Man, I didn't see a thread on this guy. So if there is one my bad. But I think it's crazy that he was, well, pretty much slaughtered. He was the current quarterback for the Tennessee Titans, Mr. Air McNair him self was killed my his mistress. At first I heard he was shot, I was like dang, he could have lived....then I heard it was in the head! I was like dang, he's dead for sure, BUT THEN! I heard she shot him TWICE in the head and twice in the chest. I even heard he order: Right temple, two in the chest, then left temple. Then his mistress shot herself in the head and was dead in his lap. Crazy stuff. He had a wife and kids too. Sucks.... At least it for sure gives Vince Young the spot, well not give, he'll be able to compete against some other dude I don't know about. But it's sad.....so many deaths in just 2 months!

Oh no, some overpaid sportsnut jock got killed by his mistress.
Forgive me if I don't shed a tear.
He had a wife and kids too? Then why wasnt he home with them?
Sounds to me like a worthless scumbag got what he deserved.
Maybe thats why theres no thread about him.
Seriously, do we have to keep doing this everytime some good for nothing nobody bites the dust?
Sure maybe Micheal Jackson was thread worthy, but a telemarketer and a footballer?
Who gives a damn.

Regardless, the fact that a man that was playing in the league and was a key role in an offense for a team you watch isn't going to be there is weird. And I would like to also end it with, professional athletes are in no way overpaid. The consumers drive the market and it is a big one so money is used accordingly due to the popularity of a player and what teams are willings to bid for their abilities to help their teams on the field to win championships are of course bring more popularity to their team to make more money. He was paid accordingly and was a tremendous player, his character off the field shouldn't judge his worth in the league.

Maybe we would make more money if people paid to see us do our jobs, they are getting way more money then they deserve.

You can work for the biggest franchises in the world like oh I don't know... McDonalds, your a key player, but you get paid crap.

Athletes make what like 6x + more then we do. Anyone who has a fararri in their driveway to a house the size of walmart definitly get overpaid

Like I said, it's the market. You make an invention that makes millions, do you not deserve the millions? Or no, you can buy too much stuff with it you are overpaid for your product. I think not, if a mass amount of the money is put in from us, the fans, why not pay the athletes, I mean. Before the athletics were such a huge market athletes would have to work side jobs because it wasn't enough. Not enough consumers. As the popularity of the sport increased, the consumers increased having more and more money come into the program. And as a matter of fact, if people demanded to watch you make fries in general and are willing to pay to see you. Then different businesses would pretty much bid for you to work in their establishment so they can have people come to their restraunt for them to make more money. The more people you were able to bring in, the more your value would be making you more money. But the only place that kind of stuff happens is in sports. Possibly other places that aren't to my knowledge. Now the real people that are overpaid are CEO's, they don't do anything, yet they make bank. The only conclusion that would explain why people think athletes are overpaid is plainly....jelousy.

This thread is turning into pure idiocy.
"professional athletes are in no way overpaid"?
People that help us and protect us are hardly paid anything yet meatheads that do nothing but "entertain" the drooling masses are paid millions? Yeah, thats fair...
If people were paid according to their actual worth, sports people would be paid so little they would have to ask beggars for cash.
"Now the real people that are overpaid are CEO's, they don't do anything, yet they make bank."
That sounds just like sports people. They dont do anything of any worth yet they make a fortune.

And in most everything else having more consumers lowers the end cost, not raise it.
Maybe instead of paying these people lots of money to live the good life you could help things that matter, like medicine devolopment, reducing poverty, etc.

I'm trashing this because it's obviously not about anything but flaming people.
