No, the cloning cheat cant be used as it requires you to trade pokemon and then turn off the cartridge.
But I dont see the point in the cloning cheat unless you can trade anyway.
More then one of the same thing can get pretty dull.

Cloning for Pokemon Silver didn't require trading, though I have heard that could be used as well. I haven't tested it on vizzed, but how it worked is you deposit pokemon in the pc, then change the PC box, and while it is saving, turn the game off (close the game?), then back on and they should be in the box AND in your party, along with any items they were holding.
