Here's one that I think you might have some strong opinions on...or you might surprise me by being really unconcerned with it.

If you could change one thing about the modern game industry, what would it be?

gamerforlifeforever : Yeah he should have retired a few years ago. I find it pretty funny that some reporters (ESPN in particular) are acting like Romo retiring is like losing one of the NFL greats. Dude was a mediocre QB with 2 playoff wins his entire career. Didn't even play in an NFC title game. I find it interesting that CBS was just willing to throw the top Analyst job at him with zero experience. If I was SIMS I might be kinda irritated

A user of this : I'm not a huge dessert person. But I do love Key Lime Pie, Ice Cream, Brownies. That sort of stuff.

Eirinn : eh, there's a lot about the modern gaming industry that I could rant on about for hours. Micro Transactions, Freemium Games, Releasing Games before they are complete, then releasing features that should have been in the game in future patches or DLC. Like the end user is the Beta tester. That's not to even mention that all the biggest games in the industry for the most part are yearly or bi-yearly installments. Basically which wind up being the same game over and over again with only a few updates.

There's so much its hard to know where to start ;-)

Mynamescox44 : Not really. I spent enough time here as staff to fully understand the babysitting involved and all the BS that goes on (or doesn't) go on behind the scenes.

A user of this : Oh there's plenty of people I would like to slap right in the face. Starting with my Boss, but I would prefer to not name them all in this thread ;-)

I figured you might have a few things you wanted to improve. lol And for the record I agree on all of them, especially micro transactions (including paid DLC). And I remember I believe it was Shuhei Yoshida said that he really doesn't like people who make yearly installments. lol It was said jokingly, but the principle resonated for sure.

Okay, new question: If you could revive any dead game series, what would it be? This also includes games that didn't achieve "series" status, and only had one or two titles.
Personally I'd pick Bushido Blade or Genji.

Hi, Jordanv78! =) Are you still interested in playing Terraria on Steam? I had some issues with the game for a while, but I'll still try to fix it to go back and play it once I have some more time. lol If you're interested in playing, and you don't mind me joining you, when would you have time to play? =)

There's less than 14 days til the draft. On a scale of 1-10, how much do you want the draft to just get here already?

A user of this : Well I guess I will have to go with Sailor Moon, considering Real Housewives isn't Anime ;-)

Eirinn : That's a really good question. Just off the top of my head, some games/franchises I would like to see get a sequel or revive a series:

1. The Chrono Series
2. Shenmue
3. Perfect Dark
4. Crash Bandicoot
5. F-Zero
6. Blaster Master
7. Guardian Legend.

I'm sure there's others that I'm missing but those are the ones that come to my mind right away.

Yuna1000 : I would love to have someone else to play with. I've been trying to get back into it over the past couple weeks. I'm still pretty newbish, but it would probably help keep me interested if someone else was actively playing with me.

gamerforlifeforever : 7 Honestly the buildup to the draft is probably more interesting to me than the actual draft itself. Although I DO find it somewhat interesting, I don't go all crazy about it because really you don't know what you are getting until the season starts.

A user of this : To be honest, I don't know. I guess because the Genre has several awesome retro franchises? Maybe it's easy to forget about Double Dragon if they didn't grow up with it.

I think it depends on the Collectathon. I personally feel like Banjo Kazooie has always been overrated. Sure it has cute characters and the graphics are decent for N64, but it gets tedious and boring fast. It also feels like it holds your hand throughout which I find annoying. These type of games I feel were the beginning of the issue we have with modern games now either being too easy, or doing too much hand-holding...but a game like World of Warcraft was hugely satisfying in it's heyday, even though it could be also categorized as a Collectathon. The difference being that there are other things that can keep you engrossed in game long term.

I'm old school. I like the berry flavored ones. With the icing/sprinkles. Although I don't eat them very often anymore.

A user of this : I've read a little bit about specialty runners in Mario 64 and the whole debate on what denotes an A press and all of that. While watching a video in the past, I just got annoyed by the whole argument lol

I would probably have to say Didgeridoo - Just sounds cool when played well.

Zlinqx : Well there have been a bunch so it's hard to remember the level of disappointment. Some, like Back to the Future or Rambo for the NES, bad games that should have been better if for nothing else than because the franchises they were based on were provided plenty of great and cool inspiration.

Some others that I can think of just based on hype:

1. Duke Nukem Forever - Fans of 3D waiting for years for a good game had to wait even longer.
2. Mighty No. 9
3. No mans Sky
4. Metroid Other M

gamerforlifeforever : Man, that's a really good question. The NES, SNES and Gameboy all had great libraries of games and were innovative for their generation. If you really twisted my arm for an answer I would go with the NES, due to the huge jump it took in gaming from the previous generation.

Worst? I don't think anyone would argue it's the Virtual Boy. Closely followed by the WiiU. For different reasons. Virtual Boy just reached to far for Tech that wasn't really there yet. People don't want to play games that hurt there eyes. The console itself wasn't really that portable and was cumbersome to say the least.
The Wii U just didn't have great marketing at all and although they did try to do something new, they really needed that tablet to be fully portable and detachable from the console itself.

AuroVee : Living in the USA, I won't pretend to be a huge expert in the Brexit strategy for the UK. Although part of the reason the EU(and it's predecessor) were created was to make it easier for countries to trade within and to make immigration/travel between countries easier. In my opinion with the close proximity of all these countries it helps ALL of them to try to operate as a Union rather than separately. If France leaves as well, I could see the smaller countries in the EU suffer greatly. Although people supporting Brexit will probably argue that they are sick of holding up struggling countries. So an alternate solution is probably needed by all.

Games that I didn't really think that I would like before playing it, but wound up liking after playing it

1. World of Warcraft. A friend at work browbeat me into playing this game right before the BC expansion came out. I initially scoffed at the idea of paying monthly for a game, but once I started playing it I just LOVED it. Played religiously through the WoTLK days. Although I stopped playing it after that, It's probably among my favorite games of all time.

Another game I didn't expect to like but was pleasantly surprised was Pikmin. Sounded like a strange concept, but wound up being one of my more favorite games on the GC.

*edit - Sorry for not summoning you.

On the topic of blizzard games, what do you think of the starcraft games?

What is the best free to play game you've ever played?

What is the best indie game you've ever played?
