i believe mew is the strongest in the whole series not only because it has very high stats but also because it can learn every move which exists.

Mew is ok, but if it was hit by a ghost or dark attack it would be KOd pretty fast

The strongest pokemon is probably Giratina because it can learn some of the most powerful moves like Shadow force and Aura Sphere, and it's a Ghost/Dragon type so there are only a few types that would be affective against it.

I think that deoxys is the best because it can change forms from normal, attack, defense and speed. This can be used to your advantage during battles, but you have to go to veilstone to change.

Arceus is probally one of the most versatile in the game, but it is only usefull if you know who/what you are fighting next.
The thing about legendarys is that they are meant to be strong.
Arceus has the higest base stat, but it in no way means that others can't be stronger given good natures and IV's.

Mew is also up there because of its ability to learn the most moves.

I think though I will go with Dialga as it's one of the most resistant Pokemon in the game so it can take most attacks with no problems.

I would go with shaymin or Dialga. shaymin can be vary strong, just like dialga. shaymin also learns vary good move in both forms. dialga, however, has the best move, roar of time, witch is vary strong and can wipe out a lot of pokemon..
