i watched ALOT of tom and jerry

Oh the memories.
I'm only 14 and I have watched most of the ones you guys have mentioned:
Tom and Jerry
Rugrats
Johnny Bravo
Cat Dog
Cow & Chicken
Scooby-Doo
Looney-Tunes
TMNT
etc. etc.

i like transformers g1, gi-joe, teenturbo, archie series, where's wally(it made dizzy searching him with many characters on screen tv,:LOL,i love mr bogus, ninja turtles, ghost busters, he-man and she-ra,thundercats,senturions,brave stars, ewoks cartoons, karatecat, garfield, super friends, dinoriders, dinosausers, walt desney cartoons, loony toons,jetsons,flintstones, simpsons, wow, there so many of them, and i want to see and watch them again and theres a lot more in my mind and i cant remember the titles, ohh...the legend of zelda, it reminded me of my childhood memmories when i say to my childhood crush to.... kiss me princess, then she said no and i said, excuuuse me, princess...., thats so lovelly...

I always watched Cartoon Network. But now I don't they replaced all the good cartoons.( Johnny Bravo, X-men, TMNT, Spiderman, Toonami, etc.) didn't watch much besides that.

I still like to watch those old ones like Doug and that one monsters one with the red monster and the monster that held his eyes in his hands and the long skinny white black one with the big red lips, what is that one? I forget. But all the ones around that time rocked.

Don't know if you guys remember Mighty Max, or Captain Planet...all of those old nick shows and cartoon network shows were good too. Like angry beavers...the cartoons they play now are not good at all.

Lets see what other ones.. I use to watch space ghost, Beast wars, that was the transformers cartoon where they turned into animals.

Or the old tales from the crypt cartoon? I wish they still played all these shows...

After reading a lot of the entries, I was glad to see that there was a variety of opinions on cartoons. Myself, I have always been a fan of the original cartoons like the Flinstones and Scooby Doo, but as time wore on I also found myself enjoying the development of Disney and Nick. Disney had interesting shows like Darkwing Duck and Fraggle Rock, but Nick also have a few gems like the Angry Beavers, Rocko's Modern life, and of course Ren and Stimpy. I do like how a lot of the newer cartoons have remained true to the scenario of each episode having an obstacle for the main characters to overcome with minor bumps and bruises along the way. Of course you can't foret great shows like Ghostbusters, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Transformers, but its also nice to see that every now and again a new batch of quality cartoons will come out. I only wonder what cartoons will be remembered years from now and which ones will simply have fallen through the cracks of time.

A lot of the cartoons I've watched were already mentioned,
but in my opinion the one of the greatest cartoons of all
time is the Max Fleischer Superman cartoon from the 40's

Cookieman, you're thinking of AAAHH! Real Monsters, which is also one of my favorites. Also, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, Rugrats, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and a host of others. (Rocky and Bullwinkle reference.)

Well I look up to Hanna-Barbera so my favorite old school cartoon goes to Tom&Jerry. But I'm a fan of other classic cartoons such as The Jetsons, Scooby Doo, The Flintstones, Looney Tunes, ect.

As for other newer cartoons it was Rockos Modern Life, Dexters Laboratory, Johnny Bravo, Cow & Chicken, and alot more.

You should check out max fleischer's superman, it's from the 1940s.
It has an almost beautiful art style, more so if you're into diesel punk stuff. The stories are alot of fun too, jsut about everything in an episode fits into a romanticized view of the era, but who cares
If you are into jazz/swing there are alot of good cartoons from this time too, granted some of these tend to be horribly unpc tis a shame too.
Most of these you can find on youtube, and if interested check out the banned 11. Its kind of interesting to see the differences in what is and what isn't acceptable between then and now.
There's also a thing/site called tvu. That has streaming vid, some of the channels are dedicated to retro cartoons
I saw one recently that was so bad it was hilarious "journey to the center of the earth" It has to be the inspiration for venture bros. hell, there was a big blonde swedish body guard that had a goose as a side kick for some reason.
Oddly, I noticed alot of the earlier cartoons are better animated then the stuff from the 60s I'm guessing tv is the blame for this

i watched a lot of those shows that were mentioned...i totally forgot about reboot though. by far my favorite cartoon was batman: the animated series its much better than the batman cartoons they have on tv now.

Tom and Jerry was one of the shows I used to watch a lot when I was a a small kid...

I liked watching reruns of Johnny Quest as a kid. I thought they were the coolest thing ever, but compared to T.V. nowadays, these shows wouldn't stand a chance against other kid shows.

Yeah...I remember watching that show also! ...but now I don't know how I used to like it...

Honestly, anything made before the mid/late 90s was good (ex Looney Tunes through Ah Real Monsters) I don't think that Reboot was an American cartoon by the way.

But yes, Looney Tunes is THE most epic cartoon ever because it has been around since the 40s at least... though to be honest I don't really like more modern episodes because I feel they are not as good. Nickelodeon cartoons were good though Ah Real Monsters, but honestly they were already going downhill by then. Tom & Jerry is awesome, but old Tom & Jerry. Honestly, I hate CN's original series'... Courage had it's moments but for the most part the plots were already lame and the animation quality is pathetic compared to older cartoons. Cow & Chicken, unequivocally is the one I hate most...it basically ripped off Ren & Stimpy and tried to go baser. See, I love R&S because it was original, but everything that is trying to be like it just sucks in comparison.

Does anyone remember the .....A-TEAM!!! That show was awesome and also dexter's labratory, johnny bravo and a few chosen others.
