You will be missed.

It is a shame, though I wasn't much of a fan of MJ myself. I'm a bit guilty for holding bias against him, because of his whole skin-changing ordeal and the child molestation charges. (Whether he did or didn't...it was in court, so either way, I wouldn't trust him with my younger brother.)

But since he's gone, it makes you think back to his golden era and he did leave a mark on the world with his music. In a way, the world did lose an icon.

Blurred the line between black and white? That was one of the dumbest things the media has said honestly. Lots of artists have fans across the color lines, many before MJ (examples: Elvis, Duke Ellington, Lionel Richie, etc). They only said that because his skin changed color... and honestly when you look at it that way it is kinda f***ed up to say that.

Armydude: Thank you. Race is a socially constructed concept, it's not real. Now introduce a different species like Martians or Elves or something, then racism is possible... and in that case go Elves, but it's not so meh.

But yeah, now that the memorial service is over I am hoping that this will die down. I know the reporters are sick of covering it already but they must cater to the whim of the public and the public is moronically stupid on the whole apparently since they would rather have coverage of Jackson's will on CNN than actual news.

On the plus side, at least he succeeded on making his comeback... albeit not in the way that he anticipated.

Honestly, I don't believe that he molested those children. In his childhood, he was forced to act like an adult, his father beat him if he did ANYTHING wrong. I think that, because of his father, it caused him to believe that he was still a child. So, to him, it was just a get-together with his friends.

As for his skin, it turned white because of a disease that destroyed his skin pigmentation. Many people have some sort of this disease on some part of his body. He was one of the very unlucky ones that had it all over.

On the Child-sex incident, I like how you put it. Even if he didn't do it, he was mentally broken due to his own child abuse by his father. One guy I know said that people would sue for anything...even if it isn't true.
As for his skin, I never knew it could of been because of disease. I thought he did it through surgery, but then I looked that up. It's actually a wide-spread controversy on whether he bleached it or if it was a disease. In the end, who knows? And better yet, Who Cares? He sang and entertained an entire generation of people, maybe two generations. That's what should matter.

Yet nobody else seems to know that he was an anti-semite...
