In my opinion its as simple as this:

Homework - obviously, work you should do AT HOME. Whatever assignments you don't get done in class or whatever assignments your teacher assigns you to do to be returned the next day. So you have no choice but to do that assignment when you go home that day.

Classwork - again obviously, work you should do IN CLASS. Every once in a while a teacher would give you an assignment at the beginning of class to be turned in at the end of class. Therefore, you should do that assignment while your still in class.

This is just from my experience. Of course, other people's opinion may differ greatly from mine, but its as simple as that isn't it?

I prefer the homework to be at school, since you have enough time to just relax, and prepare for the next day. I just hate having a lot of work at home, then you don't have any time to do anything when you're done.

I prefer Homework to be done at home because home work was meant for extra help in a  lesson in a course and to better and further explain a lesson that you learned in a short 45- 1hour and 30 minute class.

I am no longer at school, but when I was there I thought we shouldn't get homework and I still think the same now. It's not like you don't do the same thing actually at school. You go home for a break from school work.

Well that's a little easy, homework is to be done both at home and school that way when I go home I have half the amount of home work I need to do, plus my mom always wants to see if I have done it at school. (because when i'm at school I kinda rush).

I hate homework.
I always prefer doing anything school related at the school because I have a much easier time working at school and if I have a question the teacher can answer it so I can be done once I come home.
And I don't see what the purpose of it really its the same exact things we did in school.
Meaning we don't really learn anything from doing it.
Id rather have a longer school day then homework.

I'm going for school. I want to relax, not have more school after school. It's painful. I do my homework at school. In the morning, or I squish it in during some class I'm bored in. Or, before I leave, I try to finish it in last period. I like a calm, boring area for work. Not a loud, fun one.

My teachers always have extra time in class to get a head start on homework and I usually take it so I don't have to be bothered with it at home, so I usually take the opportunity. If it is a simple sheet or assignment I can get it pretty much all done at school but if it is a bigger assignment, I can start it at school and finish it at home.

Classwork is meant to be done in class, if you could take it home, there would be no point in calling it classwork now would there? So that is the difference, classwork is done in class at school and is your responsibility to finish it before class is over while homework can be done at school if there us spare time or started at school and finished at home.

So that is my point on the matter, they are specifically called CLASSwork and HOMEwork for a reason, so they should be done either in CLASS or at HOME respectively.
