UFO : Uh, you don't get benefits for 'coming out of the closet'. Where in the world did you get that logic. This allows a homosexual couple to be able to have the same right to marriage any other citizen does. It doesn't give them extra benefits just for being a homosexual (or of any skin color). This is specifically about marriage. And if you are going to claim that people can claim to be gay and get married for marriage benefits, that logic has no merit as any man and woman can do that (and many already do). You really need to explain what you mean because as of now, what you are saying has absolutely no logical value.

I personally think its a step towards equality, and as a straight man, I fully support it, I'm even quite happy about it.
