I will not say Pokémon since that's what they do all the time rpg. My favorite rpg would have to be Mario and Luigi bowsers inside story. It been a while since bowser has joined Mario. The game looks pretty great for a 2d ds game. Also I like how the rpg is played out. The game can be very hard or very easy on how you play the game out and what items you use. The story kinda jumps when it starts but after that it's get better. It goes to a problem called the blorg and nobody knows why it is happening. After that fawful comes and everything from there is flawful wants to the mushroom kingdom. I love the sound track. Some of of the songs get stuck in my head.

PixelBrick : I don't know tough one to answer. In general I'd say Skyrim or any of the KH games, but I'm playing through Borderlands 2 right now and am pleasantly surprised how they blended an FPS style game with a some RPG aspects too (looting the dead, multiple story's etc. etc.).
