Oh! I have an idea, and I don't mean it sarcastically. Even I like this (But I'm a bit weird, so maybe it's a good idea NOT to listen to me). Just turn on any channel which shows static, or maybe just kick the TV a little. I like to imagine pictures...

Another one is just turn on any show, mute it, and make up your own scripts. (Great fun!)

Well no one has mentioned Arrow. Its a show about the lesser known DC vigilante The Green Arrow and his fellow heroes. It takes place in a fictional city on the eastern cost of United States and on an island of exile within the far east 5 years before the main story. A great show if your into Super Heroes and a fresh look at an old hero who hasn't had much development in the past.

Whenever anyone asks for a new show I usually recommend Supernatural. It's the story of these two guys who hunt things initially to find there dad, but eventually get involved in various, complicated, earth-saving plotlines.

I would suggest watching King of the Nerds. It isn't airing right now because Season 2 just ended, but you should go back and watch Seasons 1 and 2 as they have a very good cast of people in the challenges.

Ok so I take it that you mean shows currently running on television now or will be soon. Here's my list of those that I like to watch a lot. 
Grimm, The Walking Dead, Gotham, State of Affairs, The Flash, The Arrow, Face Off, The 100, Supernatural, Vikings, Sons of Anarchy, Game of Thrones, Defiance, Salem, Hell on Wheels, and The Blacklist.

Now for shows I like that you might want to check out. These are cancelled shows but still good shows to watch. 
Sanctuary, Alphas, The 4400, Stargate ( take your pick which one ), Fringe, Babylon 5, Earth 2, Falling Skies, V ( the original is better but 2009 version is also ok ), Battlestar Galactica ( the original to me is better but either is worth watching), Prison Break, Doctor Who, Heroes, Firefly, Farscape, Terra Nova, Sliders, Quantum Leap, Haven, Jericho, and The Dead Zone. 

I could put a lot more shows on here but I just wanted to give you a good variety to check out. Hopefully you'll find something you like. If not then I tried. Enjoy if you do.
