What was the biggest fail in any of the Pokémon video games for you.

Trying to capture a Groundon in ruby with only one ultra ball, I weakened it to only maybe 20 hp and it was paralyzed.

When I was younger my charizard knew cut fly ember and strength, and he was my only poke on my team.... ahh I was young.

Accidentally hitting the runaway button instead of the bag button when trying to catch a Chansey.

Ohh how much this glitch was abused to gain a hell of a lot of master-balls, rare candies and so much more...
Not like I abused it or anything *cough*

I'm playing my Pokémon Diamond back like 2 years ago. I have basically leveled up my team to all level 60, and it took awhile. I only needed one more member to complete my team: Giratina. I go to the tombs place after beating the 7th gym leader, and go through. I eventually get an encounter with Giratina. I get it down to like 10 HP, and I use my 1st ultra ball. It doesn't work. I use another one. Still doesn't work. I use my last ultra ball. Doesn't work. I use my remaining poke balls (20 or so), but I don't get the capture. I end up killing it, and for some extremely stupid reason, I end up saving the game. I either had to restart my game, after spending about 20 hours grinding my Pokémon, and much more playing through the storyline, or go on without it, which I pretty much couldn't do. HARGLEBLARGLE!!

For me the biggest fail of gamefreak is ghastly, haunter, and gengar
or wel.. till the third gen. from fourth generation of games the fail is restored.
but in pokemon fire red leaf green emerald ruby saphire and all other games before the ds games. ghastly and he's 2 evolutions are based on special attack. but since ghost moves are based on the attack stat instead of the special attack stat the ghost attacks are really useless.. the best move set is always: hypnossis, dream eater, nightmare/curse/toxic some other random move (prefer a special attack provided type move)
since ghost pokemon where nothing in the past older games like red and blue. the stats of gengar didn't really care..
but since the new and channged weakness triangle and the adding of dark pokemons ghost pokemon got them self a big advantage against psyhic pokemon. since ghost moves are based on attack stat. and most of the psyhic pokemon used to have lower defence then special defence this maks perfect sense.. but since gengar's base special attack is 130 and attack is 65 he's ghost attack are like teaching flamethrower to a shuckle..(makes no sense i know..)

i'm glad they altered the type and move system into pysical and special.since now moves like shadow ball are based on special attack. so gengar can finally make use of he's high special attack.

banette is perfect altered in the third generation of games.. since he had a attack of 115 and a special attack of 83. he's ghost moves are much more effective then the ones of gengar (during third gen games)
wel. thats the fail I think is the biggest till the newer gens.

When I was playing Colosseum (it was my first Pokemon game), a trainer near the beginning (I think it was the second battle of the game), used Hypnosis on my Espeon.  I wasn't sure how to wake Espeon, so after a few turns, I had Umbreon use Bite on Espeon.  Right before Umbreon attacked, Espeon woke up.  Oops...

the biggest fail in pokemon is losing a pokemon battles for me thats my biggest fail , for other people maybe not .

Trainers you can walk around are one of the most pointless / fail things in the world....
I mean... why would a not walk around a trainer I can be bothered to fight?

What I have always found odd in Pokemon(And all RPGs) is the fact that you can go into any room of any house, and nobody is bothered, as if that is normal. No wonder Team Rocket/Plasma/Magma/etc get so much power. People just let them do what they want until it is too late.
