parts of Los Angeles are nice, but for the most part it is crowded, dirty, and covered in graffiti. But if you want to see most of the sterotypical big attractions LA would be the place to go since it is so close to everything... beaches, mountains, Disneyland, Hollywood, etc etc. It really is one of the most culturally diverse places in the country, especially foodwise. Also, temperture-wise you should be fine. During the summer it gets into the 100s here, but not so often... usually in the 80s-90s. Coastal areas like San Pedro or Redondo Beach might be better since they can get into the mid-70s

But yeah... aside from all that, I guess I will get a bit more specific. I was born in Monterey Park, California (a part of the greater Los Angeles area). I've only been there one time since, while driving around with my parents, so that is all I got for that.

I grew up in South Gate, CA... another part of LA. Let's see... the area of South Gate that I lived in was called Hollydale, so I guess we were a suburb. Most of the actual city was on the other side of the Los Angeles river (most creeks are bigger, they cemented it in to create a glorified storm drain) and most everything else is controlled by our neighboring city, Paramount. South Gate is roughly 98% Latino, mostly from Mexico, with about 60-70% being first generation immigrants (legal and illegal) and thus the majority of the city population does not speak English. South Gate made national news when our Treasurer was brought up on criminal charges (don't remember what anymore). Also, the police department seems to be racially prejudiced against white people... long story there.

I now live in Long Beach, CA. It's part of LA county, but is big enough that it is not considered a part of Los Angeles. Long Beach has it's own port, right next to the Port of LA and the two combined are one of the biggest ports in the country. Long Beach is also home to the famous ocean liner, the Queen Mary and once home to the Spruce Goose (which was built here). Long Beach was originally called Wilmore City, but the named was changed because they felt that since the long beach was the city's main attraction the name should be changed to reflect that.

In the middle of Long Beach is Signal Hill... which tries very hard to be it's own city but it really isn't. Signal Hill is famous because it is full, and I mean really full, of oil. If you saw the movie There Will Be Blood, the big operation he is working on when that guy comes to talk to him about his family's land was the oil wells in Signal Hill.

Long Beach is also awesome because it is right next door to Orange County (read: Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm... and for most members of this board, the only hardcore Republican bastion in this state, since all the rich folk live there). So yeah, close to LA, close to the stuff in OC, and right on the coast. Oh... and Long Beach has the biggest aquarium in the area outside of Sea World down in San Diego (2-3 hour drive). We have sharks... that is all I am saying.

Honestly, I could go on and on about the history of the region that I live in, but it might drive you all crazy. If you have any questions though I would be happy to answer them.

Looks like I'm the only one from the South who has posted so far.

I live in Chattanooga, TN -- actually, one of the suburbs (where they make the Little Debbie snack cakes), but I just say Chattanooga. Makes it easier.

A lot of people down here can't drive (surprise, surprise) but it's a nice area. There's not a lot of jobs, although we did get the Volkswagen plant that will be built in the next couple of years. A nice place to visit, not really to live if you want a good job. I work from home and make pretty good pay so I can't complain.

It always seems like there's road construction going on in TN...never figured out why..

Anyway, Chattanooga is about two hours from Atlanta, an hour and a half from Knoxville, and about three hours from Nashville so not too bad. You could pretty much get to most of the surrounding states within a few hours. I think it's four hours to get to Asheville.

And of course TN is a red state, so almost all our neighbors, except maybe two, are Republican. We're Democrat, and our neighbor, who moved here from Jersey, likes to give us a hard time about it.

I think that's about it...

I couldn't record my own voice because i tend to be incredibly shy. Sorry to disappoint.

actually. that was really interesting. i wanna learn the pidgeon language. do you know how to uhmm.. speak it? like some example on how they actually talk?

If you check https://www.vizzed.com/vizzedboard/thread.php?id=3393&page=3 I did type a little in pidgeon, but I'm not that fluent so there is a lot more english in there then you would hear at the Islands.
Essentially you can understand pidgeon easily because its just broken english.

Here are some other random facts:
Everybody helps raise the children (we have very large families so somehow you always end up with over 10 mothers )
Their currency isn't very strong so everything is expensive to them (about $1 australian is $8 in the solomons)
There are a few beaches there with black/grey sand
