Ah...christmas day, who could ever forget unwrapping a super Nintendo and donkey Kong country? You guys know I couldn't! Donkey Kong country has to be one of the greatest plaformers to ever grace the Super Nintendo! Years later, Nintendo decided to port this masterpiece to the GBA! So to us, that meant we can all enjoy donkey Kong and diddy Kong's adventures on the go!

Story-10/10
On a dark and story night in Donkey Kong Island, Diddy Kong has taken the weighty responsibility of guarding DK's precious banana hoard for one night, as a part of his hero training, DK entrusts Diddy with protecting the hoard until midnight, where he is relived, while DK, himself, goes to sleep as he is tired. Everything seems to go smoothly in the hoard until Diddy hears noises. He heres voices outside and gets scared, asking "who's there?" It happens to be King K Rool, who ha commanded his Kremlin minions and steal the bananas and to seal Diddy inside a barrel and then hide him in the bushes. Cranky rushes to the treehouse to tell donkey kong to wake up so he may tell him what happened. He then tells DK to check his banana cave. DK is infuriated, exclaiming that the kremlins will pay for stealing his bananas and kidnapping diddy. DK goes on to say that he will huny every corner of the island for his bananas back. During this time, King K Rool presumably loaded his cargo onto the gangplank galleon.

Gameplay-10/10
Donkey kong and diddy kong work together in the adventure to get their bananas back. The gameplay in the game introduces a unique "Tag team" element into play, unseen in most platformer games such as Super mario world, which was VERY popular at the time. For example, if one kong is to be attacked and hurt, he will run away in pain, and is out of play until a DK barrel is broken. Once both are defeated or either falls into a bottomless pit, you lose a life. Donkey and diddy follow each other throughout the adventure, with their own unique attributes. Diddy can run slightly faster and can cartwheel and jump farther. DK runs a little slower, and his barrel rolling does not go as far as Diddy's cartwheel, Though DK has his own special move called "Hand slap" which can kill most enemies instantly.

Graphics-10/10
Did you know? this game is known for being the first game to use pre-rendered sprites, creating a 3D effect throughout the game. The graphics were made with expensive sillicon 3D graphic models and compressed for 2D SNES. This allowed them to have more detail in animations and large amounts of detail for a 16-bit console, which was revolutionary at the time!  Otherwise, the graphics are some of the best i have seen a while! Everything is vibrant and bursting with color!

Sound-10/10
Ah the soundtrack....it was pretty awesome at the time! all the music fits the music perfectly! Heck! some songs from this game are still remembered today! They should!

Addictivness-10/10
This game is SO MUCH FUN! I mean collecting everything is challenging, but stll! that's how it's supposed to be like! The multiplayer is pretty fun too!

Depth-10/10
Would you belive me when i say this game has a ton of replay value? I'm not kidding! Each level has a bunch of items to collect! and finding all of them is quite hard!

Difficulty-8/10
Ah...when i review nintendo games, the difficulty is always going to be a 7 or an 8! There is a reason for all of this! Certain levels in this game can make you mad! But don't fuss....i mean this is nintendo....

Overall! this is my second game to get a 10 from me! there is a reason for all this! Cause this game is one of the greatest platformers from nintendo! I highly recomend this game at all costs!
